It looks great for the first year, or until after it's gotten wet from rain or snow, then it turns grayish, still looks good, but I like the color of it when it's new.
There’s nothing wrong with making your own fence because the prices of fencing today is outrageous your mom sounds like what most people did when they had no money. My kind of lady.
I doubled it and it gives more privacy if you want more, it is a little bit more money but it does give more privacy and if you attach both together, but I just went thru an F1 tornado and its still in good shape😂 but I have to reattach.
It's made out of dry reeds and has wire threaded through them at multiple places, so I am not sure cutting the height would turn out well. I'd recommend popping over to somewhere like Home Depot and taking a look at what they have to see if that would work for you. If you do try it, you would want to use a really sharp cutting tool to get a clean look. As an alternative, you might be better going with a Privacy Fencing Screen, which is made out of material, I show that in a different video.
Really disappointed at how transparent it is. Just bought 80 ft of the 6 ft and 56 ft of the 4 ft version of this crap on an online auction. I was going to attach it to a chain link fence. Instead I will be putting it up for sale on Facebook marketplace. That looks horrible. Thanks for the video.
Unfortunately, those sneak evil weeds can get through almost anything, including Reed Fencing. They'll try to either go through it or in between the fence you attach it to and the Reed Fencing material. My brother uses a combination of Dawn Soap, Water and Vinegar, that he sprays once in a while at the bottom which kills the weeds. You could probably find the right ratio of Dawn dish soap, water and vinegar to use by googling it.
Thank you for the video , good to know what it looks like as I was thinking of buying this product.
Glad I could help

LOL, thanks Theresa. Mom and Dad grew up during a time when people did things for themselves, and did with less.
love this idea where did you purchase the Reed fencing?
I got my reed fencing at Home Depot. Lowes has it too
Great video Randy!! I subscribed!

Any recommendations for attaching to block wall?
Just curious.....do you think can you cut it in half for a 3 foot tall fence? I need something like this to replace a small hedge. 😊

I like how everyone likes to block out everyone from looking into their yard.😂😂😂
Can weeds get through this?
