I hope you read a bit about the trail of tears. It was when the American army forced all the Native American tribes of the southeast States to March across the Mississippi River to "Indian territory" which became Oklahoma. Over 15,000 of them died on the walk.
This was AFTER the Cherokee Nation took tremendous steps to "civilize" so as to cooexist with colonists. When shiny rocks were found on Cherokee land in Georgia, then naturally it was time for a congressionally approved death march. One of many "proud" moments in our history.
The Trail of Tears refers to when the several Native American tribes were forced out of their ancestral homelands in southern US. The tribe referenced in the game are likely the Cherokees, as they largely relocated to Oklahoma.

I was in that tornado in Oklahoma in may 1999. When I walked out of my closet, my entire house was gone. Only thing left standing was the closet my family and I were huddled in. We had 3 refrigerators in the spot our livingroom was in just seconds before. We never really recovered from that. My dad thought he could stand on the porch and watch the tornado like he usually did. He barely made it to the closet. We were lucky. A lot of our neighbors died in that tornado.
Also fun fact, Antlers, my hometown that was one of the towns that had a a record breaking tornado, is so small that the tornado almost knocked it completely off the map
For those who do not know for understandable reasons, (not being North American and therefore understandably not knowing much of US history) the Trail of Tears is well named. That was the trail over 60,000 Native Americans were forced to take away from their homes in the 1800s. It was a harrowing jounrey and many died along the way. Thankfully, today, there are movements to help their descendants get their homes back and to preserve their heritages and cultures (as those who suffered were from different tribes, and different tribes had and have distinct practices, histories, and cultures.) Actually, the best thing to use to catch mice is peanut butter, surprisingly, lol. ALSO was adoring watching Sean showing Gab with low key compliments when she was doing the wiring 😂
In case it wasn't mentioned on stream, there's been a few different media adaptations of the Hardy Boys, but there's one on Disney Plus that came out pretty recently. There's two seasons (second one came out last year) and it's equal parts wholesome brothers solving mysteries and actually bat-shit insane shenanigans. 9/10 definitely recommend if anyone is interested.
The 70s had a dual Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew tv show that would alternate the detectives every week and its pretty good. Some episodes are just insane plots or straight up make no sense if you think about it for too long, but still super fun and the fashion is impeccable 👌🏻 (you may or may not be able to see the whole show here on yt for free 🤫😏)
9:42 - as someone from Illinois and had about three different tornado warnings (and actual tornados in some areas) at the beginning of April, I highly agree with saying "fuck us"
As an European I can say that I've never been taught about it in school. I took only basic history classes (that everyone who doesn't do extended history takes) and the only thing about American history was like, Christopher Columbus and one class on civil war.
I have been an ND fan since the dawn of time and played all of the Nancy Drew games. I just discovered Evelien's channel recently and absolutely LOVE watching her play. I've been hankering for another Nancy game and even though this is one of my least favorite in the series, I know I'm still going to love watching it. Cannot wait to see Sean sit with her for this one, too!
As someone who's played as a young child due to a nancy fan mom who's also played plenty of games - this one is a good beginner , but definitely not a favorite. Can't wait for the new game that was just announced tho!!!
@@stargirl7646 The most relentless imo is the The Silent Spy or Secret of the Scarlet Hand- but yes , all the games are difficult, some more than others. Easier ones to get into would be : Secrets can kill , Warnings at Waverly Academy , Last Train to Blue canyon, and curse of blackmoor manor are all on the easier side (all still fun and have their own difficulties!!) I recommend checking out the games as they are all super fun!!
This is my first time watching with Sean, and I am only 3 minutes in, and he has me laughing sooo much!!! He's a gem and so funny!!! Love from New York City! 🏙️
Sean has me freaking dying of laughter. Petition to have him in more Nancy streams!!! He would love the next game in Germany. Especially because there is Nancy & Ned drama.

Just to let you know, The Trail of Tears if the from when the US government, removed (took away their land rights) of the First People (Native Americans) from their land (deep south) to the holding camps (Reservations) in the west. The long trek is called the "Trail of Tears". 46,00 were removed from their home lands to open up land for settlers. It is really sad what we did to them.
Youre summary of the game is spot on. 2.5 hours in, and the only detective work that youve managed was hearing the plot against Scott. I applaud your sticking with it.
There are a number of Nancy Drew shows/movies and a number of Hardy Boys shows/movies, but my favorite is the Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries from the 70s. Shaun Cassidy as Joe Hardy and Parker Stevenson as Frank Hardy are what I always picture when someone talks about the Hardy Boys.
I was a little shooketh when they mocked the Trail of Tears but then I was like "oh yeah". I wish they had read about it though even if it's depressing.
The problem when Sean is there is that they play off each other which would be GREAT but then Gab doesn't read the things that she needs to read (to avoid seriously fucked up shit like this) and they talk over the characters, and I can't enjoy this as a podcast.
I would love to see Jack play Shadow's at Water's Edge! Honestly I'd love watching Jack play any of the ones that have already been played! Either way, absolutely LOVE these videos and I am so, so happy to see Gab and all these fans love them like I do! Thank you so much 💖💕
Séan’s southern accent is so accurate. I couldn’t stop laughing while he was reading that note at the beginning. It’s great to see you and séan playing nancy drew together.

I'm actually rewatching this because I love when Sean joins her for games...esp ND. Great duo! I think I said this when I first watched it: I live in the south and Sean has one of the best southern USA back roads accents. It's really impressive honestly.
I love having Sean join in these videos, but I admit it does make me a little sad that Gab doesn't read through the literature as much now that he is here :(
I love Sean, but it's a completely different vibe now that he's joining in on it. Especially when he keeps making jokes while I'm trying to read along. It makes them both happy though so it's not a big deal.
i binged all of the nancy videos recently and i'm so glad to see another one! There's something very calming but also really fun about watching Gab play them. Thanks for posting!

Tornadoes are absolutely terrifying, I have experienced one EF5 tornado, that took place in a town called Joplin, Missouri in 2011. It killed 100+ ppl and injured around 1,500+ ppl. and the town was pretty much destroyed. They form so fast too. The sound of a tornado is also terrifying.

1:10:25 "What's your patronus? A gator."
Gotta admit, that caught me off guard, and I laughed.
Actually, the best thing to use to catch mice is peanut butter, surprisingly, lol.
The CW also has a great Nancy Drew TV show. Very spooky
9:42 - as someone from Illinois and had about three different tornado warnings (and actual tornados in some areas) at the beginning of April, I highly agree with saying "fuck us"
I was taken aback when they asked what the trail of tears was but then I remembered they are European.
I feel like even Europeans should be educated about it, it’s like a really big deal lol
@@maddieb.4282 Americans don't know a lot about European atrocities, either, unfortunately.
@Mark Cameron very true. World history, past the big big events that encompass multiple areas, is really lost in schooling.
As an European I can say that I've never been taught about it in school. I took only basic history classes (that everyone who doesn't do extended history takes) and the only thing about American history was like, Christopher Columbus and one class on civil war.
@Annie thanks for sharing. 😀 It's interesting to hear about a first person account of what was taught.
This one is my least favorite too! Haha
Did you see there’s a new one coming soon?!!
As someone who's played as a young child due to a nancy fan mom who's also played plenty of games - this one is a good beginner , but definitely not a favorite. Can't wait for the new game that was just announced tho!!!
This is the first one I’ve watched oh dear 😂 Are they ALL relentless puzzles like this game? 😅
"what's your patronus?"
"A gator!"
😅😅😅😭😭
That patronus/gator joke had me cackling in the middle of work 😂😂 ty Sean for bringing in the comedy today
I shot out of bed when I saw this! Nothing beats a Nancy Day, and with Sean as a bonus!!! WOOOHOOO!
For real, I screamed when I saw the thumbnail 😂
@@alexishoffmann4554 Me too 😂
Sean playing with BB at 2:37:27 is soooo adorable, meanwhile Evelien is so focused on the gears
As someone who loves Nancy so much (she saved my life, not kidding) she absolutely would just sit around and watch a tornado unless it turned toward her.
I absolutely love the Nancy Drew series! Brings me back, I'm almost done with college now and I started playing them when I was around 5
Gab's calm energy and Seán's chaotic energy now this is tornado of a video 😂
My first instinct for baiting the mousetrap was peanut butter. Used it my entire childhood whenever the mice started popping up in the basement.
Absolutely love the Nancy Drew games, Gab! I always save them for a quiet night when I'm alone with some word puzzles and a nice hot drink. ❤
ok but Sean's Jennifer Coolidge impression is a little TOO good. I died 😂😂😂
words cannot describe how happy and excited i was to see a 4 hour video of gab and seán playing nancy drew. this made my week!
jack's ADHD is off the charts in this video and i'm so here for it!!! he's exactly like my boyfriend, always saying the first thing that comes to his head and can't hold it back
Fun fact! The movie twister was filmed in Iowa and you can see a sign that says ‘I-80’ which goes through Iowa and not Oklahoma or Kansas (I can’t remember which state the movie takes place right now, but it’s one of them).
Edit: it’s Oklahoma.
God they're so cute together, it's always so sweet to see Sean playing these with Gab, it makes me so happy
I’m from Texas and Gab and Sean roasting where I’m from and making fun of Souther American accents is making me feel like I should move countries now 😂
I don't know man. They're leaning hard in on country people being walking sacks of hog shit. I've lived in Iowa too long. Its actually a little hurtful.
@@elianamazurr.5722 it's funny cause he took continual offense at the caricaturized depiction of Irish culture in the Castle Molloy game. Y'all can dish it but can't take it
@@janed4727 Yeah I was laughing at them mocking me as an American southerner tbh 🤣 like Sean got it down lol
YES finally more gab playing the best series ever Nancy Drew!
I remember playing this game before and the music at 3:00:14 when the storm roles in from the side of the screen always gets me and it is perfect
Youre summary of the game is spot on. 2.5 hours in, and the only detective work that youve managed was hearing the plot against Scott. I applaud your sticking with it.
I love that per an earlier Gab stream she said Sean asked to join for another Nancy playthrough
Sean hyping Gab up when she’s solving puzzles makes my heart melt. ❤
Lol Sean hitting on Gab had me playfully thinking "you two should get a room" til I looked at the background.
Sean being super impressed and gob smacked by Evelin’s puzzle solving is soo amazing 😂😂😂
@Draconic Feline yeah I had to pause multiple times to read dialogue and the other text
So grateful for this video.
Rough past few days but was able to watch and have some laughs 💕
Literally the best couple ever.
Sean is really nailing that "seventies serial killer dad" look
I would love to see Jack play Shadow's at Water's Edge! Honestly I'd love watching Jack play any of the ones that have already been played! Either way, absolutely LOVE these videos and I am so, so happy to see Gab and all these fans love them like I do! Thank you so much 💖💕
Twister was filmed on my old family's farm!! Always fun to hear people talk about having fond memories of it.
1:28 That’s what people in the Midwest do, too, lol. She fits right in. 😂
Séan’s southern accent is so accurate. I couldn’t stop laughing while he was reading that note at the beginning. It’s great to see you and séan playing nancy drew together.
As someone who is from OKC, this game cracks me uppppp
I love that Evelyn plays these games, and having Sean along for the ride is awesome. I love the dynamic they bring to any game
The Hardy Boys don't look like brothers, so I thought they were lovers too 😂😂😂 Gab I think you'll like Columbo, and even Murder She wrote if you haven't heard of it already 😊❤
The scream I scrumpt when I saw the thumbnail. Y'alls videos together are always the BEST
15:18 There was a Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys TV show back in the 70s but the Hardy Boys so greatly overshadowed Nancy that they minimized her screen time until they straight up removed her from the show altogether
I love the enthusiasm for Twister :D They're making a new one set to come out next year with Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones.
Twister was such a good movie. Watched it 8 times in a row when I was a kid.
this was my favorite nancy game! i played almost all of them with my grandma but this one was that i remember the most! thank you so much gab for playing this & having this series! truly my favorite comfort series
I would play these with my grandma too as a kid! 😊 I haven't heard anyone say this one is their favorite before, it tends to get a lot of hate for the chores. I think it's a fun summer game, very atmospheric
the music que with what Sean says at 14:28 is killing me
Nothing that makes a mystery more intriguing than a twister! And with Gabs as Nancy!
You hit the 1M. I'm so proud of you, thanks Gab
Nooo how did I miss this live? I wanted to witness the chaos and cuteness live 😆 Oh well, at least I'll have something cozy to binge while recovering from a con tomorrow!
Over 4 hours of Gab and Sean playing Nacy Drew and I've never laughed so hard in my life!
3:38:55 Total riot! I almost peed myself. But please go on! LOL!
Yes! I've been working my way through the Gab playing Nancy Drew games playlist while I crochet and seeing a new one made my night. Thanks for playing these games, they're really fun to watch.
Y'all are great. I watched Twister as a kid, and it also sparked my love of tornadoes and learning about them. I think I scared my husband laughing at that bit, honestly. Thanks for making my day!
I love how there's a literal tornado in the background when she gets to the house .... but the moment you step inside it's like everything's fine and dandy!
They don't make them houses like they used to.
I swear to God the both of them get so much more unhinged when theyre with eachother ESPECIALLY Sean 😂😂
"you're gonna be playing them for years and years" thank gOD i need them to be happy
