I’ll be honest I don’t wanna lie here I’ve had roughly 2-3 cigarettes in total in these 2 months. Not because I need it or my body wants it, it’s just to have that taste I love. I only done it because I can now control myself, I literally never feel to have a cigarette it’s all under control like that. Thank you so much. Smoking has to become illegal. I do not understand how smoking can be legal, if it evidently causes addiction and cancer as a consequence.
Thanks for this video. I'm currently at the point where I want to quit smoking but I feel like it's the hardest thing I will ever have to do. Hopefully, I'll figure out the true secret to quitting if there is one.
What works for me is getting more active. If you feel a desire to smoke then go for a run it works everytime. If you don't run you will simply just cave in. Go for a run
Both my parents were smokers and i smoked from 13 to 35. I look back at those times really with contempt and i cant believe it even myself. Cigarettes and Nicotine burrowed themselves into every corner of my life and i could not even function without them. I was a total addict. A cigarette, after a meal, a cigarette with coffee, a cigarette when talking on the phone, a cigarette while driving the car... A cigarette when taking a shower (dont ask..), A cigarette after taking a shower, because "that" was an "accomplishment". The brain and reasoning of an addict. As others have said and it is really the truth... Now being clean and sober from Nicotine i don't understand how i could been that addicted in the first place. Stopping smoking was the best and smartest decision i ever made for myself. Bare none. The thing is like with all addictions. You have to want it yourself. Good luck!
I’ve recently quit and the thing is, it’s mostly mental. Most of us know we need to quit or know we should but we truly don’t want to. I posted my first video about this and it’s simply me e planning how I brgan to change my life. Quitting cigarettes was a part of my desire to make better choices and change into a better version of myself. If you want you can go watch and let me know what you think.
Yes but unfortunately we do what our society do,in my circle mostly the people are smokers ,now if iam want to quitting smoking i think its so hard because once we hangout with them the temptation to smoke again is so strong so i really really confused what to do,and u think vaping is better than smoke cigs?
I turned 28 this year . I was smoking cigarettes since I was 19 but it got worst when I was 25. I was doing 10 cigarettes a day . A pack in 2 days. Sometimes I would end up doing 14 cigarettes a day. I would wake up with phglem and mucus every God damn day and it got bad day by day Well just last Friday on may 7th 2021 , I had a major asthma attack. I had mild asthma throughout my later 20s starting around when I was 27 so not to long ago. My asthma attack was so bad I couldn't breathe. I legit could not breathe. I was wheezing and everything. This was obviously from cigarettes and up until Friday I was doing them like nothing . Friday at 10pm was my wake up call. Went to the hosptial and took like 4 puffers and went back home and since than I've been cigarettes free. 72 hours in. And I am confident enough that I won't ever do it again. You guys can do it me
@@GrecoLefteris I started smoking again very soon after I originally gave up, but gave up a couple of months ago and haven't had any pangs to smoke again. I gave up for about five years prior to that so I think I can do it again. :)
I'm only 3 days in and I will say making your mind up to quit is the easy part, it's the withdrawal that is the hard part. I felt like my brain was lagging and a weird tension feeling in my neck. I cheated and smoked one felt amazing to be honest. But I bought some nicotine to help me out, cold turkey is not for me felt really out of it.
Thank you for the video. When my Grandfather came to live with us and was getting chemotherapy and dying of lung cancer, he asked me to buy him cigarettes even as he was dying of lung cancer, he even tried buying it himself, I am no friend of tobacco.
I set my home screen a motivational photo So every time I look at my phone I remember to stay strong Btw I am almost 17 I’ve been smoking since I was 15 now I completely quit Fuck Tobacco
The sooner the better. I was 12 when I started. Worst decision I ever made. I really need to quit. Probably have cancer by now. I cough my head off daily. Ugh...quit while you can!
22 years heavy smoker, quit for 35 days today. very difficult. i think the key is to 'get prepared for boredom'. the first few days i felt absolute boredom, nothing to do, what to do now? , something is terribly missing, always want a cigarette, dont want to get up, and life is very meaningless. to be ready to live in this boredom was my biggest helper i believe. it is a war and the weapon that is fighting you and attacking you every day is 'boredom'. you need to be prepared for it, and you wont be able to destroy it, just be ready to face it every day and do not say i give up. it will keep coming every minute probably. no problem, just stand your ground.
16 days over but still having headache, stomach pain and insomnia. God knows when they will last but am gonna do it. (Did it cold turkey without any patches and all)
Day 3 myself so nothing to rave about, just struggle with sleeping at night...tossing and turning for hours and end up falling asleep due to exhaustion. Sure it’ll get easier after a week
My step father & my Ustaz also smoking, my workers also smoking, my sombodies boss also smoking, my Freinds who is an army & police also smokers,& the wastua (oldies surrounding neighborhood area),some women (my younger step sister also smokers) ,AADK staf also a smokers, but this year I'll will get some Madrasah or hostel or Room in my mom house or etc that have new mahmudah situation & condition to helping myself get disciplines in reducing the tobacco cigarettes taking/daily by THE SCHEDULE of smoking after eating foods, thanks you Doctors.
Day 19 of quitting smoking. Nicotine gum helps significantly. Counting the number of days quit in my head also helped significantly. I can feel , taste, see, smell better than ever before. Thoughts are still scattered but there are mental benefits with less anxiety and better sleep and positive emotions associated with focusing here and there.
@@indoroyale7848 gum that makes you vomit is probably expired so make sure it's not expired. I also prefer fruit flavored nice gum of a brand called thrive and not the cheapest alternative as some pharmacies usually have like here that would be President's choice brand. 4 or 2mg suffices, anything higher is probably nasty. Maybe an alternative could be a nicotine patch right? The goal is to indefinitely reduce the amount of toxins as well as cigs per day then try to ween out of smoking all together. Exercise and diet are two things that help greatly as well, even if it's light exercise. And anti anxiety breathing technique. Practice a couple times a day, for 3 minutes each time. Inhale 5 levels of air to maximum capacity. Hold for 3 seconds then exhale 5 levels back, rest and repeat. This is a certified technique that shields us from panic attacks but it also opens the lungs and helps our respiratory system. Hope that helps, if the gum for whatever reason is still awful for you, opt to chew regular gum and just work on reducing the amount that you smoke. Then start working out and choose that progression over time.
So I got a call from mom today and she told me she saw this dream of me dying from smoking ciggies. I decided tonight for like my 7th time of quitting to quit. I'm doing this for my mom's happiness as I don't care about my wellbeing as much as my mom does. Day 1: I have done it :) I will update this in 21 days. There are many components to quitting smoking including eg motivation and support from friends. One plan I found that successfully combines these is the Quit Smoking Crusher (check it out on google) definately the most incredible plan that I've heard of. look at the site and unbelievable reviews.

I agree wholeheartedly that quitting smoking cigarettes is a great idea. Cigarettes are very bad for your health, not to mention staining hands and teeth and also its a money consumer. Smoking becomes addictive which makes your body want it when it gets that urge and also feel bad withdraw symptoms without them. I believe you should have some sort of routine or schedule or substitute medication prescribed from a doctor that will help ease these symptoms to get thru a positive and not that bad "quitting smoking" routine. I also believe that for everyone it should be everyone's own decision to make whether they want to quit smoking or not. Its a bad habit but its part of life.
This is just superb, been searching for "help for quitting smoking" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Mackorny Smoking Escape Blueprint - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy got excellent results with it.
You're overlooking the fact that Tobacco is an herb with medicinal value. Just ask the Indians who used it for centuries for its medicinal value. But back then there were no cigarettes, they'd just chew it, sniff it and drink it. I make my own cigarettes with natural tobacco and won't smoke the cancer sticks from the store.
The way I've handled my addiction was to have a pack of smokes in my pocket and knowing that I have them there is a reason for me to stop for some reason. And living in Australia is the worst as well with the price of cigs being 40 to 60 bucks. So having them in my pocket for this reason along just reminds me of the addiction, mental and physical health it could have on me. Been going for 7 days straight now. Wish me luck
I went through a can of zyn a day. I knew I would quit one day. A buddy said I wouldn't be able to quit, don't tell me what I can't do. I finished my can and never looked back. Don't be weak, make the decision and stick with it.
Unless you have friends that smoke, I would recommend to not tell ppl. If your friends dont smoke then theres no reason for them to know u're quitting. Its just a distraction when ur friends are all like "oh good, bla bla bla" and u start to feel like they're counting on you which is annoying. Just quit and keep it to yourself for a week or two, at that point a most of the urge is gone.
Biggest mistake I ever made, was to quit smoking. I got fat. I gained 140 pounds. I struggled with diet and exercise but I could not stop the weight from coming on. I went from a slim 135 all the way up to a big fat pot bellied 275. That's right, I almost made it to 300. So I went back to 2 packs a day, but wouldn't you know, I've only lost about 12 pounds so far. I still think if I smoke for another 2 or 3 years, my weight will finally come back down again. Had I known I was going to get fat like this, you best believe, I would have never quit smoking the first time, and on top of that, quitting was very tough for me to do
I am down there too. Wanna get out for good. I stress, I smoke. I face a challenge, I smoke. My feelings change, I smoke. I drink, I smoke. I smoke. I want out!!!
You're addicted to the medicinal properties of Tobacco, which, by the way, is classified as an herb. The Indians used Tobacco for its medicinal values for centuries.
ive tried everything advised...ive tried reading a book, going on long walks in the country parks, go swimming but still no avail....ive even asked for jesus to help me but still no good
I'm 74, been smoking for 57 years, I have emphysema and will continue to smoke. overlooked, Tobacco is an herb with medicinal properties, just ask the Indians who used it for centuries for its medicinal benefits. If you're going to continue to smoke, do like I do, I make my own cigarettes with the empty filter tubes and with organic, natural tobacco. Would never buy the cancer sticks from the store.

As others have said and it is really the truth... Now being clean and sober from Nicotine i don't understand how i could been that addicted in the first place. Stopping smoking was the best and smartest decision i ever made for myself. Bare none.
The thing is like with all addictions. You have to want it yourself.

@@jays5186 Read "Easyway to quit smoking" by Allen Carr. It helps a good bit

You have any alternatives because when I tried gum I vomited and this will drive me crazy how did you manage your first week

I smoke.

You're addicted to the medicinal properties of Tobacco, which, by the way, is classified as an herb. The Indians used Tobacco for its medicinal values for centuries.

Here is what I learned. Look at the posts below. They say things like .

Don't turn quitting into this big "challenge" .
Cigarettes do NOTHING FOR YOU. This is what I learned .

It TEACHES you that cigarettes do NOTHING for you and you can quit without the willpower.
Look it up. It has sold million of copies. Even Anthony Hopkins quit with it.
You won't be able to quit smoking if you actually don't want to. I've been smoking for like 10 years and I should have quit years ago. I wanna start running again so this time i quit for good.
If i could only show you what it did to my parents and the life they lived after they got ill... It was not a "happy retirement".
I'm here because I'm on day 2 of my attempt at quitting smoking and I'm gasping for a cigarette!
I've been a fairly heavy smoker for the past 12 years. 2 days ago, after a cigarette, I genuinely thought I was having a heart attack. I'm 27 years old. It was the scariest experience of my life. Fingers crossed, this was enough to stop me picking up a cigarette, ever again.
I always thought 'Ahh, these things will never happen to me, I enjoy smoking'. I wish I listened to the 'stupid adults' when I was a teen.
