@Gameboy224 WTF dude i wiped out papier jam without looking at my 3ds THIS WAS THE EASIEST OF THE BUNCH, i was 12 to 9 levels under the final bowser and paper Bowser battle and died only once
@Gameboy224 i wanna say no u because I NEVER BEAT the ex bosses or the bosses in the first place easely and i never beat the final ex boss rush in the original bowser's inside story, and YES Paper jam is by far the easiest and the most uninspired game with predictable patterns for every boss the only creative one being the final bowser battle and as i said i was 9 or 12 levels under for luigi and 7 or 9 for mario and still beat the final boss in mere attempts otherwise i needed to regulary grind in bowser's inside story to not get 3 or 4 shot al of a sudden
@@MAJJASTAK I don't know what you're trying to say but just think of this.. in bowsers inside story, any boss can be killed within 3 moves.. I'd say the ex bosses are the easiest because you can beat them in 1 turn.. this is definitely not the case in paper jam. So that means paper jam is harder right? Oof, something did not come out right for Bowser during the shift to 3D. His animations are so stiff and lifeless by comparison to the older sprites. Some parts are kinda interesting, like the addition of a whistle in the Bomb-omb rush, and I really appreciate how only one of the blitties cry out during Broggy's attack, but a lot of other ones are so weird now. I like the added effects though.
I don't think so. For a child, Xhampis are scary af. Remember the last boss of the game ? Almost cried when I saw it. And the storyline is also the darkest of the saga. Look like the remakes are more softs than the originals. But I can't imagine a «soft» Partner in time.
So much moments are not that nice for childs. The kingdom destroyed, peoples killed, at the start of the game. The draw you get from the toad who's followed peach in the past. Peach eated by a plant in the coliseum. The giga yoshi which eats every other yoshi. And I've more like it. This game was the darkest mario game I ever played. I don't think young childs would enjoy it.
@@saggitaireauger9154 ...So what if it had dark moments? I don't think any of that should affect whether they'll remake it or not. If they want to do it, they'll do it.

I remember that back then the special attacks were something that you could use not only to deal lots of damage but also to see how quick you could react, and the more complex and quicker they were, the more advantage you could get from that
The old ones are so much more charming and imaginative, while the new animations all look very stiff. Look at the magic window attack and tell me it doesn't look a hundred times more awesome in the first game. I think the main difference here is that the first artist took a lot of liberty with the sprites, while the second wanted them to look very "vanilla". What a shame.

Man, I think they did a great job. And honestly, people just complain too much. If you prefer the original, play the original. There are plenty of options for everyone.
Crazy that this was released a year ago and in that time poor Alpha Dream went bankrupt. I really do hope somehow Nintendo will still make more of these M&L RPGs, but on Switch of course and man seeing all these comments again even a year later still makes me sad to see that essentially everyone hated this remake. Poor Alpha Dream and Nintendo I'm prolly the only person here who actually is enjoying the game. :(
i will say its good to see this game remade for 3ds, but i would still say go play the ds version... the art is more apealing, skills looks more better, game has more personality and such. also... NO BLOWING TO MIC ON BOWSERS FLAME ATTACK ON 3DS VERSION.... top that off , come back to me
I can already see the differences, in the original doing the attacks it's difficult but they really do a big amount of damage meanwhile in the remake they're kinda more easy to do but unlike in the original, they do a small amount of damage (specially the Goomba Storm.) Also, some of the Bowser's Brawl Attacks animations changed in a better way than the original, like Bob-omb Blitz, Bowser used only his arms to command his Bomb-Ombs, now he uses a whistler too, in Magikoopa Mob, he used his hands to create fire balls (like Mario with the Fire Flower power up) and then give them to his Magikoopas to attack the enemy, now instead of creating the fire balls from his hands, he use his moth to flamethower to pass the fire to the Magikoopas, I found this one a way better because it's much more logical than the original, and Broggy Bonker, this one doesn't really has a major change, but in the remake Bowser toss a soap to clean Broggy, something that doesn't passed in the original game, this is a small and a lovely detail.
Well, for the magi Koopa mob one, it’s actually way worst. Bowser is a spell caster, he doesn’t use a fire flower and him breathing fire on his minions instead of making fire on their wands with his magic is was more illogical.
Copy Flower: Boy do u look stupid Nerfed Magic Window: Its not my fault! Besides, its not like there is a better infinite bros attack in your game! Copy Flowers: Are sure about that? Trampoline, Pocket Chomps, and Red shells: Hi! were to apply to take your spot in the bros attacks. Nerfed Magic Window: Son of a bi- Like if u think this is funny
Im glad a lot of comments noticed this but Bowser is not nearly as well animated as he was in the original. I think its the way they drew his head, it doesn't emote nearly as much. (Compare when Bowser gets and Excellent hit in both games). Also, his whole body is facing more to the right in the remake, so you see less of his features.
I think both versions have their own upsides and downfalls. In the original it was quicker and initially satisfying but it felt repetitive after a while and never really felt like it gave much if you messed it up just a tiny bit. In the remake it feels slower and less energetic but the way both the special move is made even more unique and the reaction of the characters even more emotional just evens it out imo. Also Bob-omb Blitz and Mighty Meteor were and still are terrible moves.
I live for the animations of the characters celebrating their attack when you land an excellent. Really makes you feel proud and that "heck yeah!!!" feeling
Because they're more spread out. It would be impossible to get near to all of them if they were faster. You could tell in the video that the player was struggling to get them all even if it LOOKS slower
I think what makes these special moves sick is the fact that you have music that feels like the characters are fighting for their lives and then see Bowser casually washing his dog in front of the enemy.
Justin Richard DX I think my favorite improvement is Yoo Hoo cannon. Once I realized that only the starting point was random in the original, that attack became cake. Having it be truly random really tests your memorization skills and I really like that. Everything else... eh.
@@misskobeyoshi2500 I'm afraid you're right. The remake is good buy it could've been way, way better. The "only" things that are really improved are graphic, scenary and "In The Final"
@@misskobeyoshi2500 I disagree completely. I loved the original but come on. There was so much more to enjoy, the original felt so clunky and unresponsive at times especially during giant battles and touchscreen minigames, even the mic was unresponsive at times. Bros attacks were way too op, most bosses in the game was a joke besides Dark Bowser and the Boss Arena. The remake fixed alot of things in my opinion and the bosses were alot more challenging. I didn't like how Magic Window was infinite because you could cheese bosses that way. Maybe it's just me but I prefer the remake, they even included a music box where you can listen to both the original soundtrack and the new one. I feel people try to hard to find something to hate about remakes. People always ask for remakes then complain when they happen and change things. Change is not always a bad thing. Another cool thing they did was have Bowser fully heal when he gets rage in the fight against him. In the original I breezed through most bosses no problem but in this one they nearly kicked me to the curb and it was great. I want to see bosses that can nearly kick my ass not sit there and be special attack punching bags.

And when I actually did, I was literally screaming “YOOOOOOOOO-“ before my mom came in and took the DS cause I was screaming like a maniac. Lol.
The original is unbeatable. The music sounds better due to the crunch of the nintendo ds’s soundfont, the pixelart is iconic and the original didn’t hold your hand as much.
The remake was definitely so much fun and I had a blast with it but watching clips of the original it really shows how small differences in sound effects and speed make all the difference. It has a completely different feel to it
I wish there was an update to increase the difficulty of the special attacks to the original game’s, but they are in some way have better damage. Also, I have never seen anyone get 4 clustered stars in Falling Star in the original game. I managed to get 4 in the original, and I think 8 in the remake. My brother claimed he got 5 in the original and he says there’s a perfect speed to do it. He says there is a rhythm to follow, and if you do it perfectly, you should run out of the little stars right when you get the 5th clustered star.
A year late but yea, thats believable, fire flower has a rhythm, i discovered this while on emulator, where when i mashed as fast as i could, they would sorta stutter, but when i went a certain pace i got the excellent, either that or my controller is bugged.
Miss Kobe Yoshi On the original Nintendo 3DS systems, yes. On the New Nintendo 3DS systems, there is no lag, thanks to its more powerful CPU. Another example of a video game that is made for all Nintendo 3DS systems but performs best on the New Nintendo 3DS.
Please, theres gotta be someone else who DESPISES this remake, because of how much it changes from the original? Like, I get they tried to "improve" the art style, I can't help but miss the beautiful pixel art from the classic. And don't get me started on the special attack nurfs! My biggest gripe is the music. What was the point of washing out all of the loud, and catchy instruments?! Like, the bass is basically UN-HEARD OF, and the feeling is gone! Not sure if I'll be buying this...
Fun facts about the Bros Attacks in the remake: 1. You can no longer use Spin Pipe on spiked enemies 2. Fire Flower now heals Calorites 3. Coalbits however now take damage from Fire Flower instead of being immune like the original 4. In the original you can delay the Super Bouncer attack by not pressing A and the ball will keep bouncing on Mario’s head; in the remake if you don’t press A the ball will bounce it off and the attack will fail

My personal favorite special move for the bros has always been magic window just due to the fact that it could go on forever if you had fast enough reflexes (Snack basket is a VERY close second though). Bowser is a little trickier becuase throughout the entire game I could and would ABUSE my lil shyguy corp. Cheap cost combined with the fact that I knew I could use them more effectivly than any other of bowsers speciality moves is what drove me. However Once I got broggy things got a little trickier, so while the shyguy corp was always my go to Broggy was almost always leading them into battle. (I use so my syrup jars in this game lol). by the way I didn't even know there WAS a 3ds version of a game that I always loved so much.

@Gameboy224 I'm not against the more balanced approach. Just something I noticed is all. I don't know how broken bros attacks were in the DS version because it's been a while since I last played, and it's stolen, so it won't make a difference to me playing this remake.
Yes, but paper jam is also way shorter.. but you can't say uninspired. It was pretty creative mixing up the 2 big rpg series and those big cardboard fights were pretty epic if I say so myself
@@Imar13 are you drunk or you always overgrinded in old M&L ? The only thing that makes you think that Paper Jam was harder is because you couldn't grind, so of course you can play the game as you want and no one is going to judge if you like (or unwantingly) grind before bosses to make them easier but if i can third try the final boss without having to play the game almost at all (opposed to ALL of the other M&L) then the game is easy and of course the bosses moves are creative but come on, the npcs are toads and toads ONLY, and 4 bosses are just 2 Paper ans normal versions while ALL OF THE ENNEMIES AND BOSSES OF THE ENTIRE GAME are just classic Mario ennemies, NO originality, dream team is a masterpiece next to that

I really loved how all the blitties made their cries and that last one was a few seconds to late in the old one

Good. It was some op bullshit anyways.
GRAND DAD it wasn’t the only one I used it was a good move
This is my favourite out of the mario & Luigi series it has such an amazing soundtrack i find my self singing in my head, i even put them on my ipod

Woah. That music timing during the Broggy Bonker/Dark Minion Tackle attack was amazing!
13:24 God-like transition lmao
Im glad a lot of comments noticed this but Bowser is not nearly as well animated as he was in the original. I think its the way they drew his head, it doesn't emote nearly as much. (Compare when Bowser gets and Excellent hit in both games). Also, his whole body is facing more to the right in the remake, so you see less of his features.
Its funny the ds version has no lag.......
It's so logic it hurts --'
Why does everyone complain about the newer ones
Okay now i see why
Probably bc prosafia play it in 3ds
It's been really helpful to hear again the final countdown omg :')
Why are the cakes in the THICC LOOGI attack so slow now ?
Because they're more spread out. It would be impossible to get near to all of them if they were faster. You could tell in the video that the player was struggling to get them all even if it LOOKS slower
I mean Luigi can jump during that to get more food. Its possible to get them all
They have also made Luigi a bit slower during the eating process of the attack now
idk, probably either because they're far more spread out.
or it's just the 3ds screwing the game's speed
Ren Shinomiya nope because you can play the original with the 3DS it’s just they have made Luigi slower now
I will miss Bowser throwing fire balls from his claws during the Kamek attack, it looked badass
Am I the only one who thought in the ds one for the shell kick move when mario lifted his foot it looked like he had the tanooki tail
I think what makes these special moves sick is the fact that you have music that feels like the characters are fighting for their lives and then see Bowser casually washing his dog in front of the enemy.
the only thing that i dont like about this remake is the music
they did it better in SSS remake but in this one..

Your 3ds is old then, I had little lag, and realistically 3ds looks better. But DS has more charm
Okay Bowser whistling at the Bombs to make them charge is a super cool detail
