  • Rising into the Florida sky, the 327-foot rocket thunders away from the launch pad, marking the first time a new vehicle has launched from the complex since the first space shuttle launch in 1981.

    I have been watching this since they first announced the plans for a new rocket and was waiting to watch this launch like a child waits for Christmas morning!!!
    Unbelievably Amazing!!!! GO Constellation!!! :)

    Wow. That is one fast and beautiful rock. Reaching mach 4 in only 2 minutes.

    Finally after so much blood and sweat of testing in the hot and humid Vertical Assembly Building during the Hot Dog Summer months we see the wonderful results! Congrats to the entire team that endured those long hours of testing as this flight really shows the dedication!

    beautiful rocket.
    It's actually very graceful! Maybe it is just more special knowing how much work must have gone into it; how many years of development and testing, and this beautiful craft is the result.
    NASA, it never astounds me how your vision can become a reality. Thank you! I hope to work with you someday!

    They launched it on Oct 28 and I didn't hear about it?! Stuipid news.
