Bruce made his best albums in the mid 70s to early 80s. He’s had a great renaissance since the reunion tour (1999) with some solid albums (and great albums, in the case of The Rising) and several phenomenal tours. But this, this right here, this show…this is when Bruce’s VOICE was at its best
They released an official download of these shows and they're stunning if you haven't heard them! Remastered soundboard audio and the sound quality is superb.
Strongest vocal I've heard from Bruce. Harmonizes up the scale instead of down. :) And it's a pretty high-pitched song, vocally, for his range to begin with. Thx for the upload.
@johnnygonzales WOW!!! I have had the audio of this for ages and have never seen the actual video. Always tried to figure out when this was recorded, always thought around early 90's, seems I was right! I actually prefer this more to the original, fucking amazing.
it probably just felt right at the time. bruce said he actually doesn't know exactly what a "freeze out" means, it just sounded right. so just feeling it out is sorta how this song got made.
Get real..get a life...Springsteen is a great and talented musician.....He is NOT a God....Stop your idol worship of a mere mortal man, regardless of his extraordinary talents.
Wow. Fantastic. Bruce's voice was still in peak condition back then.

Tear drops on the city, Bad Scooter searching for his groove…..
Love this piano version by The Boss
His vocal performances at Christic were probably among his best ever. He's perfect on every song. Check out Real World from this concert as well.
Seen him back in 85’ seeing this takes me back to that day.
AMAZING!!! Never heard his range so high and CLEAR before, emphasizing that blues & soul in his voice! Truly a music god

This era wasn’t Bruce’s best music, but it was his best vocal era
Excellent version Bruce !
Holy shit, I always thought Springsteen was at his best vocally in 1985. Holy crap.
