Are you sure that’s a 1.5 tons AC and not a 1.5 hp? That unit looks quite small for a 1.5 ton unit (7.5hp).

Hey dude, I just wanted to ask that whether I should buy an ac (4 star 4.2 iseer) in 2020 or not because from 1st january 2021 iseer rating are going to change and all 4 star ac will become 3 star and 5 star will become 4 star...Only ACs rated 5.0 iseer or more will be rated 5 star. So will the AC's price will get cheaper when it will be sold with 3 star rating further???? Or I can get more efficient ac for same cost....?(I'm willing to wait) Kindly share your thoughts over this as I'm damn sure about the ratings which I've got from bee website...

I have several LG Inverter split systems. They are great except the air filters are very inadequet and dust cakes on the fan to the point of no cooling.
is there an alternative filter system. I clean the filters every 30 days and they just don't do the job.
True, thankfully, in the new 2019 models they have changed the design, now the filters are much bigger and the AC tells you when to clean them.

Nicely reviewed video. I have 196 sqft room with 2 doors and 2 Windows and sun directly falls on room is 1.5 ton sufficient for it .
Thank you, Vishal. 1.5Ton is on the borderline for a 196 sqft room, you can get away with 1.5Ton but should go for a 2Ton, especially if you live in cities where the temperatures cross 40 degrees. with Inverter AC's going for a larger unit is no problem since the tonnage is variable. a 2Ton AC will be under less stress than a 1.5Ton unit on hot summer days.

i think you calculate your room size with length X width X height formula, which is mean that was cubic feet (ft3) not square feet (ft2) :D

Great review buddy! Surprised that cooling capacity on the label is 5000 watts whereas Flipkart lists it at 3500 watts. I thought that was the reason for a smaller compressor!
Thank you, Bro. The 3500 watts should be 1Ton. I think you might be browsing the 1Ton mode, the indoor unit looks alike. 1.5Ton has a slightly bigger outdoor unit, but the indoor unit is the same.
Hey Charlie, I checked up on both the models. Flipkart has got its data specifications jumbled! It has listed the 1 ton specs for the 1.5 ton, and the 1.5 ton specs for the 1 ton.
In any case, I ordered the 1.5 ton unit after checking your content and also confirming on LG website.!
One question: when you clean your outdoor unit with water, how do u manage to avoid water damage on the electric control unit where the wires are connected ?

Upgraded to hot and cold earlier this year, but this AC was still working perfectly, the performance was fantastic, and nothing was wrong with it.

Anytime! 😊 I always try and reply to comments even if it's on an old video, by the way, are you looking for a new AC? if yes, I would highly suggest going for hot and cold models, it has been our best purchase so far, totally eliminating the need for heaters during winters, even made a review about the new AC that has replaced this one.
how many meter of wire can be use from ac to compressor?
I have purchased this A/C through flp krt, but there is no cooling effect. It is installed by JEEVS as authorised by flp crt. I have complained within 07 days of installation.But no fruitful initiative has been taken neither by flp crt nor by LG. It is simply wastage of money. I think I have taken a wrong step by purchasing this A/C

Yup! 100% sure about the size of the room, and yes it is a large room and 1.5 Ton is okay for it, its actually on the borderline, you can also go for 2Tons, the window AC that was replaced with this was 2 Tons, but this 1.5Ton Inverter AC has no problem cooling the room even on the hottest day when outside temperature is 45 degrees, it actually works better than the old window AC, takes about 10 minutes to bring the temperature down from 32-33 degrees in the room to 28 degrees even on the hottest days and this is the top floor, so the ceiling gets quite warm.
How much time does it take to go from 28 to 25 or below.

Do installation guys vaccumed the pipes using vaccum pump before opening the gas valve, after installation ?
Yeah, but you have to quite literally force them to do it, they will tell you all nonsense that it's not required, don't listen to that, just tell him to vacuum before opening.
@@TechGuyCharlie They were such an idiots that they did not even brought the vaccum pump in LG inv AC installation. Upon insisting to bring the pump they started talking non sense that it is not necessary and opened the valve without vaccuming and introduced moisture and nitrogen in the system.

They are highly incompetent, you have to stand on top of their heads to get the job done properly, I could have called our local tech, who's much better but then the installation was free. 😁
It should not cause any major problem though, I also have an LG non inverter 1 ton installed in 2012, installed without vacuuming lines, it's working fine, blows ice cold air.
at 12:18 there is an icon on LCD panel looks like a fan. can you please tell me what does it mean ? I have same AC. and it never appeared on it for 2 years. But since yesterday is showing up. Please help me understand.
It just lets you know when the compressor is running or not. You might have missed it because, It ALWAYS lights up whenever the outdoor unit is running, I have 5 star model of this AC, it also does the same thing, the fan icon lights up whenever the compressor is running .

Nope, no problems, there won't be any PCB problems as long as
1. The AC must be installed properly
2. Yearly service and cleaning of the indoor unit filter every month.
I also have another LG Dual Inverter, its the 4th summer for that AC and that outdoor unit sits in direct sunlight, even on 45-46 degree days, the AC chills the room but still, I would recommend having it installed in shade. Yes, it is still working fine, its only like 2 years old, I expect this to last at least 10 years without having any issues.

That is strange, the cooling should be really good. There should be a small label indicating the actual cooling capacity in Watts on both your AC's like this AC in the video is rated at 5000W and the one in my room is rated at 5275W, both are 1.5Tons, I was told the difference is due to the star rating. However, from my experience, 275 watt makes no noticeable difference in cooling, could you check that and see how much difference there is in the rating?
Does your outdoor unit fan keeps turning on and off?
Yup, it's normal, the outdoor unit fan will turn off when the compressor cycles off, but on an inverter AC if the compressor cycles off frequently during summers its a sign that your unit is oversized for the room. It happens on mine, but very rarely, it usually happens around September and beginning of summers when the outside temperature is cool.

I bought a 1.5ton ac for my 135 sq.ft room here outside temperature is too high so I bought 1.5ton but the compressor cycle turns off if the temperature is down what should I do
