Very useful tip
It sure is
It works like a charm. I laminated my study permit, and that meant it was no longer valid. It would have been hectic to re-apply for a new one. This video really saved me time. Thanks Robbie🙂
You are very welcome. I'm glad it helped
Does the temperature have to be hot? in order to open
Thank you so much for this video, dear Robbie!
I have this important document of mine that I similarly had the idea to laminate to keep it protected from any potential damage. A few hours post-lamination, I got a text message saying that I had to get it signed. Assuming that it's just sealed from around, I try peeling the plastic off; aaaand it ripped. I went straight ahead to UA-cam and found this amazing video. Your humor makes it even better! Once again, thank you very much, Robbie! You truly ARE a genius!
This method really works. I see this video remove by heating drying and 1 hour attention make jt successful
surprisingly funny and entertaining video, especially when im already stressed with laminatiing something important to me thinking i've ruined it....awesome educational video!! thanks!!!
You really saved me man. Thanks for sharing. This worked like a charm.
It’s pretty stupid that a lot of places won’t take laminated documents
Yeah, I say the same thing
I totally agree with you. It's just to prevent it from getting messed up.
I laminated everything now i have to be trying to remove it because of Jamaica’s stupidity of a country smh. 🙄this video was helpful thank you
They say you can't feel the seal once laninated. I can totally feel the seal on laminated doc. Now I'm going to try your way to remove my doc
😂 same for me because they don't accept saying they can't feel the seal. Bunch of bs
Really it’s worked with heating I have tried and do it successfully👍 thanks so much dear for making this video 🙏
It worked SO GOOD!!!!! Mine peeled back very quick and I just used a hairdryer, my leg to hold the letter down and peeled back easy!!!!
Рақмет, бауырым! Сіздің көмегіңіз көп тиді❤
Cheers mate! saved a very important piece of artwork
heating really makes a difference. I tried to open it without heating and the print came out with the plastic. Later when I started to heat up the document, the plastic sheet came out easily without damaging the document.
That's wonderful. I am glad you got it separated. Good job my friend
How comes it hasn't worked for me both with a pressing iron and a hairdryer?
Thank you very much for this vidio just saved me a lot of time and money.
Thank you so much for this video. It was very helpful and I was able to successfully remove the laminate
Awesome... I'm so happy to hear
Thanks i will try it. I was.so worried about my laminated documents
Made a mistake and laminated a document and this video was sooo / helpful. THAN YOU !

I didn't know that original documents are not laminated 😭...I pray it works for me 🙏🏾
Please tell me did you get it to work?
Supeeeerrr a mers am reușit mulțumesc frumos
Saving lives out here
I was smart like you. So I am going to attempt it now. Wish me luck
How did it go? Did it work for you too?
Worked for me thank you
Thank you 🙏🏽
Рақмет, бауырым!
Thank you so much.
Thank you for this technique
You are very welcome
Thank you so much, this video is so useful
You are very welcome. I am glad it help. all the best
Thank you is working 🎉
Hi, please help. I delaminated mine successfully without any damage but it's left a rough texture behind almost like a clear glue on the paper.
Any complication with the use of hair dryer?
Thanks sir its saved my document ☺️
I am so happy to hear. Thanks for sharing and I am happy it helped. All the best
Omg thanks alot❤
But very useful information thanks 👍
I am so happy to hear. Thanks for sharing and I am happy it helped. All the best
Will this really work for me because behind my certificate there is a bar code they want to scan but unfortunately it wouldn't scan because it is laminated so they advised me to get another certificate which is hectic.will I manage to delaminate my certificate and not damage the barcodes?
This only works with very thin laminate sheeting, not the thicker grades of laminate sleeves.
If there is written by pen on paper what will happen will that be rubbed or not
I need this to work because the funeral director laminated my great-grandfathers Martin Baker Tie Club authentication card and we need it out
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
you're so welcome
Thanks so much I used needle also
That's awesome. I am glad it helped and thanks for telling me about the needle. All the best my friend
Some laminations are very thick could not remove without the documents removed easily. I don't know what to do
Time to try it because the office that gave me the laminated document now doesn't accept it back for passport renewal
Thank you ❤️
You are very welcome 😊
I needed this video.
I'm happy to help
Yea hopefully this works for me i was a idiot and decided to laminate my social security card. Its over 25 years old now so i wanted to protect it to keep it from ripping or tearing any further. I didnt research if it would still be valid or not and turns out its not valid of its laminated.
Thanks for these sir! But what temperature is needed if am to use pressing iron?
12 degree Kelvin @ 300 meters above sea level works great, sprinkle with a dash of sea salt for crispness of document
I laminate my cxc certificate😢 and they say its not official 😥
Hey BC guy, AB guy here. Wife made the same mistake as you by laminating the birth certificate of our first born. We now need to get passports and naturally they don't accept it. Just called the registry office, it's 40 bux for a replacement. Wanted to try and remove the laminate using your technique but she won't let me, says that the sensitive paper onto which the certificate is printed will get damaged and they will reject our application and it'll cost more at the end. She may be right, this document has all sorts of transparencies and complex print. It's like looking at a 50 dollar bill.
Even after we pay $40 for a replacement I still plan to try and remove the laminate, just so I can tell her Robbie Genius told you so and how she threw out 40 big ones.
Hi mate, I have an old poster from the seventies that was laminated in the 80's - is this likely to still work the same way? I can see someone started to remove the laminate, but it started pulling paper as well - so they stopped, which is good. I just want to know if it is possible that being so old, would it make any difference or work the same? Thanks for any advice.
My friend, if the laminate is done by plastic, this method should work just the same. The secret is applying the right amount of heat and following the lead of the separation... if it is separating, keep going, if not, maybe apply a little more heat or start from another location and work towards that spot. Let me know what works... thanks my friend and good luck
I am so stressed too because I have done the same mistake as result my son couldn’t do his drivers test today 😢
Can you do this to photos laminated on wooden frames ?
mhhhh... I'm not sure... did you give it a try? Has anything worked for you? I'd love to know
I am trying to delaminate my old trading cards and when I do the corners are separating, it seems very delicate. And when I apply heat it doesn’t seem to make the laminate less adhesive, but weaker, damaging the piece. Any ideas that might help?
My friend, it is like doing surgery... you will need a sharp thin blade and another tool. One to hold down the document and the blade to work your way between the plastic and the document, while you constantly passing heat over it. It is doable, but go as slowly as possible and make your you have the tools. the tweezer worked well for me... but let me know if this helps and what works for you. Thanks for asking.
Gonna try it
Please tell me did it work for you?
nope..it didn't work..I had to apply for the documeny all over
Bro thanks a ton!
Now I just have to try this with some very expensive Pokemon cards that have been laminated for 19 years because I was a very very stupid child and no one stopped me from making poor life decisions. @-
Hey, don't be so hard on your self. Thinking about it, what you did might have saved them for 19 years. now you can enjoy them like new... keep learning and growing and all the best.
Did you save the cards ?
@@ItsThatGuyTedI did not. 😂 Unfortunately 19 years seems to have been too much. It didn't work. Lol
I tried but my college certificate damaged while heating it got light up and wasted my original certificate and now apply for duplicate waste of time and big process to get duplicate
Does it leave any type of sticky residue on the document?
No, it doesn't.
@@RobbieGeniusMind thank you so much. I purchased some vintage Rock Posters and they were all laminated. I'm going to try this idea and practice on the ones I don't want.
I need help I tried but can't remove mine😢 can you help me?
Do you have all the tools and someone to help you? it's like doing surgery... going very slow and applying the right amount of heat. Please let me know how it turns out for you
I literally laminated my exam hall ticket and panicked but after watching this I've got relief 😊 thankss
What a relief. I am glad you were able to remove your laminate. Thanks for your feedback and good luck
Aapka achhe se nikal gya n.... Mene bhi 10th la Holtiket laminate karaaya........ Can i try this.... Koi damage nhi hoga n????
I can't hear
This happened to me now but this don’t seems to work
But do you follow the steps closely? You have to apply the right amount of heat, go slowly and make sure to have someone to heat it up while you separate, as it cools down very fast
I think is ridiculous how people can't laminate their important documents, after all we don't want to ruin them...
I agree. Now I have to delaminate. The chances of ruining it is even worse
Do you know how to use chemicals?
I think that would do more damage... right? What works for you?
I’m so stress out because I’ve laminated my daughter’s landing certificate and I wasn’t aware that documents aren’t meant to be laminated smh
I know what you mean... I was in the same boat. Luckily, I was able to get the laminate off. Did you get yours separated? How did it go?
I need to do this to my birth certificate because my dad laminated my certificate and I need to undo it to get my legal driver license. I will try it see if it works!
I need to do this too but in my social security card because my mom laminated… tomorrow will be a busy day
Good luck with your SSN. I have to delaminate my citizenship paper. I saw SS office rejected someone with laminated SSN card....
@@eMDiKhamPha thank you, I did around a month ago and whole was great
Can you help me remove lamination on a document
Lol I know right? Wish someone who was able to do this open a business to help others delaminate doc
Oooohh...i finally find this videeo in high quaility but you dont show the entire video. Why did you cut the best part?
I had a valuable document that was laminated. I delaminated it successfully per this video. But when I took it to the Antiques Road Show, the curator said the original laminated document had an estimated value of +/- US$172,000.00. But that because I removed the laminate, it was now only worth +/- US$75.00. :-((((
Oh no... sorry to hear. By the way, are you thinking of re-laminating it?
Lol very brilliant i mean it was the best idea i ever had. Lol help us father Yahweh. The things we do.
I hear you, my friend. Same here... I mean I laminated every important document that I have... but I had to undo them... I tell you, the things we do
How can I get reach of you

I pray this work because this seems stressful
I know what you mean... did it work for you?

Hey, my friend. I am in BC, Canada. I would love to help you. Where are you? I have a few people mail theirs to me... would that work for you too?
@@RobbieGeniusMind hi,do you still help in delamination?
