I recently went to your website to look at some Sears catalogs, but the scans were quite pixelated. Why is that? By comparison, the scans shown on your videos are of a higher quality.
Excellent question. The answer is bandwidth and cost: The website has a limited, fixed outbound bandwidth from a privately hosted server. Smaller, lower resolution images can only be served from the website due to that limitation. Other higher-speed hosting options, such as from Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure are not possible due to higher hosting costs. However, higher resolution videos of the catalog images can be put on UA-cam because it is being hosted by UA-cam at no cost.
