Can you do a video on how to wire the power pole charge to your system? I have a single 36v for my tm and a single 12v for my main. I want to parallel both batteries
I would like to say I did not rig mikes boat. However, I am a pro guide dealer. As a retailer and installer I want to correct something he said so nobody fries their electrical system in their boat. Mikes 36v lithiums are going to be rigged in parallel NOT series. Parallel would keep it at 36v where series would be 72v. The same thing goes for his 12v side of things. They are parallel NOT in series. It’s a simple mix up of terminology but I would hate for someone to buy new Pro Guide batteries (or any other brand), put them in their boat and ruin their electrical system and or trolling motor. It’s a great video non the less and showcases a great product from pro guide batteries.
Since I can see Mike's outboard is a Yamaha VMax SHO, I must add that Yamaha does NOT approve any lithium ion battery for any of their outboards at this time and issues could result in Yamaha not honoring warranty on any damage caused. I have already experienced the motor shutting down on over-voltage recently which was proven to be caused by the lithium battery I was using as the cranking battery. Changed it to an AGM battery and over-voltage issue totally went away alluding to the fact that there was nothing wrong with the motor. Per Yamaha, their charging system just doesn't work well with lithium batteries. This is just information I thought would be helpful.
Pretty sure you meant parallel?
YES! Sorry I meant parallel!!
Mike....I've been trying to talk myself into switching the Lithium for months now... This video has pushed me over the edge! Heading to Omnia now....
Great in depth video Mike!!
Nice set up!
Cool setup! Question is, is there a concern using lithiums for cranking your Yamaha SHO?

Lol....
Thanks for clarifying series and parallel
I run a Charge as well. I'd like to see how he has his leads for the Charge connected to charge those stand by batteries.
Totally understand the wiring aspects (parallel vs series. What's Yamaha stance on lithiums?
@vernonneal7050 I run a SHO, and toy knowledge, Yamaha has no issues with Lithium. I don't run one, but several friends do without issue
@brent3323 Yamaha as a company has issues with lithiums. I called and talked to someone, was told Yamaha doesn't approve using lithiums for starting

In parallel, not in series, because you would double your voltage in series and fry everything on your boat. Please double check it, Mike!
Correct! I meant to say parallel! My apologies!
How long can you run the trolling motor on the single 36v
What charges the separate batteries?
All hooked up to the charging system!
Do you have to flip the switches to pick up the other batteries?
😮 All those batteries cost as much as my 2008 nitro or more *😮
Are you running the paired batteries in series to double the voltage or in parallel to keep the voltage the same?
Pretty sure he meant parallel.
He meant parallel
Parallel sorry! My mistake!
Gotta power all the cheatronics somehow.
Holy fire hazard 😅
