Yes I would love to see a part two. I have just found out that I have family history in this town dating back 3 generations. The coffee crop is a big connection for me!! Would love to learn more
Love your videos, I spent several months in Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria cleaning up the ports and marina’s for the USCG. I’m coming back for the my honeymoon and I realize now how much I missed the place!
Love it man! The way you show the videos with so much pride and love for the Puerto Rican 🇵🇷 culture truly makes these videos so entertaining to watch. I’d love to visit Lares some day it looks absolutely breathtaking. My wife’s family is from caguas.. I don’t know if there’s some plazas their to make a video but that would be nice too. But yes another video part 2 of the beautiful Lares!! 🙏
Hi! New subscriber! I visited Lares November 2021. I stumbled upon The Grito de Lares Art Festival, and loved it! Thanks for sharing! What other places to eat are in Lares?
Great job with this video of my family's hometown. Sadly almost all family members have moved away since my mother's passing years ago. I still have fond memories of my youth there. Always try to visit every few years. Would like to see future videos of the Fiestas Patronales in Lares, the weddings, and successful businesses there like the new "Luxury Coffee Bar" near downtown. Very few people know that Lares was supposed to be the capital of Puerto Rico before the Spaniards invaded. Maybe a video showing the celebration of "El Grito" would be cool. The Grito de Lares" is a yearly celebration of the historical event of September 23, 1868, when an armed uprising known as "El Grito de Lares" brought together roughly 1,000 rebels who fought against oppressive Spanish colonial rule.
Two things that jumped out at me were mi querido y estimado Jose Feliciano, y mi querido y estimado Pedro Albizu Campos. Pedro Albizu Campos is kinda like Nikola Tesla to me ---- both AMAZING men who have kinda been forgotten in the history books. When I first found out about Albizu, I was absolutely amazed and saddened at the same time. To me he is the most amazing, brilliant, and patriotic Puerto Rican ever, in the history of Puerto Rico. His life and story is amazing, sad, and impactful. He instantly became my hero, and I assumed most people felt the same way. It totally surprised me how so many people see him as a villain. I've been to Lares, but I didn't digest it the way I should have. I need to prepare more for my visit, and be ready to really explore and appreciate what's there. Videos like this will help me do a better job next time.
Very informative and entertaining video! How about a Part 2 that includes or focuses on the coffee growers and producers that are in Lares and the surrounding area? In past trips to PR we've bought in the supermarkets deeeelicious coffee from Lares and other towns. Would love to see and learn more about the people who produce such a wonderful product whose aroma and flavor are so incredible.
You look like my Grandson! Blessings! I am from Lares and old enough to know the family of Yinyo Barreto, the original owner of the heladería. Cuanto cuesta la noche en el hotel? Yes, I would like to see another video of Lares going up Calle comercio now called --------.
