A Cycle through Cambridge

“When the lockdown started, I was still in Cambridge. On one of my daily 30 minutes exercise allowances, I decided to make the most of my cycle through the city to take some shots of my favourite places. The ones you see in the video, are the places I would be cycling through every day to reach AMES (The faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies), the places I would always meet my Japanese friends to have a nice chinwag and the places all students usually pass by charged of books, stress, but also smiles and happiness.
I could not anticipate that the day I filmed Cambridge would also be my last day there. The day Miyu, my Japanese friend whom I met every week to laugh and share interesting stories in Japanese, told me that she would go back to Japan. The time I realised there shall no longer be a third term, even if all of our classes moved online (and we are making the most of those too!).
I hope that in this video you can appreciate the beauty of Cambridge and I hope that many of you who are watching this will be the next students to fill the streets of Cambridge whenever the next academic year starts"
