Tonight Carl Cox Ibiza legend and global superstar returns to the city where it all began to headline Mixmag Live and you'll be able to watch 2 hours of his set live on MixmagTV.
We'll be hosting our flagship event at London's Fabric for the very first time and Coxy will be stepping up the the plate from 1am BST to deliver a world exclusive extended set of house and techno classics.
Born in Oldham to Barbadian parents, Carl first started to spin records at the age of 15 as a mobile DJ. Over the next decade he developed into one of the brightest young talents in the country, winning an abundance of admirers with his exciting selections and mastery behind a set of turntables. To this day, no one can pull off a three-deck mix quite like Coxy.
His first foray into production, 1991 single ‘I Want You’, highlighted his complete skillset, with the track rocketing to number 23 in the charts and earning a spot on Top of the Pops.
But pop stardom was never his aim. Staying true to his club roots, he immersed himself into the worlds of techno and house, quickly rising through the ranks to the top of the underground.
In 2016 he stands as one of dance music’s best-loved figures. His ‘Global’ radio show has over 17 million listeners worldwide, his Carl Cox & Friends party series sells out venues across the world, and this summer he’ll embark on a fifteenth and final season at Space Ibiza.
It’s a residency that will go down in history, earning Coxy his imperial stature on the White Isle through mixing wizardry and high-calibre guests such as Laurent Garnier, Nina Kraviz and Marco Carola.
saw him playing live a lot of times in the mid 90s in germany. this guy never disappoints. I was always fascinated by his 3 deck wizardry, a true icon!!!!
the man is a techno/house/dance/ rave/every music legend that always pleases the crowds wherever he goes in the world RESPECT CARL
After all these years it's great to see the passion carl expresses in all his sets. He could just turn up, go through the motions and still get paid, yet he embraces new technology and still loves what he's doing. A true legendary dj.
Wow what a man!!, he's like wine...just keeps on getting better and better.
Was just gonna write the same thing, I started clubbing in NYC n long Island in 98 just discovered carl Cox like 5 yes ago going crazy shaking my ass at 47 by myself just ripping.it
Carl always boogies through every set! That's when you know s DJ loves what they do
no one works the crowd or the decks like coxy. what a legend!
The one and the only, The King, The Coxy!!! \o/
Oh Yes Oh Yes
Coxy in da House :D>
Underground Deep-Tech Station Oh yes oh yes hahah living legend!
indeed!
you know
Nice to hear a lot of House Sound of Chicago in this set, very subtle but none the less appreciated... Top marks. I grew up with house, but I remember Carl cox predominantly for Jungle sounds of the early to mid nineties, but it just goes to show what an excellent DJ he continues to be...
And a very fond nostalgic - LFO
What an amazing dance night last week. Wonderful juggled classics! THX
Fucking unreal old school acid/house set CARL COX who fucking else!! goosebumps for just under 2 hrs thanks man!!!
I guess you're a sucker for Cox.
+mantra3000 OH YES OH YES CARL COX Bring on Space Ibiza 2016!!!
WTF IS THIS EASY SHIT TO MAKE GIVES YOU GOOSEBUMPS? SAME PERC ARRANGEMENT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. FUCKING SIMPLE MELODY AN 8 YEAR OLD COULD MAKE OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
WTF DUDE!
+Murunga Murunga so that's the reason why your doing it and earning millions May I assume your a little 12 yr old at home playing with his moms apron strings??
The simplicity is part of the genius, man.
When Carl Cox is holding two tracks in the mix there is something special about it that is difficult to describe, and that other DJs can't really duplicate.
+José González Sevilla Of course. I'm saying that to me there is something special about Carl Cox.
So happy I was there and got to see the full 5 hours! unreal experience.
Finally Carl Cox in action with awesome tracks back in the day! If only he can do a vinyl set like he did before it's what we need in today's electronic music. Lastly that's what a i call an underground rave!!
I was there, on a school night. Its so good to hear all the old school classics lined up side-by-side.

and Jeff Mills even beyond, Carl si more like an angel for a crowd...while Jeff with his production and 909 is a God
you said the truth!
it's nice to see him doing a set like this rather than playing his usual dull af business techno
There is Carl Cox and a few others who can actually DJ. 95% are producers collecting cheques. Great producers do not make great DJ’s and vice versa.
He brings it every set amazing

john beltran?
Was that in Edinburgh
I see the king I press like.
Absolutely beautiful set ❤️❤️❤️
I can remember back in the mid 90s when happy hardcore, hardcore techno and shitty jungle was prevalent (yes I listened to that shite). One of my older mates told me Carl cox had never been or ever would be a good DJ, so I never listened to his sets. Well all I can say is as I started to hit the late 90s early 2000 and actually went to uk clubs and Ibiza that I realised Carl cox is an absolute master at his work. One of the all time greats who still to this very day makes me wanna jive about my living room with my kids looking at me like I’m some kind of fruit loop. Well done Carl cox, frickin legend! Peace xxx
Right away starting with some old school tracks. Carl Cox is always a mainstay in my music list. \m/
Holy faak! This set has such an old school vibe to it. It totally reminds me of mid 90's rave sets. Thanks CC. You always deliver a master class!

Amazing Carl as Always real classics in there
Carl Cox is in the House ! OH YES OH YES !!!
This is the first set in a long time I truly enjoyed by him. Normally I think he plays about 60% dope tracks, and the other 40% is kinda cheesy. His track selection that night was really good.
The KING of all things house and techno Carl Cox

love him so much
He played in a club called SOUTH in tramore Waterford almost 20 years ago. The night he played it was his birthday, so he was on form big time. Coxy turned the volume up to his high level. People were walking out the door saying that's too fucking loud. My wife and I ran straight out to the middle of the dancefloor. Some buzz!!!!!!!!!
Literally blew the fucking roof off💣💣💣💣
THE BEST DJ EVER
Yes sir! .. He does it again woooo 😉👊👌👍
wow fabric is still going huh. .... cool! Great set!
I still remember going to the opening Sat night 20 years ago! Night that always sticks out in my mind was X-Press 2 at their 'lazy' peak playing a 6hr set. Absolutely amazing.
Yes, I remember that night I left early I do not know ... very good
Simply the best.....

Pure old school!!
For anyone wondering, the song that starts at 1:01:11 is K Hand - Everybody (Tommy Largo Remix)
No, it's NOT. It sampled a part of the original ""Everybody" version, but in fact is HMC - LSD
You're welcome.
