I have the same refrigerator for 6 months now, the standard depth. I totally love this refrigerator! Love that the ice iis in the freezer, less problems that way and the water dispenser is in the side of the door. Like the pull out draw. I highly recommend this !!
@trubmkr yes, its amazing that refrigerators dont last like they use to! My last GE ProFile last about 12 years... crazy. I hear samsung LG are no good! I have three Frigidaires and no problems! Cant have ice makers in the refrigerator!!
how did you get your ice maker to make ice faster? I am not sure why but mine only drops like 20 cubes every 3 hours I think. It is so slow and barely making any
Your fridge is so well organized. I love that the middle drawer can be an added freezer or fridge space. Those containers in the freezer are those glass or plastic. I need multiple of that size too. The ice maker in the freezer is so much better than the ones in fridge. I’ve researched that and true. Fridge ice makers can cause problems with the ice maker. I had one it was not good. I wont ever get another. The water dispenser inside is awesome. I dont need the door dispensers anymore ever.
Btw, this model is actually 22.5 cu ft. The one with the external water/ice dispenser is called GRMC2273CF and is one cu ft less at 21.5 according to their website.
Yeah I have the 21.5 and was trying to afku the right shelf to make it higher so I can fit tall things on bottom but it won't stay up, very annoying, not liking putting them on the shelf the way it came and sliding the top one back to accommodate, some things I love about and some I absolutely hate like that
Just bought this today, but I got the one with the water and ice dispenser on the outside of the door cause my husband likes that better, lol. Thanks for sharing, your review helped us a lot!

Interesting. My local stores have the same counter depth unit with the 2 drawers, however the ice-maker is in the refrigerator with a door dispenser. I like this more
Yes my previous side by side door had the door water and ice and this time wanted to switch it up to the hidden water and ice and I like the clean look of the exterior without having to constantly wipe down the dust and water drippings from the exterior dispenser.

I can help with that. I didn’t have a line for my fridge either so I bought a kit which I’ve installed a few years ago and ran it from the cold water line under the kitchen sink to the back of the fridge. Took a little creativity running the line behind the oven and through the wall of my water heater closet to get to the fridge but the water line is very long so it worked out. Here’s an example of a kit to buy just make sure you know your water pipe size to make sure everything fits before ordering. I'm considering buying this same one. Curious though why the doors are facing your oven? That looks like a major conflict. I would move the entire fridge away from the stove.
Well it’s due to my kitchen size in my apartment the reason they are near each other. As you can see the door next to it is to another room but opposite of the fridge are cabinets and this is the fridge space. I could have gotten a smaller width fridge like my previous which was 30” but wanted this one so made it work for my personal preference. If you look at the bottom of the left door there is a small black makeshift cushioned bumper that I taped on so I wouldn’t damage the door from the oven burner knob. You have to do what works for you and adapt, just a part of life.
Really good review. I was looking at this one, but went with a Kitchenaid. Fingers crossed that it fits in my space, definitely cutting it close. Also, nice way to keep the fridge stocked. Seems like you know how to live well! I'm going to have to try lobster tails!

Thanks for asking, compared to my old fridge my fruits and vegetables do last a little longer but I had issues with my previous fridge constantly changing temperatures so it wouldn’t be the best comparison. Nevertheless now they last between 10 days and 3 weeks depending on how they are stored in the fridge especially for leafy veggies with are delicate as you know. So I tested the leafy veggies in a sealed container and some just in the drawer to see how they would age. I have an update coming soon for my 6 month experience in July
When you open the bottom freezer door you will look above where the ice drops into the tray and see a green light button. Press it to turn the light off. That’s the ice maker power button

Update: Our Fridge just came. So far so good. We are still waiting for the fridge to cool down to optimal temperature. How long did it take for your fridge to get to optimal temperature, including the freezer?
@@l.c.boogie1219 hey that’s awesome. It took mine about 2 hours to get to the right temp because I was going in and out of it arranging food and filling it and I was also being nosey peeping in like a kid in a candy store. The freezer started making ice in about 5 hrs
@@trubmkr yeah our fridge was at optimal temperature within a few hours. The freezer is now up and running and ice maker is working nicely. We are happy with the Fridge.
I cant find any videos or documentation on how the doors swing open as far as if they stick out when open 90 degrees or if they truly open flush with the fridge itself? The fridge we wanted to go in our 37 inch space ended up being 42 with both doors open 90 degrees and our left door will be up against a wall.
No, there’s only one water line which flows to the water dispenser and the ice dispenser. My water line comes directly from the cold water line from under the kitchen sink. I don’t use a separate water hook up in the wall.

I just bought one without the ice maker. I was curious about the bin that holds your butter. Did that come with this model? I just bought the same model yesterday and afterwards found and I watched your video on you tube. After seeing your very good and detailed video I called the salesman who sold me the model and asked how many door bin/shelves come with the model. And I asked specifically about the butter holder which I think has a cover if I'm not mistaken. He said if it isn't there I'm to call the manufacturer with the serial number and ask for one and I should not have to pay for it. I'm confused it. Does a butter bin that is on your door come with this model or is he avoiding answering me? Please answer. Also I have a 26'' opening at my kitchen door will this allow the delivery guys to get this model into the kitchen without having to remove the door first? I know the unit comes with the door, draw, and handles removed and will be put on once it's installed. Thank you Mr. Maker by the way where did you get your frozen food containers I love them and the way you have organized your fridge. You could give lessons! :)

Oh wow that’s awesome, yeah they don’t last like you said. My previous was a GE as well and it lasted 14 years until it retired!

Yes the middle drawer can go from freezer to fridge temps and the containers are plastic which I actually bought some time ago at the 99 store

I don’t know where to find that documentation but I do know that my model opens at 105 degrees
