Well the title pretty much says it all...Today we are testing out the product from Dead On Plastix LLC.
They are a Plastisol manufacturer with one goal in mind..bring the best plastisol possible to the market! This stuff is made with the home tackle crafter in mind. It doesn't burn, cooks clear, and feels great! There are several different Plastisols you can buy, and this stuff is dead on!

What is your favorite Plastisol??
Lupa plastisol, its better then the really cheap blends, but still stinks up the workplace.
Pourasol. I don't use a vacuum chamber on it and mine comes out way clearer than yours did. Not as clear as that Dead-On though.
@@austinspringer7114 mine has moisture in it 👎
+World's Worst Fishing oh, well that explains it. I know you buy it in large quantities, but have you tried Pourasol in the 5 gallon combo on LureWorks? It is like a wine box. Bag with a faucet built in.This way the bag is sealed, and only plastic can come out. Humidity and moisture can't get into the plastic since it can only flow in one direction. Great for translucent colors. Only $5 more than a 5 gallon bucket. I used to buy it in the 5 gallon bucket, until it was delivered one time and was leaking. Good thing LureWorks has great customer service and gave me a partial refund for what was lost. The bag/box combo is much more user friendly to me. I turn them upside down for storage when not in use so any hard packing can be loosened much easier. I'd like to try that Finesse worm and worm mix from Dead On, that would be my choices. And I do add a little salt to my trick worm type baits since I fish them weightless most of the time, just the weight of the hook isn't enough for me. I think the salt absorbs and holds scent better too. Great video. Very informative.
Caney Creek crystal clear was my first. I bought it from someone getting out of the business so I got it and all their colors and flakes. I think it’s a little old because it really stinks when heated and turns kind of a reddish color never gets clear. I have since bought some some DoIt essential series and it cooks up clear.
THANKS TO YOU CHRIS,..I have been hooked on Dead on Plastix now and do not see myself going back to my old plastisol anytime soon. I really like watching your videos,..thanks for making them, keep em coming
thanks man..i'll keep them coming, dead on is the best hands down
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
That color should be called "Starry Night". It is the first thing that popped in my mind when i saw it.
That's a good name
Good info! Love the channel keep up the good work. I have learned a lot watching you work. I want to pour some stuff for myself only, just need to buy the stuff to do it. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for all you do!
I hope your company get huge!
thanks so much man!!
ah yeah, the obsession begins! I can't wait to get my hands on my first gallon!
do it up!
Does your fan setup ever have a negative affect on cooling. I.E. Cooling to fast. New to all of this and trying to learn as much as i can. Great vids and info. Definite thumbs up. I grew up in the pensacola area. Navarre if you know the panhandle
It was a good decision to stop having background music in your videos.
Looks like I'm going to have to order some and try it out. Never even thought about using their plastic before.
Heat stabilizer used in bait world most likely calcium /zinc based (Ca/Zn) for PVC. Prevents degradation of PVC at high temps preventing oxidation.
Great review vid! I have looking at Dead On but wasn't sure which blend to go with...thank you Sir
the jerk bait blend is a great all around blend!
Like the show. I'm interested in making crappie jig bodies. What is your regimentation for this.
Very informative video. I love the way you say just new colors. I have learned a lot from you. Thanks buddy
Awesome..thanks for watching the videos
Dead on and lure works I found to work the best for me.
Alcamizer is the heat stabilizing agent used for plastics soft and hard. Keep it up love the content
Told ya that dead on was where it's at👌🔥
The clear colour swimbaits and flukes looks awesome
Thanks..they are definitely different!
@@WorldsWorstFishing i used to fish with a ribbon tail worm thats was similar to that colour, it was clear with super fine blue and silver gliter that was fantastic, caught my first pb on that but cant seem to find it anymore. :(
Awesome video. I learned a ton as newbie. I was advised to use them on a fb group. Your video has given me insight on lot that i was clueless to. Keep up the awesome work. BTW, those colors are basazzz
Tight Lines.
I need to get this product to make my soft beads. Looks great
Which blend would you use for Senkos?
Going to try this color but may add purple to darken the blue without going to black.
Have ever used a triple injector? They seem to turn out some cool colors.
never used one
I use DOP. I really like it, but I dont know where the claim of no bubbles comes from. I have tried everything except a vac chamber which I dont own at the moment, but will be very soon. I just started hand pouring with the AI 5in SB. Beautiful laminates ....until I clear dip the eyes. A really good looking bait turns to so so very quick Looking for ideas. Thanks again for the channel.
Well number one I would never clear dip over the angling AI swimbait, we put a beautiful scaling pattern on there, secondly every time I receive new plastic it is virtually bubbleless, but over the next few weeks moisture will ruin the fun
@@WorldsWorstFishing luckily I only clear dipped 3 baits and yea all the detail was gone....wont do that again. So do you just glue on your eyes and levave them that way?
How do I go about finding an area on the Internet to Buy dead on plastics when I look it up on Google nothing comes up when I look up On eBay still can’t find out how to order it
Good video thinking about getting into making plastics myself someday.
It's incredibly expensive but incredibly fun haha
Great vid !! I’m trying to do some open pour’s of some craws that mimic the Baby Bug from the Guido Bug family. Any suggestions on which Plastix to use ?
Cool video, my boys and I are barely just starting to experiment making our own swimbaits hand pour mold. We only tried lureworks . But looking for the cheaper alternative for experimenting.
Y'all will have a blast together!
Do you find the swim bait comes out of the mold a bit sticky?
could you do a video on using hardner in the plastisol, i have been using the house blend but is very soft?
I never add color to after I cook the plastic to make sure its not scorched at all the fish don't like it turning tan\brown just a tip to be more successful making on baits
Where can you buy dead on plastics and the moles what area do you look at on the Internet
Do you need to use a mold release with it? TYVM for the great video.🐟
Do you have to add hardener? I just bought some of the dead on plastic and poured some and it was like moosh. I heated it up to 350 degrees. Its the craw plastics.
Chris how much is your baits cost I have been trying to get some of your baits
At what point in the process of making the soft plastic lure do you add additives such as scents...??? Thanks for your answers!
Heat stabilizer helps keep the plastic from burning at high temperatures. It also keeps the light colors from fading.
Learning a lot thanks for the info. Keep posting.
It looks like Dead On Plastix is just PolySol plastisol with just Dead On's label on it. That is what I read on Tackle Underground though, so can't hold everything on the Internet to be true. They have very similar characteristics though. I do like the fact that Dead On says "White stay white reheat after reheat!" I do have to use my fair share of heat stabilizer in Pourasol for most of my colors but especially in white. I would try it if Dead On offered it in the 2.5 gallon bag in a box fashion like LureWorks does. 5 gallon buckets are annoying to me and can easily get contaminated.I don't plan on switching even though Dead On's products, prices, and shipping costs are very reasonable.
Lots of info out there where everyone is the expert..who knows what is true or not, kinda like the news. Haha..
Yes its just polysol
You should do gold silver and copper(bronze) flake in various colors and call them the "Olympian" series...
Thanks for all the info you provide in your videos. It’s greatly appreciated. I do wonder how you mix and dispense your plastisol though?
Thank you...hand mix the bucket with a large spoon and dip it out
Do you think using a paint mixer would introduce a lot of air bubbles to the mix?
@@scottcamp961 not if done slowly.. variable speed drill works ..that's how I used to do it in a 55 gal drum.
I’m coming across a good amount of bubbles with my dead on plastic and can’t figure why exactly. It comes out of the microwave with a good amount. Am I overheating?
@@scottcamp961 might be moisture related..it is very very bubble-less normally. Maybe mix slower too. Try and keep the buckets/jugs sealed always unless actively using it. Moisture in the air is your biggest enemy always.
Smells clean
Enjoying your videos, especially this one. I’m wondering if you’ve made any of your own molds using alumalite, and if so, how did they work out for you.
thanks Dan, I have not tried making my own molds yet.
Hey guys I am just getting started, I have never made soft plastics before. I am trying to figure out which plastisol I will need. I plan on getting dead on plastisol, but which style or what mix would be best to start off with? I will only be making crappie baits like the Bobby garland baby shad (2" shad body stinger tail) and ice fishing plastics (1 3/8 ball and tail, wax wiggler, bream bug, slab assassin) I just want to make sure I have the correct stuff and know what ratio to try if need be. What types and ratios would you suggest I start with for plastisol?
I really appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks
I guess this is a difficult question, but is there any brand of plastisol with the same "qualities" that sells in europe?? Starting this hobby around here seems complicated... I can´t find any official plastisol distributors for lure makers...
I’m looking forward to start making mini jigs I may buy the 262 medium/hard just to make mini jigs different colors and that it if someone can help me out a lil on which plastisol to get !!!!
I’m making minijigs as well I’m planning to use the swimbait/jerkbait blend I perfer tail action than durability a bit
@@fishermankev just don’t know wat plastisol to use !!!
Enjoyed every minute brother. Just subscribed.
YES CLEAR BAITS JUST LIKE I ASKED
I love the color, Copper Sensation!
Hey Chris, another great video. I'm just getting started and ordered my first materials. Any issues that you can think of with using Dead On plastisol but colorant from another manufacturer? Shouldn't matter, right?
Hello..yes that is no problem. You can interchange any Colorants with any Plastisol.
Is it the black label or white label plastics
Great show a lot of great information thank you
If u could infuse garlic in those new beaver style baits that would be fire love that new blue color... and those flukes.. man.. those are awesome looking in that color! Also if u could do the new beaver style in watermelon with chartreuse tips on the tail... damn man that would be awesome
Oh yeah can do garlic beavers haha
That beaver type mold where did you get it at? I want a really good beaver mold and that one looks amazing. Love the vids!🤙🏽
Or your grass grenade mold
I love your content. Thanks keep up the great work.
thanks Cole
My question is do you really save money doing this after buying just the plastic that's about 6-7 bags of worms plus the moldes and color and heat stabilizer and everything else you need
at first nope...takes probably a few years to break even
So I'm new to makeing my own lures and was wondering if you had any tips on reducing air bubbles? I've tried hotter colder shooting fast shooting slow and I seem to still get a bunch of air bubbles. I've used both reused lures and new lureworks medium porisol.
It's most likely moisture..also don't stir too violently. I don't know how to remove moisture other than a vaccum chamber.. if you have experiment addicted with heating it slower and or hotter versus cold then I'm not really sure what the best advice is
what molds are they
I know I could buy the softer stuff but could you just add softener to the medium stuff like other plastics? Going to buy a 5 gal of it
Yes you can buy the medium blend and add softener.
Can I use a 3 gallon vacuum chamber and put 2 2 cups in it thanks Tom
im not sure..ive never used the 3 gallon size
If want to create some lures with Dead On Plastix Plastisol, but I don't want a very stiff bait, would it be okay to use the jerk bait or or another variety of the Plastisol, or does it have to be the Saltwater Plastisol? Will the others not hold well in saltwater? (Saltwater plastics is my goal)
Use either saltwater or craw/tube blend...I think those are your best bet.
@@WorldsWorstFishing Thank you!! I have been learning a great deal from your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
I wonder if there is much color bleed in a clear and color laminate?
Only if it's red Colorants
Looking at making my own soft plastics. Which molds would you say would be the "starter kit." Any advice would be great.
Well I don't know of any actual starter kit.. basically pick out a mold that you like and grab some Plastisol and a few colors and jump in.
@@WorldsWorstFishing ok thanks, I have pretty much watched all your soft bait making videos. The last couple days
@@harleydavidsonsrider awesome! Glad to have you as a viewer!
What about flavors, garlic, coffee, banana, pizza?
Another great informative video, you are really spoiled for choice in America, here in South Africa you have one make of plastisol so you use it or buy ready made plastics.
Well I would imagine shipping heavy liquid internationally is probably very expensive, so most plastisol sellers probably don't want to ship internationally.
Who makes that ribbon tail mold?
MF, Deadon or Lure Works plastisol? which one is best?
I know this has probably been asked before but where can your baits be purchased?
Email me at worldsworstfishing@gmail.com
I like that new Plastisol
Does that plastic float or sink?
It's the glitter a special glitter or is it just run of the mill glitter? I've seen a few companies that sell the plastisol but not the glitter.
yes, you buy heat resistant polyester glitter.
I wish dead on plastic offered the finesse plastic in 5 gallon bucket all I could get was worm plastic its tuff when it sets up I mean for as wanting baits to last they great but I make my own so I can fish with real soft plastics don't matter If I change baits every fish
I got to get me some more softner I no I not sure if I using softer or harder cause I been had it so many years the label came off an it looks the same lol I just bought real soft plastic im going to order some new softner is there a difference which one is better than the other?
They are restocking all of their blends and sizes on the 28th..they will have 5 gallons of the finesse for sale after that.
@@WorldsWorstFishing I am curious to know how much is the shipping on 5 gallons
somewhere around $17 I think
@@WorldsWorstFishing I paid like $47 for shipping =(
lure works scorch do it mold plastic it scorches that the yellowing in it I think of this as burnt so do you think the bass want a burnt bait taste
I don't think the bass want the taste of any Plastisol..I think they just instinctively bite based on shape..this is where scent is really important.
I cant smell but my girl can she says they smell like paint
yep you are right I been thinking about that I think I need to find a smell no one else has I think that why bass hard to catch on pressure water they smell the bait
I done the same thing with crankbait I watch the bass swim right up to it follow it want hit it pro say change the color I just add scent an they bust it
You should show the baits more in the sun light, it shows the baits better (or a table light)... just a suggestion. I'm on the website now :) I liked the worms in the first section. How would I contact you to buy say a 100.00 dollars worth but I would like to have a set of each with a custom color (they would all be the same) with a friend of mines name as a color on them(he is a true mentor and and comes and gets me every time he's in town, so I would like to show my gratitude to him and have your name on his bag. Is that possible? I wouldn't make it to tough for ya :)
Yeah lighting is always tough with baits..just email me at worldsworstfishing@gmail.com for the baits.
Question Do You Mind Telling Me The Name of That Mold Injected and Were You Go It Thanks For The Video
Several molds in the video..I have stuff from basstackle, angling ai and BTS..check those out.
Im Sorry I Meant Mold Injector Thanks

Hello Mr.

Hallo aus Florida! ich bekomme meine farben hauptsachlich von lureworks
where do you get your plastic resealable bags made ?
Had them made in China
How dose this stuff hold up In saltwater. Anyone got info on that.
They actually have a saltwater blend that I played with and it is really tough stuff, I think it would do really well.
Call that color blue moon!!!
and stereo is on left channel only
Old camera
I thought all the colors look great, but how does it laminate?
Have not used any of it yet laminating, I'm pretty much out of it already haha
Dead On looks like Gin and Vodka.
Pourasol looks like... a messed up White Russian.
Lol.
What temp do you shoot the worm formula at?
I like to shoot around 330 mostly
Where did you get that packaging made?
a bag manufacturer in hong kong.
how are the baits now in the bag after 3 months
Like most Plastisols they feel the same as they did after curing and look the same.
Where did you order those bait bags? They look sharp!
Had to get them from China
Gotta get thousands at a time..huge investment
had them manufactured in hong kong..big pain in the a$$ haha
Love your vids!
thank you.. tight lines man
Blue copper flash, add black to bottom then u have blue copper shad
You should make a clear bait with no glitter!!
I love the content, but try to limit all the perpetual: and ahhh.....and ahhhh....and ahhhh...and ahhhh...and ahhhh....and ahhh....and ahhhs and you're golden.
Whats the best brand for molds

About how many of your flukes can you make from a gallon of plastic
About 380 or so if it's a solid color

Where do you get your molds?
MANY places...check out my guide video for molds and links
Only plastic I'll buy
He stabilizer helps with the quality the stretch Easy durability and performance
What is the best price for molds
Depends on the intricacy of the bait and number of cavities

Does this plastic float?
yes, all plastisol floats to a degree.
Actually not all plasticol floats......most are neutral buoyant.......if you want good plastic that floats and is Phthalate free (poison) try MF floating plastic
Have you ever tried do-it Crystal Clear Plastisol?
I have not actually...
