The biggest downgrade for me will always be the stages or lack of. It never makes any sense to me how WWE had the most creative and cool looking stages 20 years ago yet nowadays with more money than ever we get the same basic big screen every show and PPV. It’s just lazy. Also bring back entrance videos too
And these videos are so easy to make for WWE... WWE really is great in doing hype package videos and they do it all the time. It must be so easy for them to do the entrance videos for the superstars.
The biggest downgrade will always be the arenas. Raw gave us a gritty underground aura to the arena while SmackDown had the iconic fist stage going through the glass titantron (I assume) giving us clean aura will always be missed. Nowadays all we get is bigger screens for titantrons.
The problem is, WWE went into Corporate Logos, Arena, and Graphics, and also, almost no Rock music now, gosh, even the wrestler now doesn't have Rock in their themes, It doesn't feel agression, jesus just look the RAW 2004 arena and graphics, not talking about the STACKED roaster of course, everything was agression, evertyhing felt WRESTLING
No there aren’t event big screens anymore. They have smaller sets to get more fans in the arenas. I’d rather have more fans there watching than a fancy stage.
Broken Dreams was the perfect theme for Drew at that time, It makes sense more than even to now bring it back again after the things he went through this year, Like, losing the title at WM after Damian made his cash-in, CM Punk costing him while being the guest referee, Him not being able to win the MITB briefcase etc..

So if you favor the scratch logo over the clean one, that’s fine by me. I highly disagree on the survivor series one. The Raw vs SD was so boring and really didnt mean anything to the comapny. The every company changes logo to something clean was actually in the last decade, turning everything clean and minimalistic was the whole obsession, now more complex logos, maximalistic designs are making a comeback, SmackDown's new logo itself is a great example, more demand for art and effort is coming back and might be totally back by next decade.

At some point during the end of Kane's career wwe did make Kane look like a joke with his corporate Kane gimmick but I felt everytime Kane was "the big red machine" he always felt like a threat to the rest of the roster even tho he wasn't winning champions and was losing most of his rivalries he still always looked like a monster rather than a jobber and was taken serious from the authority and on screen authority characters, Kane isn't on The Undertakers level but his far from being a jobber when his mask got changed while it looked trash. Kane deserves his flowers with the career he had I wish Vince had given Kane a much better run as champion during the late 2000's and early 2010's
Cody is exactly what I feared he’d be as a champion/“main guy”. He’s a charisma vacuum and beyond “finish the story” what exactly does he bring to the table? There’s a reason why Vince didn’t see him as a potential main guy, and now he’s been given that shot it just proves him right. He has zero “aura” and is completely forgettable as a champion.
As much as I may agree with a lot of this the fact is times change & you gotta modernize it just sucks how uncreative creative are sometimes, anyway we're just the fanbase & have no say over how things are portrayed the booking though absolutely you can criticize the heck out of that as much as you want
