Love your honesty, Christopher. I have learnt so much from you. The people who comment, "You hoard all the nice coins," are just disillusioned. They have probably been trying to find a Kew Gardens for years and never have. They see you have found 2-3? Over 4 + years and think they're hard done buy. Lol. The time you have spent going through BAGS of coins and explaining every interesting detail to look out for is pretty amazing. If you worked a job at £2 per hour, you still would have earned enough to buy more Kews at Ebay prices. Fantastic collection, Sir.

There is a difference between collecting and hoarding you can judge for yourself and balance that against your conscience for people who are collecting and do not have your affluence. This is a simple point and not an attack on you or your impressive and highly valuable collection

Wow what a collection - I have been watching you for a couple of years - my collection pales into insignificance compared to yours. I used to collect coins namely shillings in the early 70’s but gave up after a couple of months. Then in 2016 I started collecting £2 and 50ps - I soon gave up on the £2’s to concentrate on 50p’s. I love collecting coins find it therapeutic and fun. Keep up the good work Christopher ! 😊
I appreciate the massive effort you’ve put into making this collection video and you have undoubtedly some fantastic coins. You don’t need to justify what you decide to keep, it’s your collection. In just 4 years it’s impressive!! I hope you get your FA CUP soon. Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
Mother in law collected the £1 variants, I could not really see why, think we spent them , might have a few in a box somewhere, they are heavy when in bags.
I was 10 when the Olympic games happened in London. Those commemorative 50p pieces were everywhere. I remember regularly sorting through my mum's purse and asking her if I could keep the "special" ones. I stored them in a box somewhere and only just recently tracked it down again after watching your videos. It turns out I have the offside, archery, basketball, horse jumping and a couple more.
I am deeply impressed by not only the size and width of your collection,but the time and dedication needed to arrange it all to show in a video. I would love to see your chest of oddities and also the territries would make another great video.- However I don't expect it anytime soon as I imagine it must have taken a good 30 to 50 hours of sorting and arranging before completing the video ( not including editing !).

For people who are confused. Bunk means brilliant uncirculated. I found the best source for new unc coins is vending machines in a gov't facility. They get so much use, that the employee filling the machines must get coins from the bank. Find a high use machine that still takes coins. Use the largest note the machine will take and buy the cheapest item. Often the change will be in all coin. This is not for mass collecting, but for casual collecting. Try not to travel distances to get to a machine. If you are nearby, this works.

The £5 at 11:28 actually has a difference to the original as well. The original is milled, whereas the variety with the postcards has an edge inscription which reads "SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE". You haven't "got problems", Christopher 😂!
I recently got a bit carried away on eBay and have amassed quite a volume of world coins and have had to force myself to stop and do a bit of organisation before I end up swimming in them, I understand why you wouldn't want to do a whole world coin collection but I would be very interested to see how you'd go about organising yours when you get around to it.

Just one question, some of your books have empty spaces, but you seam to have the coins in the white cardboard packets, why are the books not completed if possible? Not in to coin collection myself, but I can’t stop watching, willing you to find that next Kew, in a therapeutic fashion. And I had no idea there was so many different design until I started viewing your channel.
I'd never seen a £25 coin or some of the others. I gave up trying to collect the 10p's & just stick to 50p's & £2 coins now. I normally pick up £2k+ each week but been laid up for the last few weeks. I'm collecting for my daughter & granddaughter any tips you can give would be helpful. 👍 Thanks

Great video. Only 2 suggestions...... I get the Christopher (ironside) thing but I'd probably knock them down to 100 and stop collecting them further. It has to stop somewhere. Secondly, I'd keep a certain number of Shakespeare sets and then stop collecting them further. Yes, they still just about get a little bit more than FV but that will end... Otherwise, any number you keep of the others is fully justified imo.

After finding out about errors do you go back and check all the coins from older books. Like when the Kitchener mule was discovered did you excitedly go through all your books etc hoping that some you had in books or flips etc might have one?

Where do I find these capsules you use for the 50p coins? The round ones with the white "frame" around? I can only find the heptagon shaped ones, but I think the bigger round ones with the frame look much nicer.
WOW amazing change collection, anyone can do it, I get £100 of coins every day from the post office, it doesn't cost me anything, just have to be chatty to the post workers and bank workers

After finding out about errors do you go back and check all the coins from older books. Like when the Kitchener mule was discovered did you excitedly go through all your books etc hoping that some you had in books or flips etc might have one?

Where do I find these capsules you use for the 50p coins? The round ones with the white "frame" around? I can only find the heptagon shaped ones, but I think the bigger round ones with the frame look much nicer.
WOW amazing change collection, anyone can do it, I get £100 of coins every day from the post office, it doesn't cost me anything, just have to be chatty to the post workers and bank workers

Well done Christopher on four years of Christopher Collects, you’ve got a very very nice collection of silver and BUNC’s. As for the rest the whole idea of being a coin collector is to collect and keep coins but it is becoming a bit of a hoard. Anyway keep up the good work and the new job suits you to a tee.

Watched every minute of this video, and loved every minute of it as well, you have made me a little jealous but what the heck, coin collectors have got to collect. To those who don't think that you should have as many duplicate coins as you have, well they can take a flying leap (with parachute, I'm not that nasty) off the top of the tallest build in the world. Well done on your collection Christopher, loved every minute. If the actor Sid James was a collector and was still with us I'm sure that he would say, 'Carry On Collecting' and end it with one of his trademark laughs.
I came across your videos a while back, the first time I've seen this one.
I have one of the first issue Olympics aquatics 50p's, I got it in my change shortly after it was issued. It's the one with the obscured swimmer.
I've seen a few sell online but for wildly different prices. Have you any idea how much it is worth in fine circulated condition?
