@@peggyyoung9348 Are you sure because another reactor said it was Sydnie & if you listen to Sydnie sing it , it definately sounds like her, but like you i think that Sydnie's was the best.
Great reaction! Sydnie is quite a powerhouse. Her other 2 performances on BGT are brilliant and somehow get better each time. I recommend reactions to both.
Welcome to the Sydnie Christmas journey. It only gets better. Sydnie doesn't just sing a song - she becomes the song and the song becomes her. They are one. That's why her performances feel so personal.
People are nerves more because it is soooo important to them to get it right because it can lead to a big career and as very little to do with the audience. I'm 75 and when I first heard the song, I didn't care for it at all, now I love it.
Sydnie Christmas is beyond phenomenal, this lady brings real love, laughter, happiness, talent to the world, her voice of course is amazing and brilliant but her personality is off the scale she is so very down to earth, funny, humble, kind.
Anytime I see reactors doing a Sydnie clip…I’m there! I absolutely LOVE this lady:her voice, her personality and her precious“Nans”! She’s just wonderful! Thanks for the great reactions!❤️
sydnie transforms this song from a hymn of childhood optimism to a powerful statement of adult angst, by changing the original "only" to "always" and by emphasizing the change with her physical movement and her vocal technique at the end. All of this reflects her personal journey to a singing career, for which this appearance on BGT was, in her words, a last ditch effort to even have a career. She will now have that career, but hopefully she will give up her goal of West End theater and go for the concert stage, where her power and interpretation will reach a far greater audience.
Good to see you both again. Sydnie is truly a special talent. Her voice is so amazing, the way she brings the emotion of the song right to your heart. Such a bright future ahead of her. Praying that broadway or someone brings her over here to the US so can see her in person someday
Us old folks know that "Annie" was based on the comic strip, "Little Orphan Annie" that appeared in newspapers starting in the 1930's. The stock market has just crashed, and many "little orphans" loved to read about the adventures she had when Daddy Warbucks (guess where his fortune came from) took her in and eventually adopted her. The musical came much later.
Great reaction guys! Sydnie's audition performance was heartwarming, emotional and overwhelmingly beautiful. Like everybody else has said: You must play and react to Sydnie's semi-final performance of "MY WAY" next. Then you must play and react to Sydnie's finals performance of "OVER THE RAINBOW". And please tack on the winner announcement on the end of it. I promise you will be blown away! Best regards, Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
Annie was a theater m stage musical in the 1970s. Because it was very successful, it was made into a movie musical in 2014. "Tomorrow" is the big song from the show. Here Sydnie sings a version done years ago by Marissa Meyer, but Sydnie did put a few touches of her own in. I've never been to Britain but when Sydnie gets a starring role on the West End (the Broadway of England), I'm going to fly there just to see her.
I love your reactions. Can’t wait to see your reaction to her My Way semi finals and Over the Rainbow finals. I’m following her on Instagram and she’s a darling person. She does answer you when she can. She always makes my day
The show was on Broadway opening in 1977 and running for almost 6 years. If you remember the little kiddy rendition of the song, it is nothing like Sidnie's grown-up adult version emoted with a history of life experiences. She now has an album and is going on an English tour starting in Feb 2025. My favorites from the album are her Christmas songs. No play on words.
As the one previous commenter said, you need to watch the semi-final and finale. I have enjoyed going on UA-cam and watching BGT performances the last few years, lot of fun. The Winner gets the chance to perform on front of the Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall, plus they win 250,000 pounds.
Great reaction. Further to the other comments you have received, your musical journey will never be complete until you hear Sydnie singing "My Way" in the semi-final and "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in the final.
Hi Bars & Barbells, Great reaction to Sydney Christmas. She is a superstar in the making. Us Brits love Bars & Barbells so much that we just want to wrap you guys up in cotton wool and steal you from the rest of the world. But the decision is yours. Great reaction guys and look forward to your next video. xxx
She had them at "lonely," where they start cheering, except for Simon who glanced around in astonishment, like a gambler who can't quite believe he hit the jackpot.
Sidnie performed in the semi final and final, singing My Way and Over the Rainbow. Both done elegantly and with feeling. She is so amazing…I hope she gets the exposure that she desires!
This was also the first episode of the new season. I wonder is that may be why Amanda said it was too early as well. I would like to know. I have watched this (all of her) performances so often I am embarrassed to say. I can's wait until she comes to a town near me (USA). She is a rare talent and she can bring hope to a world that really needs it now.
As sydnie said in an interview, she was so nervous because she suddenly realised she was going on stage as herself and not a character in a production.
When Sydnie took the stage, I thought she appeared to be an easy going quirky young lady. So innocent, almost child like. Enter my smile. Then, she started her humorous banter, without any of the typical drivel or drama, with the judges and my smile incorporated laughter. She named her song and I thought "uh, oh," remembering Simon's dislike for it. She shook off the ugly look from Simon...then, she began to sing. I got chills, an incredible wave of emotion and tears. She changed one word in the lyrics to change the feel of the song. The line "only a day away' had the word "only" substituted for "always." The kid's song from Annie is not supposed to do all of that. This is a mature, grownup version. I will never think of "Tomorrow" in the same light. Sydnie set the bar. Her reactions to the jujdges' comments were so pure and real...WOW! She was like a child with her first ice cream. Theater awaits, or any other arena. That girl has the personality and pipes!
You did a great reaction. And yes, Sydnie is very talented. But, this was Sydnie's first shot across the bow. In her next song, which is in the semi-finals, she sings Frank Sinatra's "My Way", and she sings it her way. Her third song in her trilogy on BGT is Over the Rainbow. Finally, she has just released a new song called Starlight Express. I am a huge fan of Sydnie's as I think she is a generational talent. And no, I never say that. And I rarely follow reactions. But have been following all of the reactions on Sydnie. As I am now following yours.
Sydnie is just beyond awesome, so pls "waste no time" getting to her other two BGT songs: no escaping online the fact she won this year, for she ended up giving no-one else a chance. Bruno, the white haired judge who's come over from strictly dancing, says it very well each time. Amanda's "too early" referred to Sydnie being among the very first auditions for this year: can't give golden buzzers so soon in the contest...., but, maybe 'you just have to' where it's deserved. Sydnie improved vastly on other's covers for this and her last song, "Over the Rainbow," giving it her kiss, as she said on the breakfast tv show afterward, but her semi-final of "My Way" is her own cover, which she was able to prepare specially for this semi-final. The song in the final she had loads of help with, since, with BGT, all the contestants are given about a week or less after their semi-final round till the day of the final. Sydnie's own experience of preparation for ge final is also heart warming, as you'll discover.
Sydnie Christmas...MORE, PLEASE!!! "My way" (semi finals), "Over the rainbow" (finals), and also her latest "Starlight express"! Anyway, i am from Serbia 🇷🇸, and i love your reaction!💓💓💓
Great reaction, guys! Very nice voice! The only problem with letting the other judges speak glowingly about a contestant is that they may hit their golden button first.
I didn't think the quiver was nerves, I felt it was the character she adopted. The original feels like Annie is convinced tomorrow will be better and today's troubles will be behind her whereas her version felt like the character singing was trying to convince herself that it will be true. Fun listening with y'all.
Regarding Amanda Holdens "too early" comment. I believe this audition took place on the very first night of filming, and thus, too early for a golden buzzer. Glad she overcame that!
Annie was a famous Broadway play, which became a movie. Based on the character, "Luttle Orphan Annie", from a famous comic strip. You guys must've been sheltered lol
Thank you for reacting to Sydnie. She deserves your nice attention. Please react to her Semi-Final ("My Way") and GF ("Somewhere Over The Rainbow"), in that order. You'll all the more be amazed with her. She's truly a wonderful talent to watch.
MORE SYDNEI !!!! The semi-finals and the finals. All performances by her were beyond belief. What a positively absolute talent
Best trio of performance ever in BGT imo. Shes perfect.
Shes a professional been doing theatre and west end for years
Please watch the semi final, her version of my way, wow!
Her semi-final performance of "My Way," is absolutely stunning!
Yeah my way. Blow me away
That's my favorite of the three!
Sydnie is untouchable! You need to hear her do “My Way”. Please get that one!
You will be amazed, she wins it all, watch her other performances, you will enjoy her,
That was her singing Over the Rainbow, that is how good she was!
@@chrisalldis3375no that was Lauren Allred sing over the rainbow. But I think Sydnie sang it best.
@@peggyyoung9348 Are you sure because another reactor said it was Sydnie & if you listen to Sydnie sing it , it definately sounds like her, but like you i think that Sydnie's was the best.
You absolutely have to watch the next two performances. She is simply amazing!!
you can see that winning BGT 2024 was her destiny! AMAZING vocalist!
The whole world just explode with love and admiration for Sydnie's talent and personality. She's great!
Great reaction! Sydnie is quite a powerhouse. Her other 2 performances on BGT are brilliant and somehow get better each time. I recommend reactions to both.
Definitely have to see her next two performances! Her audition was just a minor sample of her incredible talent ❤

You literally have no idea the great singer she is, her next appearance is so espectacular that she leaves everyone shocked.

Oh her version of "My way" is a must.
Listen to her doing My Way 👌
This LADY is a Super, Super, Super STAR!
2:10. The West End theatre is like Londons version of the Broadway theatre.
Her singing gives me goosebumps & makes my eyes leak... I highly recommend her other 2 appearances
She is amazing. Heard her several times and can't get enough❤
Yay! So LOVE her! Such a gorgeous voice! 🤗🤗🤗🎶🎶🎶
Do her version of “My way” next. Only one more after this, followed by “Somewhere over the Rainbow” to finish it up.
Her 'My Way' next. Truly awesome.
It would be criminal to deny the world the gift of her talent! I very seldom make comments but I’ll make an exception for her!
When Sydnie sing i got tears in my eyes, she is amazing❤ her voice just touch your soul and grab your heart ❤

Yup. Watch her other two songs. Her next one, "I did it my way", by old blue eyes is my favorite of hers. So good.
Phil, you killing me man with your spot on impression of "proper chills".

"Let's have it!" is very Estuary English, London and Home Counties. Not a phrase generally heard in the UK.

I think the Golden Buzzer is reserved for 1 judge each episode. Then it goes to a different judge the next one, etc.
@lawrenceb5236 ok. I think that is different than AGT.
I didn't think the quiver was nerves, I felt it was the character she adopted. Watch her next 2 especially My Way
My sister was an aspiring country singer so I sat through a lot of gong shows. Sydnee is a Superstar!
Super singer
You need to listen to the original to be able to compare them. This version is fantastic.
The 'West End' is London's equivalent to 'Broadway' and 'Annie' was a stage musical before it was made into a film.
New to y’all’s channel… digging it! Most definitely watch her other performances you’ll be pleasantly surprised 🎉
Awesome!
Sydnei won BGT. Fantastic singer
Drop what you are doing and react to the other two. First, My Way then Over the Rainbow. She gets better!
