    Here's a tip: you can actually set your Z axis to be the vertical axis. Click your user > Preferences > General > Default Modeling Orientation
    This is useful if you want to keep the model in the correct orientation. I use this for 3D printing all the time

      Thats how it was forever and it changed on me. Ive since changed it back with the z axis up like your saying. Thanks for the pointer!

    I'm a high school small engine teacher. I bought a Crossfire for personal use and ended up bringing it in to my class to help with building student projects. I also run 3D printers, laser engravers, CNC lathes and mills. What machine and projects I'm working on varies from day to day so it can be hard to remember how setup each machine file every single time. When I want to cut on the Crossfire this is my go-to video. Thank you for making this video it saves me time and stress.

    Langmuir should just give you some good 2D LayoutSoftware, there is no 3D when working with plate steel. Why muddy the waters? There's no Router attachment for Langmuir. What you really need is some good vectorization software where you just feed the raster (raw) image into it and out comes the Vector file. No stupid overlays or tracing. After it's vectorized you could then scale it up or down.

    • @SpicerDesignsLLC
      @SpicerDesignsLLC  8 місяців тому +3

      They dont have any software for theyre table except firecontrol which communicates with the table. I use some of the 3d features for my multi layer signs and turning the designs into a body for creating the cut path. Theres also a unfold tool for adding brakes in the steel too. I know a lot of people use sheetcam

Especially the time when the mechanics brought a piece that needed welding after they cleaned the grease off with brake cleaner. I have a 24x30 ft roof with 1 wall being my brick home. If I place a tarp over it do you think it will be safe to store outside. I live in South Texas so not much humidity compared to other states but that's holding me back.

      I use it regularly...it's a game changer if you have a press brake and plasma table. Basically start with flat piece of your bracket, extrude to sheet metal thickness then go to sheet metal tab and convert body to sheet metal object. Once you've done that you can click edges and create flanges. Then you can create flat pattern which will allow you to generate a DXF to export for the plasma cutter.
