I just got my Dagda statue today i feel connected to him in many ways I wanna start working with him I've got a Morrigan statue too as well as Green Man and Artemis and Medb.
I have the second edition of "Irish Witchcraft with an Irish Witch", a treasure of a book for me (I can only speak for myself) in search of an authentic connection to Irish Pagan spirituality and practice of witchcraft. Go raibh maith agat agus beannachtaí !
Thank you! I am trying to get to know The Badb and I sat in front of my altar this morning wondering what to say and wishing I had better words for her. This helps! And such good timing!
Irish witchcraft from an Irish Witch second edition just completed😃 wow a fantastic book, really enjoyable full of Irish ☘️ charm! Loved it! More prayers please Lora, thank you so much 💓💓
This an actual belief. Metal does it (mostly) for shock value. Here we don't see at as "Black Magic", we see it as a protection charm. Most metalheads also don't seriously see it as black magic, rather just using it as a gimmick and calling it black magic to shock and piss off Christians and others who see it as black magic for real. At least depending on the band, if you look into Slayer, for example, they mostly use pagan and occult imagery as a gimmick to provoke. Some bands use it as an actual belief too, like we do, mostly pagan metal bands, such as Siranon (also black metal, as well as pagan) who use the goddess symbol with a pentacle for their logo, as well as theme their lyrics about paganism and Celtic mythology, often referring to Morrigan, in songs like The Shadow Queen and The Holy Raven. The metal scene uses these symbols and beliefs for multiple reasons, however most of them generally are atheists or use it as a gimmick (apart from the idiots in the 90s NBM scene, who took it literally and too far and claimed that they were really satanists, set fire to churches and even incorporated some white supremacy into it, but in reality they where posers not real pagans or satanists, and just behaved like jerks). In Pagan and occult religions we take these as actual beliefs and we don't refer to them as black magic, in fact, black magic is a harmful type of magick, and thus can cause serious harm and shouldn't be played with - as the threefold law states, "any energy you put out into the universe will be returned to you three times as powerful", so black magic (spells cast to deliberately hurt people and secrete negative energy) is not cool even here and can end with serious consequences. So your little comment referring to paganism as black magic can be seen as offensive as this is actually a serious belief as opposed to a gimmick. Don't worry though when I first became a pagan, I also had a similar reaction, kind of thinking " holy shit, this is metal AF" and then I realised this more than just a gimmick. Check out some pagan metal bands that use this symbolism not because it's "metal" but because it's their path and their band expresses it.

I just finished the 2nd edition of your book, and am currently letting a good friend borrow it. It’s a damn good book, I’m kinda mad at myself for not finding this earlier! Still, a fantastic book and I’ll definitely be looking forward to more of your books. ❤️
Im having a hard time writing the translation for this in irish from the english version of "all belonging to me" how would this be properly written in Irish as it seems the phrasing must be changed. I'm working with another prayer that says the phrase "this night" and I want to include the all belonging to me part in it as it would very much fit this as its a fire snuffing prayer for Imbolg.
Go raibh míle maith agat, a Lora. I was able to translate the prayer into Gaeilge, and found some interesting nuances of meaning when I did so. And I wanted to post that in a comment here in case someone wanted to see it as well: "Oíche mhaith, a Dhia Maith, treoraigh mé tríd an oíche, a Dhia Maith, treoraigh mé tríd an óiche, agus gach duine--gach rud--atá liomsa, agus má tá aon duine ann a dhéanfadh dochar dom, marbh nó beo, go seolfaidh an Dia Maith a bhean chéile bheannaithe chun mé a chosaint." If anyone has another translation, I'd love to see it as well. Beannachtaí duit!
Thank you for this; I have long felt a powerful relationship with Him. I have heard His name is pronounced more like "dow-tha" or "da-hya" than as it's spelled in English. Care to opine?
Celebrating holidays do ya find yourself running into freemasons, oddfelows and rebekahs. I ask because these groups I try to avoid and just wondering about your exp.
Please do more content about prayers, ritulals, etc. I really appreciate what you do and find the information meaningful. Thanks Lora! ❤

All I have ever asked for from the Dagda is the strength and knowledge to help and protect those that deserve
Great prayer. I'd definitely be interested in more prayers and spells being posted.

Morrigan has called me, how do I start? Thanks a lot
Please do more of the charms, prayers and spells. absolutely loved this! Would it be possible to use this with (The) Queen Medb?
Lovly, including how to think ... what does direct me in this context mean?
"Direct me" may mean "guide me" in this context. That's what I get from it, but others may have more to say on that.
Could you post the full prayer in the comments?

Haigh , hru? so, how do i know which deitie or god, i don't know the proper terms yet, i should worship and work with?
Do you think it would be ok to adjust this prayer to protect your children? My oldest is about to start kindergarten in the US and I'm terrified.
I have great connections with our good God Dagda.
I'm looking to create a shrine for his honor .
Iv no idea where to start , I need your help .
Theres a whole free dagda class available at the Irish Pagan School 🤷♀️

It is pronounced as I say it here, in modern Irish, which I speak. 🤷♀️
I mean, I've never heard an Irish person pronounce it that way, so...
First edition owner. Are ye surprised?...
Finally correct pronunciations.
“...neopagan drivel..” 😅
