Nice Shot 🤙🏼
If you dont mind me asking where abouts in the river is this im about to go out the Tweed River and was wondering the better spots for spearing!? Is it around sandy island?
Noza GRAVEY just along the rock wall near fingal
Tweed Krill Catchers thanks so much!!
Noza GRAVEY no problem
Tweed Krill Catchers and im just wondering what tide is the best for vis and diving?!
Noza GRAVEY if in the river you have to go at the top of high tide other wise it’s the colour of dirt and undiveable. High tide tomorrow is like 1oclock in the arvo.
Good shooting. Last time I went spearfishing (45 years ago) I had a 12 gauge powerhead on the end of my spear. Mainly went for sharks that we sold to the local fish and chips shop. Powerheads are illegal nowadays though.
Nick Coudounellis damn that’s awesome. What were you shooting? Sharks?
@@tweedkrillcatchers Yes we use to go out to wedding cake island at Coogee for sharks. I had a 12 gauge and also a 44 magnum powerhead and my mate had a shark dart. The only problem was that after shooting the 12 gauge a few times the spear shaft use to bend but use to be great fun
That sounds so sick, but scary haha
U go there spearfishing very often?
yeah go pretty well every weekend
DeadlyMajesty356 nah sorry man, I don’t really do that kind of stuff. Just a bit sketchy cause I don’t know you or anything. Your probably really nice but I just wouldn’t be allowed. Sorry man

Best of luck though, hope you get some fish :)
3:19 where is that at ?
In the river
Didn’t think you could spear in this area ( Boyd’s bay bridge to the entrance & rocky point to the entrance) ???????
Stephen Blaney nah this area is in the zone where you can spear
Tweed Krill Catchers. I WAS THINKING ABOUT COMMERCIAL NETTING NOT SPEARING 👍👍
Stephen Blaney oh true

k0o I actually have no clue it’s just all different parts put together
Tweed Krill Catchers ok sick
@@tweedkrillcatchers also do you have your gun tied to a float line or to you ?
k0o I just have my gun by itself not ties to me or a buoy
What size gun ?
1 metre
Sorry for the extremely late reply
What gun are you using in this video
It’s a multi cultural gun haha. Lots of pieces of different brands
how many wraps of mono/dynema do you run on your gun?
Darcy Marnane just two wraps :)
Tweed Krill Catchers do you use mono or dynema?
Darcy Marnane mono for us, but dynema works fine
Ahh Pretty sure you cannot spear inside ? Just looked it up and sure enough!!!
Jason Whitesides you’re allowed to spear in tweed river

Just reading over this. Like tour thoughts on spearing in the river. Do you just avoid the river mouth?
can you spearfish all tweed river or are you only aloud to spearfish a certain spot of the river?
Zayne Abdullah if you read Toms Honey comment and look at the replies I linked a website that shows where you can’t spear in tweed river.
