Static, static - there's no rest for a machine. Only circles and lines in my binary mind. I fade to static. Harvesting synapses in my dreams. I breathe, choke, let it go - but the fear never left when I slept alone so I'm fading to static in the disconnect.
Now I know it's delusion - in love with the slow demise.
We're all numb in the hum of progress.
Borrowed light, a parasite, I fed on the dusk and hid myself from the night. And we don't speak we barely hear, I watched you watch me disappear as I'm
fading to static in the disconnect.
Now I know it's delusion - in love with our slow demise. Be still and human. Breathe in and be consumed
It's always red the static in my head. It's always red the static in my head. It's always red the static in my head. It's always red the static in my head.
Return to the hands of time, there's nothing human in this room of white.
Be still as the noise divides us. Be still as the noise divides us.

Forever in love with this band.
Only Silent Planet can restore your hope in heavy music in 2020. 1:06 into the chorus literally left me speechless. Bands should take notes and get ready for a genre-defining album. Thank you Silent Planet for truly caring deeply for your creative craftsmanship.
this may be my favourite song they’ve ever done, and i’ve been a fan for about 5 years now. this song really does tick all the boxes despite the lyrics not being formed in their usual research paper kinda form. that may be why i like it so much. (i do love the very in depth songs they do lots and lots too).
so much respect to garrett for showing nothing but perseverance and resilience in his trials with mental health. in so so many ways he is an incredible role model to me.
03:14 breakdown 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely blown away. Happy Trilogy Day everyone.
It's been over a year since this song came out and I still haven't recovered from that breakdown
Don't mind me, just leaving a comment to look back on in 10 years
That's pretty much why I leave every comment I do, when I come back to these songs I'll be like "Damn 16 year old me had good taste"
Or maybe I'll think I listened to garbage we'll find out in ten years I guess
Same, February 18, 2020 🤟🏽

@@TeddyCat2007 03 I turned 17 last month tho and for some reason forgot I wasn't 16 anymore 😂
Looks like Trilogy and their latest song "Terminal" are connected, this video starts the exact same way as the Terminal video ends. What a band!
Probably one of the best choruses they've ever written and that breakdown at the end? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Great job boys! Love you guys!
"It's always red ..."
This really is a Valentine's Day song!
How have I only just found these guys? The composition is beautiful....on hour two of listening to their material and I'm hooked.
That drop blew my house up, thanks
So much to say about this track, I can listen through on repeat and marvel over a different part each time, it’s incredible everywhere but what I love is how the chorus makes me feel, especially the second time around. Difficult to describe. ❤️
Garrett is an absolutely amazing front man, the story that he paints with his words is seriously unmatched. His lows, those half way screams too.. Goddamn it I just found my new favorite band
I've been listening to you guys since When the End Began. I then discovered even more of your music. Each track gets better and better. Love you guys!Rock on and God Bless!
Everything was sound is a solid album too

Silent Planet isn’t a band. They’re an experience.
It's odd not seeing any annotations in the description box
Garrett said on Twitter he wrote it when he was checked into a institution (of some sort, he has bad mental health issues). He said this one wasn't going to be a research paper like his other songs. It's more from direct experience I guess!
Wait a day or so. They always post them later.
Stephen Casey yea but it’s still odd xD
@@StephenIC Oh ok lol. I remember him posting about checking himself in, but not that he wouldn't add so many. Glad to see he's doing better. Thanks for the info!
Joseph Bastidas supposedly he wrote the lyrics from his head in one day and comes directly from his own experiences, hence no annotations.
2 years later and the build up to the breakdown still gives me goosebumps and then his RETURN TO THE HANDS OF TIME still rattles my spine. 10/10
That's the best breakdown ive heard in years without a doubt.
Whelp that's it, the best song of the decade was released a month and a half into the decade.
It's heavy as hell, melodic, complex and just what you expect from this band.
Well done slant plant
Definitely a hard tie between the new August Burns Red song for me.

One of the greatest and most unforgettable metalcore bands of the last 10-15 years. Can't even believe this video hasn't reached 1M yet. If any of you that haven't already seen this band live ever get the chance, don't pass it up. I didn't know this band until I saw them live in 2016, and it was probably the most life-changing experience I've ever had with a band.
That lead up at 2:49 then forward into the breakdown is sick! YES!!
"IT'S ALWAYS RED! THE STATIC IN MY HEAD!

Silent planet, Dealer EP, Polaris all on the same day. I may be single on Valentine's, but these releases are making me feel loved 🥰
Reflections, Bury Tomorrow singles as well as a new Suicide Silence album.
This song blew my mind in a similar way to Crystal Lake’s Aeon. It’s crazy good.
Whoever is in charge of marketing this song needs to step it up, there is literally no excuse for this not having a million + views by now, the metal fanbase isn't dead yet.
This is a deep cut. For those who know the story behind it this is a great way to potray it in video form. The guitars are nuts. The drums are heavy. I wish the chorus was a little longer personally but Thomas and Garrett fucking slayed!!!
Be still and be human, breathe in and be consumed.
What’s the story behind it?
They played this at the castle in Bloomington this past weekend. Never heard of them before that. Can't stop listening now. He explained why he wrote this song and I just have so much respect for the singer.great shit guys
This song seems to have a strong connection with Everything Was Sound. Garrett also heavily implies noise as a division, more of like the chaotic nature society has like politics, crime, and many controversial things. Since there are no footnotes, this is more of Garrett saying that he doesn't know what to do with this knowledge of chaoticness in the world and he can't stop knowing it. I also believe Garrett is implying three songs or albums on how they're connected, in other words, what he's felt through these certain albums into one song
It's more or less a combination (or rather a _culmination_) of what he has learned from the last 3 albums being released, yeah... when the world goes dark and you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, everything becomes static. That's what it was probably like for him during his time in the ward and his desire to break away from it ("there's nothing human in this room of white").
That's some deep stuff.
August Burns Red: We have the best breakdown this side of 2020.
Silent Planet: No
LOL... Idk... Big ABR fan here and it's a hard tie for me 😂
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Time for you to decide, right here right now.
As a huge ABR fan i stil have to admit this breakdown is just way better/heavier. Some of us wont even survive this breakdown in the pit...
lmaoo ABR breakdowns can't hold a candle to Silent Planet's breakdowns. And I love ABR, but it's the truth.
Code orange has the best breakdown though 🤷♂️
Instant fucking gold.
The lyrics are perfectly streamlined.
The sound is progressed at all the best key moments.
The vocals have improved all around.
This is the best compressed format of what these boys have been doing that I’ve ever heard from them.
Bro’s... *smacks you all on the ass*
We are all ready for this album.
After reading the backstory of this and listening to it and really dissecting the lyrics, this song now hold a super special place in my heart.
FUCKING THICC RIFFS. Already one of my favourite Silent Planet songs.
absolute geniuses for connecting this all together
Okay wow this is good, I actually really enjoy the chorus. The stop-start nature of the track is awesome, combined with the stellar production
Be still, as the noise divides. I feel like at a time when we all seem so divided and pitted against each other, this song helps show how we need one another and we are more similar than different
The best gift for Valentines day
by far one of the better band of our generation! So underrated! This band is perfection in my eye but, Garrett and his lyrics.... my god.. You are an angel
That... That is how you evolve a new sound. That was incredible.
Best song so far of 2020. This is what we all need right now. We are all have pent up energy and this is our release. Beautiful piece of musical and visual art.

Song of the Year withour question, well freaking done guys
good to hear music where you can tell the artists actually cared and truly give their everything to each song, hell yeah boys, sounds fresh
I remember when my boy showed me this band back in 2016, and next year we went to Warped Tour and Silent Planet was playing. Nobody really knew them so that stage was kind of empty. I shit you not, literally every single person that walked by that heard them stopped and by the time their set was done it was like the way people gathered for a headliner, they had such applause and fucking killed the show.
Years later, (2019) I move to West Palm Beach and see them again in Fort Lauderdale, and nobody clapped at the beginning or anything as nobody knew who they were. They came out with "Panic Room" and peoples phones lit up as you can see everyone was like "YO HOW THE FUCK WE DONT KNOW THEM" and it was my 3rd time seeing them. Just as amazing as the first. Garrett is truly on point as the rest of the band when it comes to playing live. Absolutely worth seeing them in person from the time they started to now.
And this song fucking destroys nonetheless
Other this song being absolutely amazing. Can we just point out how great the name “Silent planet” is for a band
Garrett named the band after the book series by C.S. Lewis Out of the Silent Planet
Absolutely unbelievable. I don't know of any band who continuously one ups themselves. I've seen so many of my favorite bands plateau, but the SP boys. New favorite song for sure. Wow.
My god, you guys really outdid yourselves
Man this fucking band is so good. They have grown on me so much. They are also fantastic live. I had goose bumps the whole show, and i was mind blown.
It’s been a year and a half since this masterpiece was released. Such an amazing band, I hope they release a new album soon.

Oh my god this is amazing. I didn’t know how y’all could keep getting better but here we are.
Ahhh man that static verse made me really fall in love with this song
This song made me walk into a busy intersection and start doing a wushu-windmill
WOW! Why did I overlooked this gem of a song and band. That BREAKY at the end, wow. amazing. Underrated.

This is what passion for music and loving what you do looks like!...craftsmanship and excellence...also, when the darkest part of your struggle becomes light and hope to others, now that is ministry...thanks Garrett! God bless you and the band man!
Absolutely some of the best music out there.
You guys are in a league all your own.
Still the best breakdown I've ever heard. Especially with the surround sound it shook my entire house and the 2nd phase of the breakdown made me cream all over my tv
In. Sane. This is their best song to date imo.
Literally the best metal band in existence
Heard this live in my home town of chicago it was an eargasm
That's perfectly wonderful. BTW, I discovered your band through Garret's interview with Harper
Dude how the hell do they keep getting better with each release? Holy jeebus
Mind blowing! The chorus, the breakdown, the lyric, the concept, the vibes, for fuck's sake! I love this!
Anyone come here directly after watching the Terminal video?
27 years on this Earth and I've never encountered a band that continuously raises the bar with every release. The last record's lyrics were literally a composition of quotes from a variety of literature and homie had a works cited section like who the fuck does that???? NO ONE BUT OUR BOYS FROM SILENT PLANET.
This is really gonna help with my presentation over C.S. Lewis tomorrow.
How'd it go???
I think this is my favorite song/video released by any band in the last decade. Holy absolute shit. This band is magic.
This just is so good! SP really mastered their sound while still sounding fresh
Mix sounds awesome on this, Alex bring so much groove! Truly drive the band in my opinion, and the vocals sounds better than ever!
Hope a new record is on the way!
This is easily the most honest, raw, and powerful song these folks have written.
The New Eternity has begun.
My dad showed me these guys and I’m impressed. Far different than his usual jam of Kings of Leon.

My new favorite
This is on another level of good. Like stupid good. Idk what that means but dude this song is ridiculous.
That breakdown tho 👌
I am blown away. So happy rn
the Most important band I have had the pleasure of discovering, it's been a real saving grace having a band speak to my soul as well as these boys do, they've got me through some of the darkest times in my life before I was saved, for 8 years I was living the epitome of a meaningless, bottomless, empty life with no real purpose, a slave to his DNA, a cosmic mistake just floating along a cosm of nothingness understanding our fate as we waited to fizzle out and die, a void in my soul as deep and black as the observable universe itself waiting for the inevitable end as we tried to fabricate some type of meaning or purpose for our lives where I could find none, truly I tell you, I saw my death and lived it everyday for most of that period.
here to tell the world that isn't true for me anymore, I'm getting batpized today and letting the world know that the Great Lord Jesus Christ still saves, and if what I said above at all you can relate to, just know that it isn't true, I lived that existence and came back, so can you. Godbless.
Religion is used to fill the void within people who need purpose and couldn't find it. Im not religious, but it's easy to fall into religion when you wander existentially, it's the easy way out. It's comfort in a dark hole. It's the water in the desert, but ends up a mirage.
I used to be religious for years, but only when I started questioning why was when i figured out that no one will save me, or you. My purpose is to help people, I didn't need a god to tell me that.
I hope you find what you're looking for. For the right reason.
@@SuicidalChocolateSK Yeah but we all need to pay our debt to a perfect Father. Jesus paid that debt for you and he wants us all to accept his free gift of salvation. you cant earn it by being "good"
@@SuicidalChocolateSK you started questioning, not because you're smarter than God, but because you started letting the seed of Doubt take root, you probably nutured that thought and stripped yourself of your own faith. the devil works in all kinds of ways.
I appreciate the words of encouragement, but I had absolutely nothing to do with me being saved, except for answering the knock.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelation 3:20)
This is a HUGE track! The genius and talent of these guys is simply overwhelming!
I wish I had a recording of my reaction during the pre-chorus at 1:14.
