- On this episode of Station Cribs we travel to West Whiteland, PA to West Whiteland Police Department to take a tour inside! West Whiteland Police Department is a fully accredited Pennsylvania law enforcement agency. Being an accredited law enforcement agency means that they can see a decrease in liability insurance as well as reducing risk and exposure to lawsuits, encourages problem-solving activities within the agency and increasing employee input, and it extends agency accountability to the public as well as helping to develop methods for providing services to the community. They share a space in the West Whiteland Township building and have very high-end facilities and equipment. This department does a great job covering the West Whiteland Township and making sure that it's residents are kept safe. We want to thank them for having us out! If you are interested in becoming an officer with West Whiteland please check them out at chester.crimewatchpa.com/west...

Thank you guys for what are you guys do keep up the great work and be safe out there
Nice change of pace video.
Good to see the behind the scenes of an operational police department.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching
The uniform laundry service is great. I had it for band uniforms in college, and it was awesome to just shove it in a bag at the end of a long gameday, not having to worry about transporting it home, remembering all of the components for the next game, getting the wash settings right, etc. It made the uniform something I didn't have to think about.
I can totally see the value for a police/fire/EMS department too. Awesome resource for their use!
I love seeing fire stations, but it's nice to change things up and see a PD! Happy New Year Mike, thanks for all the videos!
Thanks for watching and being a long time subscriber! Happy new year to you too!
Having a service do the uniforms also limits possible exposures at home too. If there by chance is a bodily fluid or other hazmat on the uniform then you don't bring it home. I agree w/ Mike this would be ideal for EMS as well.
*this
This is a great vid and not just something different. Without getting arrested but this shows what the process is kind of like. Taking your fingerprints and photos. Thanks for the video and happy 2022
You are welcome. We hope now that we have this out others will invite us in too.
I just want to say thank you for your service
Thank you so much for the police crib!
You are welcome. We hope to do more in the future too
Changing it up, very nice!
We keep this fresh 😉
I actually visited the PD a few years ago. I was awe struck by the architecture of the building in general.
Yeah it’s a great place
@@HeroesNextDoor You should do the Main biulding of Pima County Sheriffs Department here in Tucson AZ is gigantic and fancy too!
GREAT VID THANKS!!!
Thanks for watching!
DECENT ! WAY TO CHANGE IT UP A LIL ! LEARNED A LOT ! MUCH RESPECT ! PEASE BE WITH YOU AND YOURS !🇺🇸
Thanks! Happy New Year!
Congratulations on hitting the 50,000 subscriber mark!
Thank you we can’t do it without all your support
awesome video
Thank you for watching. This hopefully was only the beginning for the police side of the channel
Greetings from West Whiteland. Great video. Great police unit.
Hey, thanks!
Love the Custodian helmets. Wonder how they ended up so far away from home?
@2:58 I like that the Chief has got a British police constable hat on the shelf, I think it is really key to thing about other forces as well as your own. Thanks again for these videos, happy new year everyone!
Happy New Years! Thanks for watching!
Love the crack pipe discreetly hidden in the baseball collection lol!
glad im not the only one that noticed 😂
😏🤔
Great video! I retired several years ago from the Santa Barbara Police Dept ( 130 officers) ( Southern Cal ). I worked in the same dept for 27 years. Officer etc are still working out of the same building, which is over 70 years old. Over the years changes have been made but it’s still the same building. The city is still in the process of trying to build a new dept but lots of red tape to still go thru. When I watch this video and look at the equipment, space etc , I can’t tell you how incredibly nice it would had been to work in nice, modern building like this one. If you were to compare this dept in the video to our dept video, you would fall over!
Appreciate your service and forming the roads we rely on today. Hope you like how we are attempting to represent. Thank you for watching
As a brit LEO, I loved seeing the Custodian helmets around the station. Great video, so interesting to see a station over the pond!
Thank you for watching. There is much more to come
Second this comment! Great to see some custodians making their way to the states! Great video, crazy how different stations are there compared to the uk.
more police stations !!!!
Our PD’s here in Monroe have no holding cells. When they arrest you, state and local PD take you directly to the county jail, where you are booked.
🤔
the incompetency is impeccable
What are you talking about
It’s nice to see a small agency honor all its officers…two AND four legged
We want to honor all that work to help others that includes the animals too
Sergeant seems like a great dude to work under and that he isn't one of those power Trip cops. Dude is just doing his job and serving the public.
He is great and the entire place is great, very professional and personable
@@HeroesNextDoor You can definitely tell! great video.
This is awesome I lived in the Oxford, Exton, Downingtown & Coatsville areas for 18 years and I love seeing these places.
Your welcome glade you like them. Thanks for watching
Have you ever thought of doing Dauphin County PA? IDK if they are apart of Heroes Next Door but I've been there alot and I love their sheriffs office and FireDepartment.
Yes we have been up there already and hope to go back. We have to figure out the schedule since it books quickly
@@HeroesNextDoor Have you made a video there? If so what would it be called so I could see that?
The baseballs are awesome! I saw our local baseball team up there
And a crack pipe was in there too lol
What’s you favorite
🤭
Come do a tour of Valley Ambulance Authority right outside of Pittsburgh, we'd love to have you!
Send us an invite to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail.com. So we can work on a schedule for this year
We can clean them and have people trained in special handling. We before my family had to close used to do the dry cleaning for the local PD and Sheriffs Clothes. The reason the FD and EMS don’t do it is because of all the hazardous stuff (smoke, blood, unsanitary items) those take special training, safety, and gear and almost no dry cleaners in the US can handle it. Plus those gear if you look probably say to not dry clean and have special instructions (which we probably can’t meet) where as the police clothes say dry clean or have instructions that we can do.
Edit: can you when you do police videos ask about Juvenile protocols, please? Thanks!
What kinda cost would it be for a service like that to clean uniforms. Most of us just wash our clothes at home
@@HeroesNextDoor For the clothing of PD it depends. Literal price tag would be depending easily $15+ for fire and medical best to be done at home or station. For police maybe $10+ since those don’t go into fire and medical emergencies the benefits again depending can be press, stain removal (especially those that can’t be taken out at home), and can be returned looking new. Being 17 I am going off of what I know our families dry cleaning used to do and what I know.
got arrested by west whiteland once. always wondered what the rest of the building other than the booking room looked like 🤣
Were they respectful? Meeting these guys I’m putting money that you were cared for no matter what happened
@@HeroesNextDoor i guess as respectful as a cop can get. but to answer the question they didn’t treat me bad or anything. i was more annoyed that they arrested me for one tiny little nug of weed 🤣🤣
Bit of hair sticking up on the sergeant makes one think of Alfalfa and his personality on the Little Rascals.
Yeah he yelled at me for not letting him know. My fault I did not see it until we edited the video. I focused on the questions and storyline. Great dude though he was a good sport. I consider him a real friend for even inviting us out
You need to come to Shelby NC and tour our Police Department/911 Comm that’s a repurposed bank building, and our fire department headquarters campus.
We are headed back to the OuterBanks are they near there?
Whaaat? The aerial shots looks like a UN conventional building 😂🤣. But my oh my...I from another part of the globe and what you have here would be considered a palace..am ot kidding.
Two things I picked. The gentleman's hair cut is not finito.😨 And your question asking module is great, where you ask general and stereotypical things depicted on TV..like the ironbar cells or the mugshot scenes😂🤣😂😂
The officer was not happy that his hair was out of place. He asked me to fix it in editing, but I couldn’t. I should’ve noticed while we were filming but I didn’t sorry to the officer. He’s a great dude, very professional, and an awesome interview.
Lovely precinct
Well cared for too
Excellent police station
I think we need to pool together and get Station Cribs a vacuum. Clearly he's calling out for one.
😂😂😂
Your Chanel got more impressive, hope you will got so much views and subscribers that you don’t need to put your life in danger, you are perfect for this job in specially that you work in it!
Your Chanel is more realist than specific fire stations channels where I’m given the impression that only “nephews” are shown and normal people think that is real,is not but they lie themselves!
I don’t know your story, but can please stop saying ok every time? Just use your head to let them know you understand!
I’m still learning how to host. Never thought I would be doing this. Glade you like it and hope we do people proud
Funny seeing a Seahawks helmet in the LT’s office
Everyone to there own
The first police video ive seen from this channel can you try DOT stations
? Do you have contacts? Tell us more about DOT
@@HeroesNextDoor im 10… so nvm :(
Hey Mike come on out to Coatesville PD Station. We have the old style iron bar holding cells you referenced!
We need and invite and we can book it
Worked over at Chester county prison, go get a tour! Make correctional officers recognize
All we need is an invite !!!
You should come check out south Jacksonville fire department in Illinois
Send invites and we will see if we can schedule that. We are planning to head back to the mid west soon
To be honest I like the police station more. I have a ton of knowledge about police and fire services. I would love to see more police stations, and more police vehicle tours. Maybe a SRT truck next?
Thank you for watching. We hope to do more in the future but police stations are harder to get invites too. Security and all 😉
as i brit I couldn't help but notice the amount of custodian helmets I understand Pennsylvania was a part of the 13 colonies so i guess there is small link to Britain but i still don't get why they would have so many custodian helmets
Someone’s collection I guess
I like the decorative and anti-ram spheres lining the sidewalk
Smart and functional
Ok... So. Is that what I think it is set in with the baseballs at 21:35?
😏
3:49 I see the London police hat (uk)
Cool police chief
Hello my name is John Morton I am from daton ohio love theyes shows
Thank you
Do this police station have a place for the SWAT vehicles and gear, including the equipment?
They do not have it there. This county does a combination team the all that equipment is stored off site
Ok, Thanks anyway for the info.
What is a township? From CA so never heard of that.
Under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a township is the lowest level municipal corporation of government. All of Pennsylvania's land area outside of incorporated cities, boroughs, and one town has been incorporated into a township which serves as the legal entity providing local self-government functions.
I can't believe Mr. Potatohead is still locked up! Don't taters have the right to a speedy trial too!
🤣😂👍🏻
Nice fire company
All sides of heroes next door need some love too 😉
Do they do the blood drawl for DWI manslaughter or intoxication agg assault
Blood draws are done with the assistance from the local ambulance service.
@@HeroesNextDoor oh cause I know County jail has medical officers who do that.
Do you stay in Pennsylvania or do you go to other states too?
We go to other states too. We’ve been to Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, and North Carolina
I haven't seen those videos yet. Sorry about that. Stay safe & Thanks for your service
Hi Hills this is wondering if you could contact our fire chief for the lone oak fire dept ky we are a volunteer station and I would really appreciate it if you could get it for you there
We can try
My police department in white settlement Texas is 1 story
This looks like a really expensive and well designed site, you mean all I have to do is commit a crime nearby and I can actually live here rent free?
speaking from experience, the 12's would be fine but the 2 week day/night switch. I do not think most officers would like that, in ky were still not even fully switched to intox 8000
Time to get arrested 🤣 try out their cells 🤣🤣
Lol definitely now I figured out my New Years plan 😂. Happy new year to u
😂😂😂
His a question. I know you said you're a fireman or a paramedic
Could you show us your station
It was the first station cribs. Minquas fire Downingtown. I have since changed companies and also did an episode of a giveaway at my station
You should contact Monticello Indiana Police Department I know the chief. His name is Jason Leganfelter you should contact him
Can you take my speeding tickets off my record @C.I.A ?
We normally wait for invites so if he wants us to come please have him send us an email to watchheroesnextdoor@gmail.com We are headed back to Indiana this year sometime.
I thought we was going to see the patrol vehicles
Check out our other video we did that already
FREE MR.POTATO HEAD!
Wonder about the fact that it's not standard nation wide, to have uniform cleaned by a professional service. We have a strict rule not to carry anything home, uniform or equipment, due to personal and public safety, health care issues (HIV, HEPC ect.). In the past two years, the health care issue is even more important and a reason to be fired from job, not following the rules.
You think it should be but NOPE. We are NOT to leave uniforms at work, we must take home to wash
@@HeroesNextDoor And what about critical situations? Highly infectious laundry after transport?
I still want to know what's up with Mr Potato head lol
🤔
Ok big question, can I be qualified to become a sworn police officer even if I wear prescription glasses?
Yes
@@HeroesNextDoor I live in California, so I hope they will have the same policy as your local police department.
Yea you can. I’m currently in the police academy and I wear glasses as well. As long as you can pass the vision test in the hiring process you should be good.
@@swagAdrianne1625 so basically they are allowing candidate who are wearing glasses to take the vision test without taking it off? Alright, I nearly complete the Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and I will apply to the police in this year and hope they will accept me as a candidate who need correctional glasses to do the job,
@@Trident_V yes I took the vision test with them on and I passed since I’m seeing you 20/20 with my prescription. Good luck on your journey! I’m sure living in California there’ll be plenty of departments that are hiring.
Matatan"
Ribirin H-S"
Looks like a school
You are right but a modern school
Police station? Looks more like a theme park.
😂
Early 😀
Yes you were. Thanks for watching
21:36 kinda sus
@21:36 is that a crack pipe in with the base balls? 😅
😏😂
Not being funny but they say to keep up to date with law but then they still give press journalists a hard time surely that should be a law that they need to learn more on
Not sure what you are talking about
Police some departments don't know the laws about journalists
The Officer needs to get his money back for that hair cut.
Edit, I mean the male officer with the cow lick in the back.
😂 we noticed it during editing too. He was not happy but it is what it is.
@@HeroesNextDoor It's all good, it is a job not a fashion show. He still looks very professional.
police station
Yep

Thanks for watching
first
Awesome
Nice crack pipe in the baseball display
🤔
Waste of money
How you figure?
I'm sorry but I hate when you interupt people, it's rude and quite annoying.
I’m sorry you feel I interrupted anyone. The guest don’t feel that way. They know we are trying to keep moving for the viewers. I will make more of an effort to not come across that way. It’s not intentional. Thanks for watching
