When I visited Wat Pah Nanachat almost 20 years ago I left in disgust after watching 3 or 4 monks poking a burning dead female body with sticks and laughing in front of a small group of dismayed villagers. There is NO excuse for this behaviour. Would the Buddha have done this? Would the momks have done this to their own dead mothers/fathers? I complained and was ignored by senior monks. I still practise Buddhism but even after all this time I have nothing but contempt for the arrogant thugs who paraded as monks at Wat Pah Nanachat.
@@donleavy672 i dont know what u said is true or not about stick the dead body.. But if this informartion is True, this is just Ritual.. Because dead Body is just a dead body.. For Burning Body, Buddha himself never reject burning a dead vody or by grave. It is not important.. Dead body is just a dead body.. And we should realize that one day we will have the same condition, so before we die, we must do a good deed for ourselves. Dont waste our time to have hatred, anger and wrong view. This is the most important.
@@donleavy672 Did you know that in Tibet, when somebody dies, his/her body is given to the birds to eat? I get what you are saying, and I totally agree with you; the monks should show some respect, even though the body is not Self. ✌️
