As a disc main, I firmly believe r sham is the best healer to put with.
Ranged interrupt, stun, and knock up are massive ways to catch back up.
Especially the healing stream build, it’s so easy.
Disc is very unforgiving. If you mis time your ramp window you’re kind of boned.

If you just wanna get used to a proper healer, maybe r sham or holy priest are solid. If you want to dropkick your monitor with pugs, apparently disc and pre-voker are good for that. :D

healing as disc in DF is super fun, but when you pug .... some (a lot of) people just dont press any defensives proactively... feels like they are saving it for the next dungeon and the best part is they blame me as if i shouldve pressed it for them
So i can see why would you step away from disc

hey im a 3200 resto shaman and you got the right mindset for pushing io....the only thing i want you to know is if the tank dies this season it is almost never your fault....dks health is spikey but they heal with their death strike so you will often overheal them if you try to "save" them. Always good to assume what you could have done better and you COULD have saved him but really you shouldn't have needed to save him. In lower keys you just gotta save them anyway because they don't know how to fully play their class very often so your point stands regardless.

When you heal DK's, there are two things that are good for you to keep track of - Runic power, and purgatory debuff. If purg debuff is not active, you can remain way more relaxed. Also, re Runic Power - if they have it, even if they are low, its all good.

Number one thing you need to learn about healing is "You can't heal stupid" I'm honestly impressed you managed to drag that DK through the 11 considering he clearly wasn't even trying to death strike almost at all throughout the dungeon seeing him being low HP and sitting on 100% runic power was shocking to say the least.

Im in awe of how many tanks I have encountered that just are not pressing their cds!

I'm a resto druid and I've been having a lot of fun! I find it easier than priest despite having more buttons somehow lmao. I just like having a lot to do, I guess, but I end up running out of mana so often because NO ONE uses their damn defensives and I waste my own cooldowns keeping them from death. You can't heal stupid!

Resto druid and Disc priest get infinitely better the better the group you're in. Resto Shammy and H priest are probably the best "reactive" healers.

Nutzy, do you feel like resto shaman has mana issue? I belive I have as shammy. I am 2.2k now and can heal +18 with no problems BUT I get OOM alot

Hmm without proper experience with the other healers, its hard to say how sham is comparing to the other healers. But honestly i only run completly dry whenever im in a group where noone dodges anything and I have to spam heal haha.
With your shield that gives back mana and making sure you try and get a few seconds of drinking between the pulls has kept me above 40% for most of the dungeons.

the most proactice heal is disc, not druid. Druid is seen as a simple healer, the most difficult healer is disc. So you are wrong.

@@Nutzy5840 You go on about how healers could dispell and how they don't, as if they're being lazy or something, then going on about how when you started playing a healer you knew they could have dispelled but didn't, so you were right all along. There's like a million reasons as to why healers don't or can't dispell things. That whole part just comes across as very elitist and condescending.

    • @Nutzy5840
      @Nutzy5840  5 місяців тому +2

Im sorry if it came off like that, the last thing i want is to sound elitist or just to put anyone down. What i meant to say was just the fact that i was surprised about how much you actually are dispelling. And also how many stuns you could actually dispell people out of.
You're absolutely right that it can be for many reasons why a healer might miss a dispell, and honestly thats totally fair, everyone misses stuff. Meant no hate to any healer

@@Imafool1 he literally talks for minutes on how unappreciated healers are, and how easy it is to overlook that a healer can save a group not using their spells/defensives. He looks on it from both perspectives, which imo is the exact opposite of having an elitist mindset
