Hi Jason, students on a study permit get (1 year study permit + 1 year PGWP work permit, total 2 years to live in Canada) On 1 year study permit the spouse (husband) will get a 1 year open work permit, post study completion the student (wife) will get a 1 year PGWP( work permit). I am a graduate student at the university. My course has started in may 2021. My spouse is going to apply his open work permit visa in this end of the month. My 1 st semester is already completed. I want to know that if it takes more than 7-8 months to get a visa then my study will supposed to complete in August 2022 but my study visa validity is till 31 dec 2023. The question is that for how much time my spouse will get work permit?
what about visa officer requirements that they need like proof of funds 2 years itr 3 to 6 months bank statement and work exprinc and old 6 months funss

Would you be able to say which countries may be eligible for that? I am from Trinidad and Tobago( caribbean) and I am about to apply for my study permit along with my Spouse's WP. Just worry if its the best thing to do or not
Well i was advise to do the study permit first (what i did) and then apply for the spouse. Because if you get deny both of the applications will get deny. And its more money you'll have to provide if together
