I’ve been having a pretty hard time of it recently plus a full on week so was a little worried how I’d spend my time this evening and thought to myself well at least I’ll have my 15 mins of Christopher only to realise I have a glorious three quarters in an hour! Thank you, you have been the calm in the storm for me recently and it is much appreciated.

Incredible collection. I watched the video from start to finish, as I have for all your videos for years. I’m glad you stuck up for yourself will preempting any boneheads giving you grief for doing what a coin collector does; collect coins. The vastness of your collection speaks so highly of your passion for coin collecting and anyone that says anything negative towards another’s passion clearly has a sad life. Keep up the amazing work and can’t wait to see the next video next year!

Keep on collecting, Christopher. I thought I would skip around but I watched the whole video from start to finish. Whilst watching, I realized that I've been watching your coin collecting for at least 3+ years now. I collect vicariously through you, Christopher, as I am in the U.S. and don't have access to your UK finds. Please keep on collecting and saving. (I laughed when you mentioned the 2008 50p count!)
Well if they don't like you Christopher they would hate me, I have what you have and more But then again I've had 50 years of collecting under my belt....
What a collection , What a channel , 4 years and counting , What a person interesting and funny , with 62 k viewers , well done , and a Dream job you deserve .
I was 10 when the Olympic games happened in London. Those commemorative 50p pieces were everywhere. I remember regularly sorting through my mum's purse and asking her if I could keep the "special" ones. I stored them in a box somewhere and only just recently tracked it down again after watching your videos. It turns out I have the offside, archery, basketball, horse jumping and a couple more.

Mother in law collected the £1 variants, I could not really see why, think we spent them , might have a few in a box somewhere, they are heavy when in bags.

Wow what a collection - I have been watching you for a couple of years - my collection pales into insignificance compared to yours. I used to collect coins namely shillings in the early 70’s but gave up after a couple of months. Then in 2016 I started collecting £2 and 50ps - I soon gave up on the £2’s to concentrate on 50p’s. I love collecting coins find it therapeutic and fun. Keep up the good work Christopher ! 😊

Really been looking forward to this video and it was well worth the wait great video. I think the title of the channel says it all Christopher COLLECTS it's your money and your collection as long as your happy with it ignore the negative comments. Awesome collection some stunning designs especially the silver proof coins they really show off the designs on the coins. The 2020 £1 coin is in circulation had a few now.

I am deeply impressed by not only the size and width of your collection,but the time and dedication needed to arrange it all to show in a video. I would love to see your chest of oddities and also the territries would make another great video.- However I don't expect it anytime soon as I imagine it must have taken a good 30 to 50 hours of sorting and arranging before completing the video ( not including editing !).

I recently got a bit carried away on eBay and have amassed quite a volume of world coins and have had to force myself to stop and do a bit of organisation before I end up swimming in them, I understand why you wouldn't want to do a whole world coin collection but I would be very interested to see how you'd go about organising yours when you get around to it.

For people who are confused. Bunk means brilliant uncirculated.
I found the best source for new unc coins is vending machines in a gov't facility. They get so much use, that the employee filling the machines must get coins from the bank. Find a high use machine that still takes coins. Use the largest note the machine will take and buy the cheapest item. Often the change will be in all coin.
This is not for mass collecting, but for casual collecting. Try not to travel distances to get to a machine. If you are nearby, this works.

That is one heck of a collection!!! I'm very jealous of all the flopsy bunnies tho, I'd sell a kidney to get one of those 😂 (but only if I could get a Shakespeare tragedies thrown in too, they're the only 2 coins I need to complete both those sets!)

There is a difference between collecting and hoarding you can judge for yourself and balance that against your conscience for people who are collecting and do not have your affluence. This is a simple point and not an attack on you or your impressive and highly valuable collection

The £5 at 11:28 actually has a difference to the original as well. The original is milled, whereas the variety with the postcards has an edge inscription which reads "SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE". You haven't "got problems", Christopher 😂!

I'd never seen a £25 coin or some of the others. I gave up trying to collect the 10p's & just stick to 50p's & £2 coins now. I normally pick up £2k+ each week but been laid up for the last few weeks. I'm collecting for my daughter & granddaughter any tips you can give would be helpful. 👍 Thanks
Where do I find these capsules you use for the 50p coins? The round ones with the white "frame" around? I can only find the heptagon shaped ones, but I think the bigger round ones with the frame look much nicer.

Always wondered if you reopen old books and top up with later issued coins, surprised you don’t tbh, keep collections complete.

After finding out about errors do you go back and check all the coins from older books. Like when the Kitchener mule was discovered did you excitedly go through all your books etc hoping that some you had in books or flips etc might have one?

I have one of the first issue Olympics aquatics 50p's, I got it in my change shortly after it was issued. It's the one with the obscured swimmer.
I've seen a few sell online but for wildly different prices. Have you any idea how much it is worth in fine circulated condition?

Great video. Only 2 suggestions...... I get the Christopher (ironside) thing but I'd probably knock them down to 100 and stop collecting them further. It has to stop somewhere. Secondly, I'd keep a certain number of Shakespeare sets and then stop collecting them further. Yes, they still just about get a little bit more than FV but that will end... Otherwise, any number you keep of the others is fully justified imo.
Do you not keep your territory 50ps ? i have too many and deciding if i should try and sell the ones i dont want or bank them. i wouldnt get rid of all as some really nice isle of man and gibralter ones, but i think i have like 50 jersy 50ps, lol. interesting to know if they worth keeping or not.

Tremendous number of circulating commemorative coins.
Just one question, some of your books have empty spaces, but you seam to have the coins in the white cardboard packets, why are the books not completed if possible?
Not in to coin collection myself, but I can’t stop watching, willing you to find that next Kew, in a therapeutic fashion. And I had no idea there was so many different design until I started viewing your channel.

Even though you are right to do what you choose.. I do think there is no need to be keeping 80 plus coins when they could help another person collect the same coins.. nobody need to keep that amount of the same coins.
