Let Them Rot: A new vehicle is considered "used" the moment it is sold and registered to a new owner, regardless of how long it has been on the lot. Essentially, once the title is transferred, it becomes a used car, even if it's a recent model year that has been sitting on the dealership lot for a long time.
Yes and that 2023 new car will have 2 years of depreciation once you drive it off the lot. In fact, Only way I'd buy that 23 is to get two years depreciation off the price, a new battery and tires. And have a mechanic inspect the entire car including all the underpinnings. Dealers should never let them stand this long. Should have cut their losses much earlier. They always think they can still get their price but it does not work like that.
It’s realistically worth probably in the range of 30k no more considering the fact it’s done nothing but sit there it’s probably going to have all sorts of issues. Plus it’s a jeep and there already trash reliability.
@@Fomogaragemy mom bought a $20k trailhawk I think it’s a 2018 or something and the gas cap won’t even open anymore cus the electric motor went bad already and it had rust on the underside of one of the doors 💀 she’s had it for like 3 months
They would have to pay me 7 grand to take the pos.. it probably has so many issues like every car on there lot probably does cause all it’s doing is sitting.
Over $100,000 and the most reliable vehicles on the road they’d be a hard sell. Over $100,000 and all the quality problems they’ve had, you’d be a fool to pay that.
Good job Stellantis. You fucked yourself over with a $112, 000 Jeep Wagoneer that will most likely be in the shop for a major repair after 20, 000 miles. I'm not buying these overpriced and unreliable junk vehicles. The bad reliability reputation that sticks to Stellantis is well known. And everyone else knows this as well. They aren't buying either. Good Bye forever Stellantis. You won't be missed.
I’m the sales manager at an Acura dealer and I’ve been in the industry for ten years. I can tell you now, the industry is going to shit prices are just too high and everyone I know in the auto industry is feeling the pain.
We have had seven jeeps and we love them but at this price we are now looking at a late model Ferrari for a little bit more money than a Jeep it's crazy it's ridiculous
How to you get to a level of CEO of a major automotive conglomerate and NOT understand principal #1 - Know your customer. How do you NOT understand that brand loyality is important and that trying to make a brand into a luxury leader when for 100 years it was not, isn't going to fail?? I swear that these moves were done on purpose. Nobody could be this stupid and incompetent. Even with the highest levels of greed, if you run your own company out of business how is that profitable??? That's why i feel he was purposely trying to wreck Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep.
Jeeps are such pos vehicles. Why pay Porsche prices for a wrangler.. makes no sense. They won’t be missed when there out of business. Years and years of screwing over costomers. Gonna catch up with them.
To piggyback that...... Anything over 1OK for a vehicle is too expensive. People still have to pay a mortgage, insurance costs, child care, utility bills, price of gas, clothes, for family, and eggs.
Let’s be honest, some vehicles are a niche item and those who wanted them (enthusiasts) already bought and own theirs. Jeep, Cybertruck, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Fiat 500, Mini Cooper… ordinary people don’t wake up and decide they’ll buy these brands. You’ve got to be a brand loyalist and adore such vehicles so unless you upgrade every year or two, nobody else is going to rush into dealerships to finance these. Not at what prices on the sticker. Eventually Jeep will be forced to stop manufacturing the Cherokee, Grand Wagoneer & Patriot due to lack of demand.
All they can do now is cut the prices around 30% and take a loss. Even at that, some of these may have to be slashed more to move them. Not everybody needs a V8, but a naturally aspirated V6 works too.
Tavares made the dealers pay insanity prices for their inventory. Without help from the oem the dealers can only cut so much. Sure they could discount them 40K but they would be out of business in short order. Tavares already got his money from the dealers and could care less about them. He don't care about dealers, American workers or America for that matter. He is going to drive these brands into the ground to the point that they won't even have the option to sell the a brand to another company. This is heading for full scale liquidation.

Bought a 21 GCL New in 21. People screamed, wait, do not buy now, wait. Fully loaded below MSRP. So glad I did not listen. That vehicle now is 25 k more. These car experts telling you what to do is like listening to the DNC. Do your own homework.
Stellantis can keep playing their ridiculous pricing games. I’m quite happy with my paid for 2020 Volkswagen Jetta that had an MSRP of $24,000. I have taken it on four long road trips with zero issues. Not everyone needs a pickup or an suv.
I absolutely LOVE to see this. To all the idiots that overpaid for vehicles over the pandemic... You are the problem here. The manufacturers figured out how dumb people really are. They bumped the crap out of prices and they refuse to bring them back down now. I'll never buy another new vehicle again if they don't get back down to good prices again. The rates are just stupid. That needs to be lowered back down to sub 2%. If Stellantis would offer 0% for 72 on some of these they would sell.
Jeep- just empty every pocket 😂, horrible quality and reliability, defective motors , transmissions, coolant leaks and brakes issues, weak stock champion plugs . It’s basically a Fiat , engine and all modules are riddled with glitches, and doesn’t have nothing in common with classic American automotive engineering school🙄
Yes the dealers and manufacturers are living in lala land, but you aint getting 40k off man, lets be real.....unless, unless this economy goes to super bs. With the price lowering plus another few grand off max they might give you 12 to 14k off, but yes it would still be overpriced for a grand wagoneer over 80k no matter what features.
It’s beautiful to see these companies getting bit in the ass from their own greed.
Preach!!!
What a lot of people don’t realize is everything comes down the chain, if the big companies start failing, that’s not good even for the little guys.
No Jeep is worth 100 thousand dollars.
😂😂😂
Yup I would have bought a Gladiator if it were priced around $50k…$72k you are smoking crack!
@ gladiator is cool but not $70k cool lmao
@@msk3905I got a left over 23 gladiator Mojave for 50k back in January. 15k off of MSRP. Those deals are out there, you just gotta find them
No car or truck is worth 100k. After a few years what have you got. Nothing.

Stellantis learning the hard way, building WAY OVERPRICED GARBAGE has never been a winning business model.
Say it again brother.
They sure have had some ego thinking they were ehh?😂
That $150k Jeep needs a $100k discount before it should be bought
It needs a little more than $100k discount.
Jeep - just empty every pocket 😂

$7k discount. They are off by a zero … need $70k discount before I’ll even look at it … it’s a Jeep, not a Range Rover. 😊
The fact they can come off 7k tells you they have them marked up to high.
They would have to pay me 7 grand to take the pos.. it probably has so many issues like every car on there lot probably does cause all it’s doing is sitting.

100 grand waggoneer 😅
Even if the prices were good, there's a limited client base for wagoneer. It's a giant rectangle that will never be efficient.
I cannot believe they thought 120k for a grand wagoneer was logical. By no means is that worth that much
I’m the sales manager at an Acura dealer and I’ve been in the industry for ten years. I can tell you now, the industry is going to shit prices are just too high and everyone I know in the auto industry is feeling the pain.
I remember my first car, an acura integra. Took a car crash to kill it at 350,000 miles
Once you realize there's a plan to further destroy the auto industry to bring about a new control system, it all makes sense!!
I would rather use a horse and cart than buy a battery car
Overpriced JUNK can ROT on that lot !!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my book any vehicle a year old is used as far as value.
These manufacturers and dealers screwed over the consumers.
Not even worth $60k, because worth less than that once you sign for it. Worse depreciation than ford and dodge. Same quality!
Those 1100 Stellantis employees that are getting laid off knew it was coming.

The dealer's can't do the discounts they need to do because they will be so deep in the Red.
I found a 2014 Honda CR-V LX with 114k miles. And they are still asking for 16k
Hondas and Toyotas hold their value more than American made cars.
Ranging from the Wagoneer to the electric/hybrid lineup.. their QC is notoriously bad even more so now...
Good luck, Stellantis.
Ha-Ha-Ha, what's next? Gajillion-Bazillion dollars for 1975 Pinto!
They depreciate so dang hard. It’s actually insane

The wal-mart of dealerships.
Take away for today "you don't charge 100k for a jeep".Fam is right😂
Getting close, would need 100% 10 year B to B warranty with guaranteed wrangler loaner.
Need to discount 100k. Anyone paying 50k or more for that is getting ripped off.
To piggyback that...... Anything over 1OK for a vehicle is too expensive. People still have to pay a mortgage, insurance costs, child care, utility bills, price of gas, clothes, for family, and eggs.
Don't forget the Sun Damage on paint plastic ...
I can a nice 2023 Escalade that’s so much nicer for 80 or 90K and still that’s a lot a money
Ill stick with my pre owned 2022 Rav4 and my 2002 Taurus.
Bring back the CJ7 with a 5 speed manual transmission.

They should rent them out
The Ceo’s are more than greedy . Imagine paying 70+ k for a jeep ???
After 5000 miles it will break .
Let it rot in their lots .
RIP= Jeep
More money than I have purchased a house for.
People are still buying the grand wagoneer. I see them on the road.
Probably leased or could be rentals?
Must be a regional thing. Only ones ive seen in Los Angeles have arizona license plates. Usually means its a rental.
Explain to me how you afford insane rents , groceries, utilities, insurance and a $50 grand vehicle…

Let's just keep adding markups, dealers! Idiots!
I don’t think you can get a new car loan on a 23 now. At least that’s the way it is on a new motorcycle!
NO JEEP NO TRUCKS ARE WORTH 100 GRAND. WORTH APPROXIMATELY 50 GRAND.
Glad to hear you speaking slower lol breath man breath
Breath man breath
@ smell my ass😏
Stellantis is out of touch with reality, a 7k discount is not nearly enough.....try again!
$111,000 for a Rubicon…wow is Stellantis run by Democrats?
These comments say it all. Period
It was all just greed
Who is spending $100k on a ride?

Those things are all ugly. Who would pay money for this?
Don't worry. Trump's tariffs will fix high prices /S 😂
Crap. Go out of business
Don’t like stop voting for trump
Too late for that. They have elected a convicted criminal for the president of the US. 😊
Jeeps were 40k in 2010
