If Jesus didn't travel and interacted with many people from diverse ethnicities and religions, I'd be quite disappointed. Infinite human curiosity sounds to me a very God-like characteristic. It makes more sense that He traveled and studied abroad than Him staying home while people of his own age were traveling, especially for a person who attempted to reform judaism to the point that He actually became the source of various other religions, spiritual and social movements.
I’ve been to Shingo to visit the Japanese “grave of christ”. It is a weird, charming little place. It’s intriguing to learn about the lore of their version of the life of Jesus, plus the little museum there also has a lot of neat artifacts from throughout Shingo’s history.

Maybe that’s why so many Hindus historically have often had a tendency to be more likely to convert to Christianity at a much higher rate than the other religions in India (Islam, Buddhism, Sikh, Jain Dharma etc.) even to this very day. If... and that’s a big IF that Jesus taught in India and I must confess I have my doubts but hypothetically speaking if he did teach in India as a kind of “warm up” before the “main event” if you will, then maybe the growth of Christianity in India reflects that influence and perhaps even a subconscious sense that his feet once trod upon their very land. Ya never know. Though now that I think about it, there is a another much more likely possibility. Jesus‘s disciple Thomas, better known by his infamous nickname “Doubting Thomas” despite being the one who had doubted Jesus early on would go on to gain the self-confidence to be one of Jesus‘s most courageous disciples and would eventually go on to be the very first Christian in history to bring the gospel of his Lord and Savior to India. And having traveled all the way there, he would in a twist of irony, end up selflessly sacrificing his own life, not unlike his beloved master had before him.

@@pug9431he’s likely talking about the apocryphal texts. These are a large amount of writings that’s some consider to be holy scripture, and most don’t. You’ll have to do your research and make your own opinions. But your best bet is to get a completely comprehensive book of apocryphal texts. It’s about as thick as the Bible. The version I have is called “the other Bible” Some of these books were actually in the bible up to the 1600’s and even then we’re in there in the apocryphal section. By that time, they were no longer considered canon. Within these apocryphal books are: -a continuation of Adam and Eve, telling their lives after being banished from the garden of Eden -stories of Jesus Christ in other parts of his life (infancy and others) -other psalms and wisdoms and letters that were found throughout even recent history. The Dead Sea scrolls are a great example of something that is apocryphal and clearly Christian, but may not be genuinely holy scripture. Good luck

Great job on telling the story about Jesus's 18 year gap of history from the Bible and what possibly might have happened. But there was one possible error made when you compared the two ideologies of Christianity and Buddhism. At 38:40 you state that Jesus taught his followers to always be "good and never evil", and that Siddartha encouraged his disciples to seek "the middle path between these two extremes". The extremes Siddartha was referring to was not between "good and evil" but between "selflessness and self service". While you could certainly place "good and evil" under the umbrella of ""selflessness and self service", there is a big distinction between the actual evil of rape, murder and theft and not wearing beggars clothes or feeding yourself fully. Living a balanced life between the self and selflessness was what he was advocating for. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding his message, he didn't consider "the middle path" as being "just a little bit evil" or "not fully good".
I really feel and know that there are no differences between Buddhism and Christianity nor even Hinduism…. Really enjoyed this video; it's always strange but pleasant to see Glastonbury talked about, as I live in North-East Somerset and have spent a lot of time in Glastonbury. My father spent the last months of his life in a nursing home there, and the story of Jesus visiting Glastonbury as a child is definitely still spoken of there. I also love that Mr Mythos used an image of the Tor in the background, I'll be visiting it again at New Year with my partner.
My heart sank when you started talking about the early 1900's in Japan and got to the 40s... Nazareth was a backwater in the province of Judea. Philip one of the disciples was actually quoted saying can anything good come from Nazareth? Meaning it was such a backwater place that the disciples had a hard time believing that the son of God would grow up in such a backwater as Nazareth. I truly believe that Nazareth was a place even a prodigy like Jesus people wouldn't care to much about cause they were too busy making ends meet. I believe he helped his family with chores whatever they might have been to survive in a backwater town and the the rest of the time he was in prayer. I mean with God as your father your have the best ever father and companion to talk too. How could you possibly get bored with the creator of the universe as your father.

What seems mysterious to me is in the part about Hemis monastery theres an obvious problem that is seemingly overlooked, which is that Hemis was established in the 1600s and Buddhism did not exist there or in Tibet 2000 years ago, both places had the Bon religion at that time. They didn't record the early life because Greko-Roman historians didn't usually track the early life of a historical person, they usually start when the protagonist starts his main journey of teaching etc. Luke and Matthew only have his childhood in them, because that was important for them for fullfilled prophecies. Probably nothing too crazy happened before Jesus picking disciples. All stories of Jesus not dying and instead returning in secret to somewhere are obviously folklore.

The Bible warns us of angels coming preaching a different message and interestingly a lot of historic examples date Jesus as not having died and instead ending up either raised to heaven or living out on earth. This 18-year gap is arguably one of the best things going for Christ. He waits, not out of desperation, but for His time, "for his time had not yet come". He knew that the Father wanted him to preach only in his 30s, and he waited. One of the hardest things for the most devout to consider is that Jesus probably did *nothing* in between this time gap, as he only started his ministry to show people what His Father was doing. It shows that he knew when he was needed. Reminds me of the scene from Man of Steel when Pa Kent is helping people out of the tornado, and Clark (Superman) is just about to step in and save the day, but his dad stops him with a hand gesture as to say "people are not ready for you yet. Your time has not yet come." Its a very messianic message that conveys a sort of foreknowledge-even though he knows he can fix the whole world if He were allowed, he knows that his purpose is specific and should only be used at a certain time. But he waits, allowing for evil to continue in the present, waiting for that specific moment that it could be crushed forever.
I told a co worker once that I believe in the existence of dinosaurs. She doesn't because they are not mentioned in the Bible. I told her because dinosaurs have nothing to do with our salvation. Jesus paid in his blood, to wash away our sins. Because he Never sinned. God is way way way beyond human. But he applies in us his love, which All humans have potential too developed. And I do believe, even though Jesus answers to his highest superior which is His Father, that somehow, they are one in the same. Otherwise in the book of Genesis, why would the father said "they are trying to be like US", mentioning the betrayal of Adam and Eve eating fruit from the Tree Of Knowledge. God allows evil....for a time. So when his glory comes to save us, we will clearly see the error of our ways. Peace.

There is a book called “the Aquarian gospel of Jesus the Christ”. It tells his life uninterrupted. The first place he went to was India. He did go to Tibet. Also made it to Greece. Regardless of where he went to in that time it’s a very good book to read.

That is the Diamond body in Taoism, or Nirvana/ Perfect Body or Rainbow Light body in certain Tibetan Buddhist teachings. It is the core of all major religion or theological teachings , even down to most of the Indigenous beliefs and earliest pagan teachings

It would have been very *very* worth mentioning the Bhavishya Purana in the India section. The Puranas are a volume of Vedic texts, the Bhavishya Purana being one of those certain and accepted authentic scriptures. The text contains a dialogue between Jesus (called Isha Putra in Sanskrit, "son of God") and the Aryan king at the time. He describes to the king the principles he has accumulated and taught to the adharmic / barbaric peoples. Absolutely worth looking into.

I'd love to see what you can find out about the indigenous populations experience with Jesus. When I lived with the Lakota for about 6 months, one of the sons of Chief Bald Eagle told me about a myth they had of Jesus visiting them during that 18-year gap. I can't remember the full story, but what I do remember is that they spent time together instilling a love and respect of nature. I've heard that there are other tribes that hold similar myths. It would be nice to see if you can get to the bottom of this. I know it seems impossible that this could happen, but if you're the son of God, would it be impossible to hold time and space up a bit while you visit different civilizations?

There's a documentary on the irish druids on youtube called "The Last Druid" where the druid being interviewed speaks briefly on Jesus and said that he came to learn from them in his teen years. Of course they don't write anything down. The documentary is very interesting for other reasons too as he says a lot of things relevent to other hidden history stuff too.
I visited Glastonbury for the first time last year. It was amazing seeing the abbey ruins and the thorn tree. I love the lore of the area and it seems to have powerful spiritual energy, from both the druids and the work Joseph did there. Lots of Christianity and goddess worship entertwined. And not to mention there are some tie ins with the legend of King Arthur too. Culturally rich area!

I was surprised when I visited a Hindu temple and people talked enthusiastically about how Jesus visited an Indian temple in the lost years. I thought it was neat that they had a story that connected them to Christian and American culture. Not surprised that even Japan has its own story!

If Jesus didn't travel and interacted with many people from diverse ethnicities and religions, I'd be quite disappointed. Infinite human curiosity sounds to me a very God-like characteristic. It makes more sense that He traveled and studied abroad than Him staying home while people of his own age were traveling, especially for a person who attempted to reform judaism to the point that He actually became the source of various other religions, spiritual and social movements.

Who knows? Maybe that’s why so many Hindus historically have often had a tendency to be more likely to convert to Christianity at a much higher rate than the other religions in India (Islam, Buddhism, Sikh, Jain Dharma etc.) even to this very day. If... and that’s a big IF that Jesus taught in India and I must confess I have my doubts but hypothetically speaking if he did teach in India as a kind of “warm up” before the “main event” if you will, then maybe the growth of Christianity in India reflects that influence and perhaps even a subconscious sense that his feet once trod upon their very land. Ya never know. Though now that I think about it, there is a another much more likely possibility. Jesus‘s disciple Thomas, better known by his infamous nickname “Doubting Thomas” despite being the one who had doubted Jesus early on would go on to gain the self-confidence to be one of Jesus‘s most courageous disciples and would eventually go on to be the very first Christian in history to bring the gospel of his Lord and Savior to India. And having traveled all the way there, he would in a twist of irony, end up selflessly sacrificing his own life, not unlike his beloved master had before him.

@@pug9431he’s likely talking about the apocryphal texts. These are a large amount of writings that’s some consider to be holy scripture, and most don’t.
You’ll have to do your research and make your own opinions. But your best bet is to get a completely comprehensive book of apocryphal texts. It’s about as thick as the Bible. The version I have is called “the other Bible”
Some of these books were actually in the bible up to the 1600’s and even then we’re in there in the apocryphal section. By that time, they were no longer considered canon.
Within these apocryphal books are:
-a continuation of Adam and Eve, telling their lives after being banished from the garden of Eden
-stories of Jesus Christ in other parts of his life (infancy and others)
-other psalms and wisdoms and letters that were found throughout even recent history. The Dead Sea scrolls are a great example of something that is apocryphal and clearly Christian, but may not be genuinely holy scripture.

Great job on telling the story about Jesus's 18 year gap of history from the Bible and what possibly might have happened. But there was one possible
error made when you compared the two ideologies of Christianity and Buddhism. At 38:40 you state that Jesus taught his followers to always be "good and never evil", and that Siddartha encouraged his disciples to seek "the middle path between these two extremes". The extremes Siddartha was referring to was not between "good and evil" but between "selflessness and self service". While you could certainly place "good and evil" under the umbrella of ""selflessness and self service", there is a big distinction between the actual evil of rape, murder and theft and not wearing beggars clothes or feeding yourself fully. Living a balanced life between the self and selflessness was what he was advocating for. Unless I'm completely misunderstanding his message, he didn't consider "the middle path" as being "just a little bit evil" or "not fully good".
I really feel and know that there are no differences between Buddhism and Christianity nor even Hinduism…. The moment person labels or judges the thing the tao or god in the thing gets disappeared that is why we must understand that it is illusion of manifested world and there is way beyond the labels and form … god is formless, god is no thing as we are no thing we are god himself

Really enjoyed this video; it's always strange but pleasant to see Glastonbury talked about, as I live in North-East Somerset and have spent a lot of time in Glastonbury. My father spent the last months of his life in a nursing home there, and the story of Jesus visiting Glastonbury as a child is definitely still spoken of there. I also love that Mr Mythos used an image of the Tor in the background, I'll be visiting it again at New Year with my partner.

What seems mysterious to me is in the part about Hemis monastery theres an obvious problem that is seemingly overlooked, which is that Hemis was established in the 1600s and Buddhism did not exist there or in Tibet 2000 years ago, both places had the Bon religion at that time. They didn't record the early life because Greko-Roman historians didn't usually track the early life of a historical person, they usually start when the protagonist starts his main journey of teaching etc. Luke and Matthew only have his childhood in them, because that was important for them for fullfilled prophecies. Probably nothing too crazy happened before Jesus picking disciples.

The Bible warns us of angels coming preaching a different message and interestingly a lot of historic examples date Jesus as not having died and instead ending up either raised to heaven or living out on earth. This 18-year gap is arguably one of the best things going for Christ. He waits, not out of desperation, but for His time, "for his time had not yet come". He knew that the Father wanted him to preach only in his 30s, and he waited. One of the hardest things for the most devout to consider is that Jesus probably did *nothing* in between this time gap, as he only started his ministry to show people what His Father was doing. It shows that he knew when he was needed.
Reminds me of the scene from Man of Steel when Pa Kent is helping people out of the tornado, and Clark (Superman) is just about to step in and save the day, but his dad stops him with a hand gesture as to say "people are not ready for you yet. Your time has not yet come." Its a very messianic message that conveys a sort of foreknowledge-even though he knows he can fix the whole world if He were allowed, he knows that his purpose is specific and should only be used at a certain time. But he waits, allowing for evil to continue in the present, waiting for that specific moment that it could be crushed forever.

Jesus paid in his blood, to wash away our sins. Because he Never sinned. God is way way way beyond human. But he applies in us his love, which All humans have potential too developed. And I do believe, even though Jesus answers to his highest superior which is His Father, that somehow, they are one in the same. Otherwise in the book of Genesis, why would the father said "they are trying to be like US", mentioning the betrayal of Adam and Eve eating fruit from the Tree Of Knowledge. God allows evil....for a time. So when his glory comes to save us, we will clearly see the error of our ways. Peace.

I was an assistant language teacher in Aomori (the prefecture Shingo is in) a few years ago, and the Grave of Christ was one of the favorites we would pull out for new ALTs. There is a book called “the Aquarian gospel of Jesus the Christ”. It tells his life uninterrupted. The first place he went to was India. He did go to Tibet. Also made it to Greece. Regardless of where he went to in that time it’s a very good book to read.

It would have been very *very* worth mentioning the Bhavishya Purana in the India section. The Puranas are a volume of Vedic texts, the Bhavishya Purana being one of those certain and accepted authentic scriptures. The text contains a dialogue between Jesus (called Isha Putra in Sanskrit, "son of God") and the Aryan king at the time. He describes to the king the principles he has accumulated and taught to the adharmic / barbaric peoples. Absolutely worth looking into.

I'd love to see what you can find out about the indigenous populations experience with Jesus. When I lived with the Lakota for about 6 months, one of the sons of Chief Bald Eagle told me about a myth they had of Jesus visiting them during that 18-year gap. I can't remember the full story, but what I do remember is that they spent time together instilling a love and respect of nature. I've heard that there are other tribes that hold similar myths. It would be nice to see if you can get to the bottom of this.

I visited Glastonbury for the first time last year. It was amazing seeing the abbey ruins and the thorn tree. I love the lore of the area and it seems to have powerful spiritual energy, from both the druids and the work Joseph did there. Lots of Christianity and goddess worship entertwined. And not to mention there are some tie ins with the legend of King Arthur too. Culturally rich area!
