Yeah, this floored me. The beautiful, hopeful rise in the song, the soft JiU prechorus, bridge queen Dongdong, everyone's just popping off. And the MV really is a definite notch above what they've done before, both in framing and how the colors come through. Adore it! The album is really freaking fantastic too. Excited for stages!
"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed. That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with quite a lot of the scenes in the MV. As you can see, my theory is not yet perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉 (And why there are 3 Damis with 7 shadows...) Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow just beautiful. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job! And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy! I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the director and the visual effects team all deserve a raise!
I'm sure this album would've been an emotional experience regardless, but since seeing the highlight medley and noticing Leez missing from the credits and seeing the rest of the names (most of the Edenary team that works with Leez and Ollounder on Ateez) It feels like DCC went and gathered all his friends to have a "Bon Voyage: From Us To. You" party for Leez as he leaves for his new project. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but man I love these people.
My favorite parts have to be soft parts JiU, Dami's rap, suits song so well. Also we must have sua do highnotes from now on, that was perfect! Album even though it's shorter demian, propose are sooooo gooooooood, sad to see LEEZ not participating on this album, but glad to see Ollounder kept their core sound
JiU's vocals with acoustic guitar in the background was just a chef's kiss! And the sound took me back to their older songs :') Definitely in my top 5 title tracks! ^_^

It feels like this was written as their goodbye title track before they resigned. Narratively it’s perfect. The goddess created a pocket ‘Noah’s Ark’ on the ruined planet and broke the dome protecting it at the end.
I agree. This FEELS like a farewell song, and the timing of creation definitely feels like it could have been originally created as such, but it was so good and powerful that it wasn't thrown out when the members all renewed their contracts. Maybe someone will ask them during promotions and we'll find out for sure, but I think you're on to something.

When they said that they were still in the middle of contemplating their contract renewal during their tour last year and seeing insomnia show up just made the decision that much easier... so glad we can rock out to this song without the sadness of an ending! From what I have read most contract renewals are for 3-5 years, but it's entirely possible that they renewed for another 7. I don't think Dreamcatcher or the company have any interest in stopping any time soon. The members LOVE what they do and are very happy with the terms of their new contracts and their situation with Dreamcatcher Company. Why stop or go somewhere else - who would treat them better than the management they already see as family? Plus Dreamcatcher Company has no one else - D1CE are disbanded and the trainee group has been cancelled. Maybe as the members get into their 30s they will want to focus more on solo projects or have families, but I think so long as Dreamcatcher is profitable, the company and the members will find a way to keep it going.

I really liked this song, it is the most rock-fied title of theirs since Odd Eye, I think. Reminds me a lot of their Dejavu song. Maison and specially Vision didn't stick with me, not because I disliked them, but because I didn't find them as memorable. But the "Maybe you don't but I love you" part is so catchy including the hand choreo in this song. Also, off topic, have you reacted to Doxa by Secret Number? The Pokémon looking creature is called Celly and it's essential for the storyline. The Goddesses raised the energy shields during the devastating war in Vision ("red circles"), using the mysterious crystals standing in the middle, to protect humans. These isolate Humanity from Nature, letting it heal, and also protect them from the dangerous environment. This was the plan (Vision), that was set in motion by the Goddesses since Maison. So humans say a bittersweet Bon Voyage to Mother Earth, and lock themselves, with the hopes of reuniting one day. Meanwhile, Celly is created and is used to repair the planet. Time passes. Animals, plants and butterflies appear again. Snow falls and flowers bloom. In the end, the Goddesses drop the shield in one habitat and we see that a green, beautiful Earth is revealed around it. Humanity is back Home.
damis canvases during her rap seems to reference the dystopia trilogy with the eyes and the lipstick prints/mouths etc! then on the line saying "I draw a future with you" while streaking the painting with red paint reads like the speaker (from dami's lines the speaker seems to be humanity) rejecting the dystopian future that the trilogy foretold and chooses to aim towards apologizing to the earth and wanting to repair their future together, even if that might mean saying a temporary farewell.

Yes it's the best title track of the trilogy and one of their best, period. What a song. Nobody does it like Dreamcatcher.

All of JiU’s parts in this song give me goosebumps! And I genuinely say that apart from her being my bias.

I agree.
