The advice in this video on how to stop just doesn’t work. Relying on will power is a terrible way to do it. You can’t just deprive yourself of something you want for the rest of your life. You have to learn to not want it. The biggest realization for me was that nicotine didn’t actually make me feel happy, or less stressed, or anything. It was just getting me out of withdrawals. For a few minutes after smoking I felt like a non smoker. And then 15 minutes after that I would go through withdrawals again and feel like a damn addict. And the only thing keeping me in this situation was the last hit off my vape. It’s stupid. Once I decided that it did nothing for me and I didn’t want it, quitting was easy. 3 uncomfortable days as the nicotine left my system and then super easy since then.
