"Every Nancy Drew game has had at least one brilliant conversation" I mean, I think the most brilliant dialogue option so far was "May I see that tape again?"
Proud member of the "Nancy Drew was my childhood" club here with more fun facts and tidbits from these games! - When this game came out, TomTom had only been around for a year, so I feel like if Katie hadn't explained what GPS meant, a lot of the kids playing it (myself potentially included) wouldn't have known what that was. Obviously we're all much more aware of what a GPS is/does 20 years later, but it was a relatively new thing for civilians at the time. - Katie's fridge has some very questionable contents. The bottom left is a jellyfish specimen. Her mayonnaise expired in 1994, which was yikes even for when this game was new. The brand of baking soda is Fist & Anvil and the box says "best thing since 2-ply toilet paper." Oh Her Interactive, you sillies. - The sea monster book was written by Liz Ardskin. Hmmm. (The other books have funny authors, too. Cass Elrook wrote the chess one and Anne T Aup wrote the poker one.) - There's a way to get Jenna to give you free chower and/or muffins whenever you visit the cafe. I forget exactly what triggers it, but it's weird that you didn't encounter that. - If you poke that fish in the tide pool enough times (about 25, I think?), you get a little message that says, "Hi, my name is Lumpy and I was created by Kyle Jones and Donovan Larsen." - The dog treat that says "Malone's Bones" you can find while clamming is definitely a reference to Mickey Malone and his ghost dogs, just like the dogs on the calendar. - There's a way to dupe a clam in your inventory so you can skip having to dig for so long, but it can also break the game if you give yourself too many clams. - I didn't verify the voice actors, but I'm almost certain that Casey is also the voice of ~Miles the Magnificent Memory Machine~ from Haunted Carousel. - The emails you get from Hannah and Mr. Drew are hilarious. Hannah talks about all the mess and mishaps going on, meanwhile Mr. Drew is like, "I had a great day! I made food and built stuff and nothing at all went wrong!" lol Also the only real differences between junior and senior detective for this game are that the anagram buster will give you options on junior and make you rearrange the letters yourself on senior, the royal flush panels around the cafe are harder to get in position (one button will also affect another one on senior), and that weird lunchbox Jenna's necklace is in gets way worse. Junior mode has each screen of matches be self-contained but on senior, the match for the carrot on screen one might be on screen three. Gah.
Thanks! Love the fun facts! Just wanted to add that to trigger the clam chowder and muffins: Ask Jenna if Andy Jason ever comes in here, then ask if he comes in often. She’ll say everybody comes in for her clam chowder. Ask her instead of the chowder, if you could try a muffin. Then she’ll give you free muffins and chowder for the rest of the game. Also, Jonah von Spreeken does play Andy Jason and Casey (and Miles, and Harlan Bishop, Shorty Thurmond, Bill Kessler, and the current Frank Hardy)!
2:31:27 -- "Goodbye Caddy!" lol. Casey was an absolute gem. This Nancy was so much fun to watch on the stream, but Nancy upload days are just as cozy and lovely. Really enjoyed this one.
I was about to comment if they had made a mistake in the call to the Drew residence when you fail, when Nancy says "Hey Nancy, it's Hannah", until I realized that she indeed got her head hit pretty hard. Fun detail.
I’ve been really sick for a while so I’ve binging playthroughs of all the Nancy Drew Games and I had just finished all yours… Only to see you post another one! Thank you so much for continuing to play these! Nancy is one of my favorite detective characters of all time, love how kind and eager yet nosy she is.
Gab! My 12 year old son and I have been watching your stuff for YEARS now. ☺ we live right next to the San Juan Islands, (and go there every year for skate trips, Buddy is a badass talented skateboarder) on a huge island called Whidbey Island (the only way here is through Deception Pass Bridge or the ferry systems) So cool to see a game by one of our favorite gamers with reference to our home-space! So rad. This is our first Comment since becoming a member!
I've lived in the pacific northwest my whole life (I'm only about half an hour to the ocean) and this game gets the atmosphere perfect. Its always gloomy here, and orcas are a big deal on the San Juan Islands. This game is so good!
This came at such a good time, I've been having such a bad week with my depression. This is one of my top 5 favorite games, I absolutely LOVE the pacific northwest and this game NAILS the atmosphere perfectly. Thank you so much for this content!!! 💗
GAB< YOU"VE DONE IT AGAIN! It's sunday morning here, just woke up, it's raining outside and I wanted something cozy to watch for a couple hours and BAM, you've posted a Nancy Drew
I get really happy when Gab notices all the connections between the games. Sometimes those little details are lost on people. It’s a random little thing that brings me joy
One of the things I love about your videos is you read everything! Even me, having played most of these games a dozen times, gets lazy and doesn't read everything. But also you don't skip plot! It's part of what makes these games are so fun.
I have probably played each game about 10-20 times and am really enjoying your reactions and thoughts throughout each game. I love that you read absolutely everything. Being dyslexic, I always tried to avoid all the reading if possible but now I’m gaining a bigger appreciation for these games from realizing how good the writing all is. Also, if you want a surprise ending, you should play the haunting of castle Malloy. I was astounding by their creativity in this random story.
I can remember playing this as a kid and it took me forever to find the caves and the second waypoint. I was genuinely surprised when Gab found them so easily!
Fun Orca Facts: Orcas eat seals, whales, fish, squids but also sharks. Sharks such as great whites, makos and bull sharks are eaten by orcas despite that these sharks would eat a baby orca. (I’m forgetting one other man eating shark that also gets eaten by orcas.) A male orca would be found behind the pod while the rest are females as well as mothers with their babies. Orcas are not known for being man eating for they are friendly and keep distance from humans due to those who follow in the aquarium entertainment industry of exploiting them to do tricks in tanks that are the size of human swimming pools. It also causes stress on an orca as well leaving teething marks and injuries outside, loss in appetite and loss in interest which is how one dies. The other reason is due to being mixed with another orcas that are not from the pod and area , they will attack unfamiliar orcas to assert dominance of being the biggest orca. In the wild orcas have never been recorded or seen attacking humans. When they spot a human a surfboard, boat or kayak it’s due to their curiosity and playfulness at times. They will not harm a human. Those in aquariums attack due to the syndrome of being in a small spaced enclosure, assertiveness of other orcas which then leads to aggressive behavior and not doing the tricks trainers will tell them to do. Orcas are also known as the wolves of the sea.
Bruh I slept on Nancy Drew games my whole life, these are surprisingly educational and when watching someone way smarter than you playing them they are also very much enjoyable
I also love to keep clicking on the Ship in a bottle to see how many ways Nancy says “interesting!” I also love how you find everything I never noticed in the games! “Remember, eyes open, mouth shut” I think is a quote from Red Knott from Ghost Dogs.
Im so glad I’m not the only one who finds whale sounds to be absolutely terrifying!when I was about 5 years old my mom took me to Sea World for the first time and I have a very vivid memory of my mom buying me a CD of “Whale Sounds” and when we got home and she played it I started sobbing uncontrollably, just pure horror! I’ve never been the same lol
These always come at the most perfect of times!! January has been so hard thus far, I’m so excited to deep dive into another Nancy Drew playthrough w/ you. Easily my favorite UA-camr/influencer nowadays. Thank you for the continued content! 🖤
I also am a born and raised Puger Sound native. It's not always gloomy here. That's just what we tell people so they won't move here :) personally, I love the free water that falls from the sky!
Now I'm going to have Secret Tunnel stuck in my head all day hahah... Really, though, this series is so calming to my anxiety, I love it so much. Thank you ❤
Whales hearing with their jaws is not as strange as you might think. Our vocal chords and inner ears both evolved from gills (this happened way back in our amphibious reptile ancestors, and passed down not only to reptiles but birds and mammals as well). I can tell you from experience that a pain in your ears can also be felt in your throat, and the other way around, the nervous system there is still very interconnected!
Happy hmm! I love these Nancy Drew adventures, thanks so much for playing these. It brings back such childhood nostalgia of when my sister and I would play these together.
This was my first Nancy Drew game that I ever played. So it is always going to be special to me. It is so nice watching you play this game for the first time. :)
It's so wholesome reading the comments and seeing how everyone's day has been made by this upload ☺️ Count me as one. Had a super stressful day ahead of me and seeing the notification made me smile. Absolute perfect timing.
I honestly couldn't recall much about this one before watching, but as soon as you started kayaking I had a big moment of "oh yeaaaahh!" and it took me back to playing this with my sister. We spent so long kayaking and in the underground tunnels. Honestly, revisiting this one so many years later, it's actually one of my favorite endings out of the entire series. The plot twist with Katie Firestone, the cinematic quality of the whole smuggler freighter sequence, and being trapped by Andy Jason actually felt pretty high stakes. Many of the game endings feel rushed and too easy or low stakes, but I think this one really hit the mark in terms of plot, characters, and arguably difficulty (though I guess the real "final thing" was technically using the orca to throw the canister at him, which is pretty obvious... but that animation was so camp that I didn't care!)
if her interactive ever does make more nancy drew games, I hope someday they remember Hilda and have her call Nancy for help with something. that's be a cool call-back, just like when they had Savannah call Nancy for help with the Thorntons
Since Lizzie Borden was mentioned in the phone call I would like to recommend the film "Lizzie Borden took an ax" for anyone with a curiosity for the morbid. It's based on a true event. "Lizzie Borden took an ax And gave her mother forty whacks When she saw what she had done She gave her father forty-one."
I used to live in interior British Columbia and swam in Okanagan Lake many times and am very familiar with the mythical monster the Ogopogo. Then I moved to Victoria on Vancouver Island and lived right in Cadboro Bay named after the Cadborosaurus “Caddy”. This game is so cool to me because the setting is so familiar to both my childhood and adult life!
I live in southern Vancouver island and this game always has had a warm spot in my heart for the very accurate depiction of the region. We're very close to the San Juan islands ..
My dad never wore hearing protectors to a job in his thirties. He’s 70, forgets to wear the hearing aids at home (at least he freakin bought them), and I was really soft spoken from Parkinson’s. 2:30:59 This is a cartoonish depiction of me living with elderly parents. Before I was diagnosed, I was unknowingly doing PD voice therapy (“Loud”) to try to friggin comunícate with my parents. For smart people, they aren’t very bright when it comes to using context clues. They repeat short sentences back to me that have one or two whacky words instead of what I said. *Think* about what I might’ve said realistically
Perfect timing; I’m so excited to watch! I started doing diamond painting kits and your ND playthroughs are the best videos to listen to during, but I just finished all the others!
I've been saving up these last few Nancy Drews to save when I had the time to commit to truly watching them and I'm finally binging them. Really just love watching you play these so much. Its like a little 3 hour bundle of comfort
YESSS I WAS SO HOPING GAB WOULD PLAY DECEPTION ISLAND!!! My best friend and I used to play this one all the time when we were kids! We always got stuck on one particular puzzle though and never finished it haha I’m excited to watch this playthrough!
I was on a whale watching tour in Alaska once. We ran into a pod of transient killer whales attempting to drown a humpback. It was both horrifying and intriguing. Was a perfect demonstration of how they got their names. We had to leave the area due to rules but we were told later that there was a humpback seen in the same area and they believe it was the same one. (They can be identified by their tale patterns).
Gab, you have no idea how excited I get when you post a new Nancy Drew video. I’ve got COVID right now, I just moved out on my own for the first time, and I’m quarantining by myself. This could not have come at a better time!
Ah! I got a back injury recently and have been stuck in bed. I've been binging all of your nancy drew series again and was just saying how sad i was you hadn't played this one! Second nancy drew game i ever played. I'm a washingtonian, so it's always fun for people to learn a bit about our area. Even if it's a little outdated lol
Why have I, a 35 year old man, watched like 6 or 7 Nancy Drew playthroughs? I have no nostalgic attachment. But I must admit, I am apparantly into this.
This one and Creature of Kapu Cave are my absolute favorites, I've been looking forward to this foreveeeeer! The rain is pouring down outside, but I've got a blanket and DANGER ON DECEPTION ISLAAAAND!
“I always learn so much from Nancy games.” Same here, Gab. To the point where it’s a saying in my house. “Where did you learn that?” “Nancy taught me.” Lol
I have been watching you for years now, thanks for all the videos. Your channel has grown SO much in numbers and in style. It is great to see! I work in mental health and your videos are great for decompressing after work. 💜
Ahhhhhh this was such a nice surpise to see as an upload, Nancy Drew games were one of the biggest parts of my childhood with my mom and now seeing Gab play them is such a pleasure!! This is such a good game but I'm super excited for when Gab eventually plays Shadow Ranch because that is one of my favorite Nancy Drew games of all time! Cheers, and loving all the uploads!!
Okay I can’t be the only one thinking that the bgm (at the beginning around 11:00) sounds like night at the museum It's kinda cool how Nancy has such an impressive CV, she basically did internships in all working fields and places, whilst solving cases and passing both with flying colors. So not only has she an impressive case collection, but also all those internship (at times even more than internship) experiences. She is settled for everything!
I really think these Nancy games are the ultimate chill vibes ✨✨ They are such a joy to watch ☺️ This is so random but seeing Nancy with the microscope brought back a childhood memory of a kids one my family had where we would look slides with leaves, flowers, and bug wings, stuff like that. I haven’t thought about that in decades 🤣 how wild. Thanks for the video! ✨✨
ohmigosh Gab I have been anticipating to see you play this one! I have played this game so many times it's not even funny. As a child I was inspired to be a marine biologist because of THIS GAME. unfortunately I am not very good at math and science and have no patience to study hard with it but because of this game I have become a huge activist for the wildlife and ocean wildlife. Nancy has inspired me to help others no matter what forms they come in. That being said I'm majoring in criminal justice and hope to one day be a social worker! thank you for playing my childhood games (and tbh adult games cause c'mon ND is SO MUCH FUN) ♡♡
Gab I’ve been absolutely loving your content so much… I feel so safe and comfortable on your channel. I’ve been bingeing your Nancy Drew’s and hidden object games :) even playing stardew along with you ♥️ I appreciate you :3
I am like 40 minutes into this loooong video and I am loving the 'No-BullSh*t' taking Gabs. 🤣 Welcome to 30-something. A time of realizing stuff and taking less BS .
Oh my god!!! I've been waiting on these videos everyday ! Definitely my highlight for today :D love the Nancy drew game series and I love the way you play it Gabby
"Every Nancy Drew game has had at least one brilliant conversation" I mean, I think the most brilliant dialogue option so far was "May I see that tape again?"
"I fired and I missed" guy is up there too
CHEESEBURGER
"I've got the tape right here all queued up" will forever haunt my memories 😂
INTERESTING
@@alexw.7097 also "Yahoo" from Tex in Shadow Ranch hehe

Definitely sounds like the same voice actor
Thanks! Love the fun facts! Just wanted to add that to trigger the clam chowder and muffins:

Those were fun, thanks for sharing!
Lll,lll
I think it was more the way katie explained gps than the fact she explained it. Def comes off condescending lolol
The way you sigh and say „Why do I have to do it? Isn’t it my holiday?“ and apply some lipstick after, really sent me haha !
2:31:27 -- "Goodbye Caddy!" lol. Casey was an absolute gem. This Nancy was so much fun to watch on the stream, but Nancy upload days are just as cozy and lovely. Really enjoyed this one.
Nancy has had a tough life tbh. She can't even go on holiday without somebody dying.
I was about to comment if they had made a mistake in the call to the Drew residence when you fail, when Nancy says "Hey Nancy, it's Hannah", until I realized that she indeed got her head hit pretty hard. Fun detail.
OMG that's hilarious. Idk if I even noticed that lol
Cheers, Gab! Been having a rough week myself, and seeing another Nancy Drew playthough is just what I need for some cheering up.
Same here!!
Me too. Hope you feel better 😞🤍
This is a game series meant for young women. I am a 33 year old man.
Naturally, I love these videos lol
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BADLY IVE BEEN NEEDING THIS GAB
1:23:30 - 'fight the power' 😄 literally one the many reasons I love this lady - best playthroughs online. Period 👌
When she read Beech Hill Museum and all I can hear in my head is "BEEEEEEEEEEECH". Missed some good ol' Nancy Drew! Thanks Gab!

@BestUA-camChannelEver! yeah Nancy Drew is pretty rad
@BestUA-camChannelEver! wtf are u saying😭😭😂😂
@BestUA-camChannelEver! smooth brain
I get really happy when Gab notices all the connections between the games. Sometimes those little details are lost on people. It’s a random little thing that brings me joy
Underrated mystery tbh, the atmosphere in this one has always been neat

She played it not too long ago with jack! Playing an Irish game with an Irishman.
I can remember playing this as a kid and it took me forever to find the caves and the second waypoint. I was genuinely surprised when Gab found them so easily!
Love this series, it's my go-to gym entertainment! Keeps me on the treadmill for ages hehe
I’m so glad you’re playing these games, I’ve loved them since I was a kid and it’s nice to see them get more exposure :)
Can't tell you how many times I've come back to this video for a rewatch, I swear the whole thing is just so comforting

"What is this mission impossible shit that we're doing out here?!" Omigod Gab, that really got me 🤣🤣🤣
I played the life outta these games when I was younger so it makes me happy to see people still play these and they havent been forgotten
Gab, you are a saint. I’ve come down with the You Know What on my birthday. Some cozy Nancy vibes are exactly what I need. ❤️
Hope you get well soon.
Very unfortunate for a bday, do get well soon.
I also love to keep clicking on the Ship in a bottle to see how many ways Nancy says “interesting!”

It was beautiful watching gab’s demeanor change to become more and more annoyed with each line andy said in his intro XD
Every time they mention Rosebud in the game, my mind goes straight to The Sims 😂
Now I'm going to have Secret Tunnel stuck in my head all day hahah... Really, though, this series is so calming to my anxiety, I love it so much. Thank you ❤
Omg when the guy got knocked out by the oxygen tank I lost it!! The way he spun and muttered 'nuts' before falling over? 😂😂😂

I'm so excited I'm using this game as an example of a "red herring" for my English class.
if her interactive ever does make more nancy drew games, I hope someday they remember Hilda and have her call Nancy for help with something. that's be a cool call-back, just like when they had Savannah call Nancy for help with the Thorntons
They still make Nancy drew games and the newest one is tbd
So glad to see this today! I know Stay tuned for danger is discontinued, but I hope you'll still play it.
After this, I would absolutely love a stream where Gab and the audience just watch a nature documentary. We can all learn together lol.
That would be pretty cool
Since Lizzie Borden was mentioned in the phone call I would like to recommend the film "Lizzie Borden took an ax" for anyone with a curiosity for the morbid. It's based on a true event.

No luck catchin them orcas then? Just the one orca actually. Absolutely golden reference, love it. Don't think I won't catch that hahaha
This is always such a nice series to watch.
Perfect timing; I’m so excited to watch! I started doing diamond painting kits and your ND playthroughs are the best videos to listen to during, but I just finished all the others!
How fun and calming!
I've got wine, I've got accordion potatoes baking in the oven and I've got Gab playing another Nancy Drew game, my Sunday plans are set!
I've been saving up these last few Nancy Drews to save when I had the time to commit to truly watching them and I'm finally binging them. Really just love watching you play these so much. Its like a little 3 hour bundle of comfort

The most underrated ND game!! Loved watching. Thank you for making these :)
This and Haunted Carousel were the first games I ever finished. They have a special place in my heart.
i've never heard of this youtuber in my life. now, if this was gab smolders, that'd be a different story
I was literally thinking yesterday about how I wanted another Nancy Drew video! Yay! Absolutely love these
I was on a whale watching tour in Alaska once.
YES! Already watched on Twitch, but I'm watching it again! This is one of my favorites so far.
Gab, you have no idea how excited I get when you post a new Nancy Drew video. I’ve got COVID right now, I just moved out on my own for the first time, and I’m quarantining by myself. This could not have come at a better time!
Hope you're feeling much better! Nancy Drew is a good way to pass the time, though!!
These playthroughs just warm my heart, so much love and nostalgia in these games. Thank you for posting these!
I found my love of Nancy drew games from you and today marks the day that I played a game before u did
2:29:12 the library guy totally has the same voice as “Miles the Magnificent Memory Machine” from the last game!
Precious comment. Hope your back is feeling better these days!!! Back problems suck.
Gab!! Currently very hungover from drinking away my uni failures and this is doing just the trick in solving everything. Thanks so so much!!!
Why have I, a 35 year old man, watched like 6 or 7 Nancy Drew playthroughs? I have no nostalgic attachment. But I must admit, I am apparantly into this.
When Katie turned around in the chair I was luke "OMG YOU LIAR" because I thought she was lying 😭😂 the facial expressions made me just think that
This one and Creature of Kapu Cave are my absolute favorites, I've been looking forward to this foreveeeeer! The rain is pouring down outside, but I've got a blanket and DANGER ON DECEPTION ISLAAAAND!
I love how the woman feels the need to explain GPS to you like you're an idiot, then expects you to fix her plumbing.
Gps was way newer than plumbing when the game came out 😐
I had this game on CD when I was a kid and never finished it - thank you for playing it, I'm excited to see the how the story plays out!
“I always learn so much from Nancy games.”
Same here, Gab. To the point where it’s a saying in my house.
“Where did you learn that?”
“Nancy taught me.” Lol
"I really want to read this."
Proceeds to not read it.
I have been watching you for years now, thanks for all the videos. Your channel has grown SO much in numbers and in style. It is great to see! I work in mental health and your videos are great for decompressing after work. 💜
This game means a lot to me I got it for my 10th birthday (I’m now 30) I was so excited and it’s my favorite Nancy drew game!
Nothing better than Gab's videos to play in the background while drawing 😌
You made my whole weekend!! Thank you so much Gab!! Your ND play throughs are my favorite!
Okay I can’t be the only one thinking that the bgm (at the beginning around 11:00) sounds like night at the museum
It's kinda cool how Nancy has such an impressive CV, she basically did internships in all working fields and places, whilst solving cases and passing both with flying colors. So not only has she an impressive case collection, but also all those internship (at times even more than internship) experiences. She is settled for everything!
Not to mention her dad is rich!
My FAVORITE UA-camr playing all of my favorite games from my childhood? gab you’re killing me!! I love you!!
Nailed the pronunciation of Dysart. Little fishing village here on the East coast of Scotland where they filmed a few outlander scenes.
I love the game over when she slipped at the tide pool, my mom actually did that before and broke her ankle on vacation
As a person from Washington State, “grey” is a great description
I really think these Nancy games are the ultimate chill vibes ✨✨ They are such a joy to watch ☺️
This is so random but seeing Nancy with the microscope brought back a childhood memory of a kids one my family had where we would look slides with leaves, flowers, and bug wings, stuff like that. I haven’t thought about that in decades 🤣 how wild.
Thanks for the video! ✨✨
YAY! a Gab Nancy Drew video. I am so excited right now!
I have never seen/heard that introduction with Andy Jason before. Interesting!
2:01:25 I'm CRYING at the Lord of the Bums spiel. It's amusing, nerdy and cute! How does she do it?
ohmigosh Gab I have been anticipating to see you play this one!
Aw yis!!!!! I just finished watching through your ND playlist! Keen for more mysteries 😊
Bad day today and this is exactly what I needed to unwind and relax for the evening. Thanks Gab
So I just keep rewatching my favorite Evelyn videos, mostly Nancy drew, waiting for her next Nancy drew video ❤
Yessss! The best content on UA-cam - Gab playing Nancy Drew
It has been such a stressful day. Opening youtube and seeing new nancy drew videosby gab, just keeps everthing balanced.
Just got hit with nostalgia. My mom and I would play these when I was a kid 💚
Oh my god!!! I've been waiting on these videos everyday ! Definitely my highlight for today :D love the Nancy drew game series and I love the way you play it Gabby
Roux - bechamel - mornay. Thats how my lasagne white sauce goes :D
