Burna is how I imagine a Nigerian king would act. Very confident.
With the smile and voice too
I know right!👑 Love him!❤
❤️❤️❤️
Right, he gives me king vibes for real ✨ 😌
Yessssss ❤️
The funniest thing about this conversation is that the jokes certainly hit different for Trevor. As a fellow African, he understood everything Burna said (or didn't say) in a much deeper way. It was lovely to see.
I noticed this too, everyone else laughed but the understood the concepts because he also is in that situation of Africa's 1st comedian...
Bruh this was definitely one of th funniest things I've seen in a while that was relatable as an African "what is a pretzel" no chill 🤣

As a Kenyan I comprehend completely what you mean. Odogwu is so introspective and so clear.
"We don't lie unless we want to scam you" as an African Nigerian to be exact this statement is so true.

Nigerians are so clever. He just prove what Treavor said by asking him why he doesn't' offer him any drink. lol

I have watched all burna boys interviews in this life, no one has ever brought him out of his shell like this. The level of comfort is unbeatable.

As a Nigerian, I can boldly say that Trevor is the biggest African export when it comes to shows. Was so proud to be from this continent when I watched him addressing the US President and all those VIPs present. That was massive. At the same time he is giving it back to Africa. Reason why he features people like Burna, he knows the ripple effect. Those watching his shows worldwide will start looking at what is coming from Africa. The most beautiful part is the connection between the two brothers, Trevor understood everything Burna said and didn't say, reason why he looks so free, it's like two buddies from the same neighborhood having a regular chat, it doesn't look like a show. Thank you Trevor.
Trevor is a blessing.

Can we talk about the smile of burna boy, the guy really has a nice smile with great teeth plus a great personality
Yes he does

Thanks, I thought if I mention the teeth I'll sound weird...I really notice teeth though
Magnetic smile!
I liked it more when Burna said the world should move on…meaning he’s also tied of people getting shocked when an African is doing well on an international stage✊🏽. I really felt that❤️. Thanks Burna for sharing your insights, it shows you vibrates on a different level from the rest. ✌🏽🇿🇦
Yes. Like at this point we have shown and proven all we need to prove, so being shocked is ignorant. The same way I kmt when I see Africans get SOOO excited when a foreigner can speak our language or even say one word. Do they get excited when we speak English or French? Let us stop with the shock
Great insight brother!
Ewe , unyanisile uBurna. We should change the way we view this.
I wish I can double like this and move it to 100 likes

I love how Burna laughs at his own jokes even before Trevor does. The man's charisma and confidence 😂😂🔥

I've noticed Nigerians since teenage years and have always admired their Tenacity . The largest Black or African populated nation on the face of the Earth. What a force to recon with. They come with the confidence that we are the best .
One thing I like about us Africans is that we go straight to the point. If Trevor was not African as well, he would think Burna is rude or something. But he knows that's just us.
I know right especially the food part, when burna mentioned pretzels he understood 🤣. He be like put in some fufu or ugali up in there with some drink to wash it down.
Facts🙏🏽🙏🏽
I am from California and I love that dude he is hilarious it’s awesome!!!
Right!
Other Africans also think Nigerians are arrogant when that's just our confidence in action, but thank heavens Trevoh is already used to the Nigerian way

What an African King. I have been to Nigeria before, my Ex-husband is Igbo from Enugu. I'm Jamaican so my Kids are half Nigerian. The most beautiful Black People I have seen was in Nigeria. I live in America much love and much success Burna Boy.
I went to a university in UK with Nigerian students from Nigeria. I am a Somali, it was the best years of my life, never had so much hard belly laughs as I did with them, there is nothing like a Nigerian banter, they were the sweetest, the most proud and funniest people I have ever encountered. If I can repeat those years I would have it on a constant rewind.
How beautiful 😍! So happy for you to have had these memories, amazing!🥰
Awesome comment Sharon.
And as an Igbo man, I wish you never left our land. I am pained by divorce, our land will always miss you. The bond we have with our yam and red soil will keep you close to us. We have in-laws from all over the earth and I wish we don't loose anyone of you sweet souls from across the continents

I liked when Trevor asked what drink he likes and responded with " I don't want to promote anyone here." Value of knowing your worth. Proper naija pikin. No free promotion o.
For real....I loved that!!
Let the companies come begging!
The guy is opened for business
but he is a Johnny Walker ambassador, even if it was limited to just Africa I feel he could at least give them props and maybe ask for his cheque later or maybe this was staged and Trevor didn't want him to mention any brand, just maybe!
Abi o. If dem want promo, make dem drop pay. 😁
@@kealdytv ask for the cheque later??? 😂🤣🤣
The best part of the interview was him saying....''I don't want to promote anyone'" when asked what type of drink he wants... That's an amazing business strategy!!
Still don't know how thats the best part
🤣the thing about Nigerians is that if we killing it, we will never say “we are trying” my mum wouldn’t take it if I said that...if at all we want to be modest we will say “thank you” why will I say I’m trying, my mum would say “are you speaking trials into your life” 🤣🤣
😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
With respect, downplaying success a bit in conversations is a “cultural nuance” often used to deflect seeming like a “braggart”. This nuance is practiced in many cultures in Africa, Asia and elsewhere. Also seen in Islamic cultures where a person may answer “praise” by saying “alhamdolillah”. This is not to downplay Nigerian culture at all-it is just a distinction. Big up to Burna Boy and other “Afropop” artists.
😂😂😂😂
"are you speaking trials into your life" whatttt

Burna talking about why you don't say, "the first American to shut down a center in tokyo" is incredible cuz they make it seem like when a non American artist or person does something huge in America it's like it's the biggest thing in the world. As African's we have to know our worth and uphold our own stuff.
True
Yup
Nigerians have self pride and they ain't ready for that
Yep but it goes deeper, its also "first African American" & "first native American" to do whatever...its a psychological trick to keep people on the servant mindstate and the european as an attainable ideal instead of just another gig...thats why oscars and grammys carry so much weight, their just bouji euro parties...all of it is falling apart, especially since Will's slap😂

I appreciate Burna's perfect Nigerian accent in the interview, the representation is top notch. Massive improvement from the last one in 2019.
Can I ask, what exactly is a perfect "Nigerian accent" ? Isn't he Nigerian?
@@capricorn8752 some Nigerians don't use their normal accent when speaking abroad. At times it's a result of the influence of the person they're speaking with, and other times they're just trying to fit in.
So a perfect Nigerian accent is for a person to speak as they would when in Nigeria, around Nigerians.
