Welp, was about to do this over the weekend, but this definitely one of the more advance DIY for this car that I seen. May take me many hours or days to do this without the problem equipment. Probably better to get it to a pro.

You can get an impact on the lower ball joint nut if you disconnect the upper control arm and tie rod. Should swing down and give the necessary room.

Great video, and thank you for making a tutorial on the Ball Joint replacement. I have an R350 which I think the front Ball Joint is same procedure. Question on the numerous sprays of the copper anti-seize, especially on all the ball joints from tie rod ends outer, and lower control arms. Shouldnt there be Loctite on the ends of the bolt of ball joints that is locked on by a nut. Loctite has a huge tutorial on why it is important to use medium blue Loctite in many applications especial on suspension. Thanks for making amazing How To's

Great tutorial/instruction/presentation. However, incorrect use/application of WD40 throughout. It's neither a solvent nor a penetrating oil. There exist many better choices for each task.

What mm/size is the ball joint puller?

It can be done without removing the spindle. Nut off. Then press/hammer out the old one , then press the new one in using the nut. You can get a Dana 60 4wd axle socket for the nut but it can be done with a hammer and punch in one of the notches. Ask me how i know! Lol
