In the early part of this video, you mentioned "The pipes between your home and the treatment plant could be backed up or broken." For my family, this is a reason to have a dry toilet for emergency use. During a major typhoon in SE Asia and especially if some of the large dams have to do a water release to lower pressure, there could be flooding on the streets. There is literally no place for the effluent to go. The small septic tank systems discharge into the public drains located under the sidewalks. They do not function well if there is street flooding. You found a great unit that will help many folks. The caveat for us would be, that we would have to own many additional bottom tanks or have a storage barrel to store the black water until the flooding recedes and we are again able to flush the stored effluent. One secret to our system is not allowing urine to enter the"pot." That creates a lot of odor. The solids are easy to deal with if the moisture is kept to a minimum. We are also experimenting with the use of coagulant powers. The Japanese have an array of dry toilets where you sprinkle a coagulant powder that includes a dash of deodorant over your "business" and it will soon coagulate into a jelly-like mass. A little research online and you will learn where to purchase coagulants in bulk the way a treatment plant does.
In California they outlawed *Aqua-Chem,* now since I live full time in a RV I think I have some knowledge on this topic. If you want a product that works, thats the one, its thick and if you stand over it and breath before you have diluted it your eyes will start to water. But it was the ABSOLUTE BEST, when it came to oder control and breakdown. It was made ileagal under proposition 65, because it contained Formaldehyde, if yours doesn't it will stink in the summer, wish I had stocked up on a few dozen cases. PS. Everything you can get now is basically perfume water and doesn't work for S*it, pun intended 😊
I bought a used bedside toilet that i can line with small biodegradable trash bags and litter. An incinolet would be my next choice because it turns all wsste to ash but it eats a ton of electricity.
We have an older portable toilet like this that was mostly used for camping and it works great especially when I had 2 young daughters !! We had a separate small tent for the bathroom. These are far better than a 5 gallon bucket with a pool noodle seat. Now check out UA-cam for a video about composting humanure.
There are many things I wouldnt want to be dealing with during shtf, but this has always been one of those things in the back of my mind I really dont want to deal with if shtf,
Ummm I don’t know… there’s pop that just won’t go down the opening, just saying. I rather use a bucket with a toilet seat and bag with wood shavings. But that’s just me 🤷♂️
How many stages should a water filter have for an urban dweller? Some, I fear, have ONLY a sawyer or life straw or even just a Berkey. Jim Phillips at Jim's way and on a Provident Prepper video says we should have a nine (9) stage water filter. ua-cam.com/video/dDBNndG7TCo/v-deo.html What do you suggest?

Always had 1 in my van when I traveled. Didn't like having to use public restrooms.

I don't poop..and when I do, my poop doesn't stink.
Yea, right, emperor.
Yep, you're right,
this subject isn't covered enough.
No pun intended.
Where can you dump the waste if you are traveling? Or out in an emergence situation?
Very similar to a RV cassette toilet.
I’m glad I have 5 acres.

Can I put a bag for the depositions instead using water? Is this possible?
Will toilet paper come out of that pipe?
Put everyone's name in a hat and draw for who gets to clean it.
It's so easy, you could probably do it.
😊
@@scdhl4 Could you show me how?
@@rumpNrhino no problem..
Good review , thanks for sharing YAH bless !

I need 3. One for my wife and 2 for my daughters so I can use the real bathroom more often‼️🤪
