@8:15 Yes, despite spending a few mins pointing out which side was negative…..I soldered in one of the caps backwards! 😂😂 It’s been corrected before I powered the ECU up. In my defense, I was focused on making the video.
Thank you for the video. Im gonna re- cap my Aerostar board today. I ordered a ' rebuilt' unit off RockAuto supposed to be remanufactured by Blue Streak. Put that board in and screwed around for at least two weeks replacing all kinds of sensors and the alternator only to find out it was my new PCM! Took that board out and discovered NOTHING had been done... original caps and the dust that blows in through the back of the test port. So much for ' reflowing' the board in a wave soldering machine. It's pretty bad when you have to fix your own shit on the component level. Let it be known that I go outta my way to source as much US Motorcraft and factory NOS stuff for this van cause I've been disappointed before. And lastly, you can't talk to anybody at RockAuto OR BlueStreak to add to the double fisted monkeyfuk!
@@jaymartin5434 on eBay search “mustang ECU capacitors” and you’ll see several vendors selling the caps are kits for these ECU. If you wanted to buy them separately in bulk you’d have to spec them out on mouser or digikey or Amazon.
Unknown to me. Unable to find any schematic of the board but I do think the capacitor on the outside edge is related to the fuel pump. It seems when that capacitor fails, the pump continuously runs.
