I noticed you said 50 caliber a few times. Just an FYI, 50 calibers refers to the barrel length. They’re 14”/50 caliber meaning 14”x50=700”, 700”/12= 58.334 feet. The Arizona has the 14”/45, while the New Mexico and California have 14”/50. The Colorado has 16/45s (60’) while the Iowa has (66.667’). Muzzle velocity and projectile drop are affected by the barrel length.
I love this ship for it's above average tier V health and its dispersion. The shells may spread out more, but it garantes that you will land a few. I'm currently on the 2nd to last stage on grober Kurfürst. I can't wait to sail it.

We stayed out of the war because we had just come out of the Great Depression so we didn't want to bankrupt ourselves. We wanted to remain neutral until the Japanese attacked us after we cut off their oil supplies to stop their war campaign into China. Fun fact. California actually got into a collision with her sister ship BB43 USS Tennessee

Infact our carriers went to the Midway Islands and with one battle took out almost the entire Japanese feel that attracted Pearl Harbor on December 7th. That and 6/7 battle ships that were sunk were raised and rebuilt with in 6 months and returned to Service. Plus the biggest mistake that any country could have made at that stage in the war was getting the U.S. involved bc when we do we kick butt. This was one of the lessons Hitler learned during his time on the front lines in WWI.

She-hulk of the US Navy. I remember my very first match on Versus AI, the USS California stalked me across the map after I struck her, she didn't stop until I was dead every hit vibrated my headphones, my ears ringing a little that night.
We stayed neutral because a lot of us didn't care about Europe and the wars that followed. We also had a lot of elites that were in bed with the Germans (operation paperclip is an example of that) so there was many reasons why we stayed out of WW2 for so long.
The other was indeed the USS Tennessee, nicknamed "Rebel". The version of the class we see is the refurbished class, because the original design had torpedoes. I want the Tennessee herself, with the option of orange and white checkerboard camo.
So basically you are basically playing a ship that had done the naughty with the New Mexico and Colorado. New Mexico for being THICCCC and 4 turrets Colorado for the damage.
Love Love Love this BIG GIRL. She is my favorite go to ship when I have bad games or want to just have fun. She makes me play fearless and ANY little nat type destroyer that comes near me gets taken out with the secondaries so I can just concentrate on just my main guns and the imminent threat, while dodging torps here and there.Like you said her AA is NASTY as well. As long as I take the angry fish hit in the right spot she shakes that shit right off. She reminds me of GODZILLA out on the sea. Her speed could be better but it does'nt bother me. I survived multiple battles by being torped,multiple times, lit on fire with 3 fires burning and still came back and destroyed both them ships and won. She is my RIDE OR DIE Girl. lol After that she became my favorite. Not only is she a thick ass girl which I love literally, but she also has her dark side. Let's Go CALI GIRL!

She turns very nicely and torps don't hurt unless they're fully upgraded Japanese torps. I took one during a ranked battle from I think it was a British dd and said "did I just get hit by a torp?" I barely took damage. Citadel damage is tough to do to the ship because of her extra torp protection but takes chunk damage easily. Slow as all hell, I struggle to do 19 nots but that's because of my captain build but the 15 inch guns are dangerous to even dds. Main turrets actually turn faster than the ship itself so you don't have to swing the ship to target something else unlike the kongo monstrously slow turret turn
With regards to what you were saying about the US dragging their heels about getting into the war, I think it has a lot to do with not long being out of the depression era. At the time I believe the US was only just gaining back it’s financial control and prosperity from that period of time so the idea of potential financial ruin through involvement in a war that at that time ‘didn’t belong to them’ was too much to bear, and that was the overall sentiment of the American people at the time which does make a good deal of sense to me. America was still very much involved in the war in other ways, either by a lend lease program with us that gave us much needed equipment and technical expertise in exchange for intelligence information. There was also the eagle squadron experiment which gave American civilians with flight experience the chance to fly in the Battle of Britain on behalf of the RAF. And I imagine most of us are very familiar with the stories of Tex Hill, Pappy Boyington and the like during their time as members of the American Volunteer Group, the ‘Flying tigers’ and their general badassery flying the beautiful P-40s in China. You had your reasons anyway!
You raise good historical points re our entry into WW2. The argument for American neutrality was more economical than philosophical. Back then we had a booming self-contained economy. I think historical backdrop enhances the WOWS experience because policy drove the designs of these ships that we love to play! It was WW2 that caused the Navy to permanently maintain the ability to fight a two front war.
I freaking love this ship. You had me dying with alot of junk in the trunk. I still went with steering gears mod due to I tend to get match with alot if destroyers.
Oh yes, one of my favorite Tier 5 game ships. It's an enjoyable ship to play. Has good distance and targets other ships really well. It takes a good hit as well. But if you get broadsided by this one, look out. Half or more of your ship value instantly vanishes. I've one shot a fair number of ships with this mighty blaster.
I like the way you gave credit to your fearsome enemy. Good player knows how to respect another good one. 👍 If he won, he would have over 4000 base xp. So yeah u both did awesome!

Just started playing this game, began working on this bureau assignment. Had a question though - The introductory bureau mission rewards the Campbeltown. I completed that line, but I cannot find the ship anywhere in my fleet. Can someone point me in the right direction?
The final segment is 10 stages AND 975k points needed instead of 900k. The final segment will take atleast a week with all the requirements. P.s. 640 turning circle is average for the slow dreadnought BBs.

I don't like tank builds because the lack of range and accuracy just kill its viability when you got cruisers farming you with HE from outside your firing range and you gotta think of how slow these ships are as well so you engage the side you're on then are essentially useless the rest of the match.
The general opinion in the US, prior to december 7, 1941, was against entering active wareffort. People didn’t want to send sons, brothers, fathers into a conflict, that in reality didn’t have anything to do with them. It took an unprovoked attack on the pacific fleet to change that. 😉
The arizona seems more accurate and her 45 caliber 14 inch guns are capable of deleting cruisers much easier than the 50 caliber 14 inch guns of NM and Cali
I have about half a million xp on the ship already and I do like it. However I just wish they made it really tanky like Arizona. Idk maybe because it's so fat its easier to penetrate. How do you think it stacks up to arizona spartan?

Those American Standard type battleships that were rebuilt after Pearl Harbor like the California and West Virginia just look AMAZING in my opinion.
They are some of the best looking and strongest battleships in history! I absolutely love their perfect design!
