    My Tulasi plant was almost dead and I understood that i am not taking care of it well. So just decided to water the plant at one particular time and to expose to the sunlight at right time. That's it. It Started to grow like never before. Caring is what makes anything to come back to life.

    I have a 30 year-old ficus plant inside. It "died" a couple of times and this year is more beautiful than ever. I discovered it likes to be sprayed from time to time, mostly in winter when it's so dry inside. I also fertilize it twice a month. It might survive me! 😄

    Yes very good and helpful, thank you.
    I had 2 dying plants in November, I cut the branches to get to the green bit. One plant was much worse but I left it cut down for the winter, the other plant had green ends I left it in its dormant stage with little stubby branches. A few weeks ago I started watering it and now the first plant has produced new green leaves and seems quite happy, so of course I was glad I did the right thing. The other plant showed no signs of life and I chucked it.

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому +19

      As far as I know cordylines and Phormiums come from dry sunny places and don't like too much wet.
      It is normal for the lower leaves to yellow and die off. But if entire leaves are yellowing
      Don't fertilize it for few months.
      Water only when top one inch of the soil feels dry to touch.
      New leaves will soon grow again.
      But besides all this, If it still degrades just cut the main stem down to almost ground level, in few months you will see new sprouts.
      Hope it will help.
      Thanks for watching 😊.

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому

      Fern cannot handle extremely hot weather and dry hot wind. Firstly you need to cut all the dead or dying things, and examine the crown in the centere, if it is rotting from centre, then it is root rot which is caused by poor soil and over watering.
      if it still having new growth so nothing to be worried about, new shoots will regrow soon in rainy season.
      Meanwhile reduce watering cycles. Water only when soil slightly dried out.
      Increase the humidity around the plant by humidity trey tray or by placing the pot into another larger pot lined with moss or by misting the fern a few times a day.
      To knows about humidity trey watch this video.

      If possible make a transparent shade and keep them under that, you should also do a regular tilling to avoide water logging in pots, fill the pot with more soil so that pot can store less water. Make some extra holes in pot to ensure instent drainage.

    My marigold plants leaves are curling so what should i do

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому +4

      Marigolds are short lifed seasonal plants, if your plant is old and has already flowered in past months, May be its life cycle is about to end. Reason may be hot weather or viral desease. If plant is not very old you can try pruning branches which has curly leaves. If new leaves will grow with curl, it's a virus infection. I suggested to discard such plant.
      Hope it will help.

    I have a night jasmine(raat ki rani), planted in earth soil, it has been growing well for last 2 months, i added a normal fertilizer to the soil at start of april... Since last 3,4 days im observing tht its leaves has started to turn yellow n they are falling off then, also its not flowering at all.. But yeah it had been growing well previously like till 3,4 days back... Any clue if all of this is fine or thrs some problem... The temperature here is being about 35 degrees celcius and it recieves sunlight flitered through cheeko tree... Not under direct sunlight as such...

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому +6

      This happens with night jasmine sometimes. The reason may be high temperatures or over fertilizing or over watering. But yellowing or falling leaves doesn’t mean that the plant is sick. Don't worry, New leaves will soon grow again. Meanwhile reduce watering cycles.

      If leave are browning and then dying, it must be fungal infection caused by poor lighting, poor soil or over watering and excess moisture, which is common in most Cypress verities. You need to pinch each and every browning and dried leaves by hand, don't prune the branches because they will never grow back. Keep in partial sunlight. If possible spray plant with any diluted anti fungal solutions. If upper leaves are green and not degrading then plant will regrow in growing season. Meanwhile reduce watering cycles, water only when top one inch of the soil feels dry to touch.
      Hope it will help.

      If all leaves has fallen and thin branches are becoming dry or mushy, it means that your plants is having root rot. In this case You need to uproot your plant and examin that are roots soggy, if you see all healthy roots then just grow it back, but if you notice soggy and dead roots cut them all and follow the process according to the video.
      Don't hesitate to root pruning rubber plants are heardy fellows, it will regrow its roots.

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому +14

      Zz palm degrades mostly due to root rot which is caused by over watering, if leaves are turning yellow and branches are rotting, and becoming mushy its a root rot. Pull out plant from pot, and wash the root ball throughout and remove soil completely. if you notice rotting or soggy or mushy rhizomes Start by cutting out all the the rotted root. Leave healthy root intact, but be thorough with any diseased part. Wash it again, dip it in hydrogen peroxide 3.0 solution as shown in video Apply any fungicide or cinnamon powder on the cuts and whole root ball.
      Choose a new pot, wash and dry the pot thoroughly. Use fresh well drained soil, re-pot and water sparingly allowing the pot to dry between watering. And follow the method shown in video.
      You may be able to save the plant.
      Hope it will help.

    An awesome video with only necessary information and no chitchat. I have a question about the hydrogen peroxide step. After you soaked the roots in hydrogen peroxide did you wash the roots or did you re-pot the plant directly into the soil? Based on your scientific explanation I want to say directly into the soil, but wanted to check with you first. I am trying to revive a dried out coffee plant that a colleague left at work before the shut-down due to COVID-19. The poor plant did not get any water for about 1.5 months! All its leaves have fallen off but when I cut a stem, there is some chlorophyll containing greenery in the stem. Thank you again for posting an awesome video.

    • @BonsaiandGardeningZone
      @BonsaiandGardeningZone  4 роки тому +1

      Hi, you need to report it directly to the soil after hydrogen peroxide dip as its coating will stop further infection in roots.
      Don't do this procedure to an undre watering damaged plant, specially in hash summer. Dropped leaves doesn’t mean that your plant is dying, if it is still green from inside, leaves will grow back again. Just cut the fully dried branches.
      Keep the soil moist but not soggy.
      Avoid over watering.
      remember, no leaves, less watering.
      Keep plant in partial shade during hash summer.
      When you see new leaves, start giving 2-3 hours of morning sunlight.
      Hope it will help.
      Thanks for watching 😊.
