Get video content as usual great bike control - but when you both jumped over knoll @20.10 great recovery by the front rider (and yes he can hold a corner) and you. I would have released let the bike go hedge my chances landing on a soft bush - that came up so fast alot of experience shown. Really enjoyed the video.
G'day mate, watching your traction control settings as you ride, you seem to change it around but stay mainly in setting 3. Can you enlighten me on what your preference is there? And why? Also is it different if your on a 790/890 verses the bigger bikes?
Honestly it’s not something I focus on that much. Other than making sure it’s in nine on the street sections and one on the slippery or sand stuff I normally run it around three.
Awesome as always Chris - Be really interested to know how the throttle connection was on the AMT on 1st gear hairpins, the sort you’d normally feather the clutch ?
Definitely mastering your rear brake modulation and control is a very important skill. We’ve got it all covered at the say no to slow videos saynotoslow.nz
Meaning on/off? You just need more practice to get the feeling. You could try wearing trials boots that have a softer sole and thus greater feeling than MX boots but take it easy with them as they don't offer that much protection. As a rule of thumb one needs to apply the rear brake a fraction of a second before the front (in low traction conditions in general) to get the forks a tad compressed, it helps a lot with chassis stability and increased traction for the front thereafter.
Great video! Thanks for sharing this! But tell me: what was that “9” on the dash there? I haven’t seen that on your bike before. 🧐 Edit after finishing the video - legends! Chris and Johnny on that ridge on day two! Great footage of really high level riding. Love it!
Hey Chris besides the dust, is it better to have another rider just in front on tracks u don't know well or at all? I've ridden both in front and behind and found watching the rider in front gives me some time to adjust my line. Great riding, I'll be as good as u in my dreams🇦🇺💜🌠 Aussies were awesome 🤘
