    I actually like Nicks take here in that, you want the team and the player as well, to really look out for their health and availability. That Mahomes example makes sense.
    I would say, the way Joe Burrow has played (and really low level o-lines to start his career) or has gotten qb hits. He plays a tough style in a tough division. Maybe less hits, maybe team protects player more in offense style, and in precautions. Those things go a long way in keeping a player on the field.

    Sean Payton is probably the most overrated coach of all-time. He underperformed for most of the seasons in which he had one of the greatest QBs of all-time, and if not for a gutsy onside kick and Manning throwing a pick-six in; he may have never won the Super Bowl. To say he's a great coach is an insult to great coaches everywhere.

    • @Maytag1992
      @Maytag1992 7 днів тому

      He IS a great coach. The saints won the division 7 times and went to the playoffs 9 times. Also, playing the "what if" game they should have gone to the SB in 2018 if not for that blatant missed PI call. 1 year in his Denver turn around and he massively improved Russ (stats wise) and increased their winning by three games. He's also helped get the best out of players' (Jameis, Teddy). Crazy to call him overrated.

      If he had more injuries like the calf, there'd be a lot more merit in calling him injury prone.
      Freaky stuff like the ACL and wrist I don't think are indicative of being injury prone, and like you say sometimes people include the appendix which is absolutely ridiculous. 2021 he was sacked the most, 2022 he was sacked the 6th most, yet he didn't miss a snap due to injury in two deep playoffs runs. That's not something that someone that is injury prone can pull off. His two season ending injuries weren't anymore likely to happen on week 1 or week 15, so I don't think pointing out the number of missed games is a great argument.

      Lamar vs. Burrow playoffs….
      Lamar: 2-4 record with only 6 TD/6 INT, 1324 yards and 75 passer rating ( 2 game losing INTs including a pick 6 in close games that Ravens could have won)
      Burrow: 5-2 record with 9 TD/ 4 INT, 1826 yards and 94 passer rating
      Ravens have had FAR superior teams than the Bengals. Multiple Super Bowl rosters since 2018 but 0 appearances and only 1 afc champ appearance. Elite rosters. Harbaugh elite Top 3 Head Coach. Multiple #1 defenses. Best Front Office of this generation. Common denominator holding team back: Lamar.
      Burrow was drafted by the worst team in the league that had the #1 pick and turned that sorry franchise around in only 2nd season with Super Bowl trip while playing behind the worst O-line in the league! A no name head coach and a top prospect ruble franchise. Burrow has exceeded expectations. Lamar has underachieved.

    I give props to Nick for this, he really played this great as Chiefs fan. Last year he trashed Wilson so hard, trying to make him as problem and not awful coaching stuff, which dumb owners and GM bought. And he was giving credit to Payton when it was obvious his coaching didn't change or do anything. And now he's is paving the way to unleash all wrath at Payton so he could be fired soon as possible leaving Broncos in mess for probably very long period (although they are already in mess for last 8 years, probably at least next 5 years), leaving his Chiefs very safe, since Raiders and Chargers are similar mess like Broncos. Well done Nick, well done 👏👏👏👏

Payton won 8 games with a washed QB, which was the most in 7 years, and was in playoff contention with 3 weeks left in the season. Given all of that, how is he a failure after 1 season? Make it make sense.

    If Russell Wilson has a good year and Sean Payton has a bad year, the result will be simple. Pittsburgh will have undermined not only their disvision rivals with their great deal, but also they will have destroyed a competitive coach. The real pressure is in Denver. Russell can have a poor year, and no one will be surprised. It will be huge if he is successful. Denver is expected to be better, because their annoited coach whisperer has come in to turn the toxic Denver environment around. I know where my betting money is going.

    Since no one is going to say it, I’ll say it for you. When y’all talk about Russell Wilson and everything that he’s been through under Sean Payton, with the disrespect of Sean Payton. You do know that the Denver Broncos could have made the playoffs last year right but being that Sean Payton wanted to control the narrative. He sat Russell Wilson for two games because he couldn’t sell that to the organization if they would have made the playoffs and he definitely couldn’t sell that to the organization if they would have made the playoff and won a playoff game that Russell Wilson was washed up so to control the narrative he sat him for two games. But the Bible says you reap what you sow so now that Russell Wilson is in Pittsburgh. Sean Peyton is banking on them not making the playoffs and please don’t let them go to the Super Bowl because now you have to explain to the organization why they ate $36 million dollars and this player is playing at a high level. Now let’s see how this plays out.
