Exactly... I hate that Rockstar didnt even try when this is all we needed, maybe pushed a tiny bit on some assets like ped models and weapons to match GTA IV detail level, and that's it. GTA IV gameplay is just so much better than GTA 5 and older GTA games and it would elevate everything. Classic versions would also have more of distinction and separation from such soft remake and can coexist on the store offering totally different experience, but no... :/

This has to be the best game port I've ever seen in my life. It's almost 100% accurate, well beyond what most other modders will do. Even the minor details, sound effects, voice acting, and ragdoll physics for Tommy Vercetti were perfect. I'm absolutely blown away.

A couple of things to keep in consideration. We will probably never know the real reason why the studio responsible of the Definitive Edition decided to use UE4 instead of brand Rockstar Games RAGE. But the real difference of this mod with DE is that the mod is actually a full rework of the game but over GTA IV meanwhile the DE is a port into a new engine (which that's the main reason of the bugs presented in it).
I played the original game on PS2 back when it came out. and the weird part is, i cant remember any thing from the gameplay nor story. I remember a nightclub and a film studio.

Agreed, without the lighting and fog, the games looks like a cartoon and not at all how I remember vice City looking and feeling. If they could work on the atmosphere a little more, this would be perfect.
we need a video that runs through all these GTA to GTA TC mods, theres heaps and its hard to know whats what at this point, theres even talk of multiple Liberty City Episodes conversions, one over Vice City and i don't even know what the claim is for the other one, same with ReVc, one is over San An and people say there is a better one.
