this is "THE" layout. 1. door to the bedroom with both being able to get out on their side. 2 still having a couch for guests to visit.3 no slides. 4 heated underneath. love it!
In the bedroom yes either move the plug. One or both. OR ... Place a cable tube. Many people have long enough charging cables that they could stretch it to the open space. Yes!!!! 18ft awning and a window in the door. Would make this camper go home with me tonight.
I'm a cabinetmaker. I'd add a 16" or 18" wide 12" deep semi-wardrobe against the outer wall with a place to hang coats/etc above a 2 or three shelf shoe garage...
6 things to be perfect: 1. Vent fan in the bathroom 2. Pocket door for the bedroom 3. Door window 4. Longer awning 5. Ladder 6. I agree about the plugs in the bedroom
For what it is, I give this floorplan 9/10. Clean, simple, effective. I really like that it has hinged interior doors and a traditional booth dinette. It seems to have the appropriate size, number and placement of windows.
TY. I really appreciate how you shape your feedback based on this one's class and not vs. ALL travel trailers which I commonly see. It's all relative! :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd Random weird fact about me. One of my hobbies is using 'consumer grade' CAD software to design homes and RV's, over the years I've probably designed over 400 RV's, you know, as a hobby... 'cause I'm weird like that. 😁
I have to say that we are HUGE FANS of slide outs. Actually EVERY unit we have owned over the years have had at least one slide with our last unit having 3 slides. BUT.... I have to admit that this coach looks VERY cozy and seriously comfortable in its layout AND it's all done without a slide! A window in the door would be nice though.... 🤔 Other than that --->SUPER HUGE PROPS for East To West! They REALLY knocked it out of the park with this unit! 5 STARS! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Thanks again Uncle Josh! 👍😊
Suggestions for improvements in this rig. Bedroom c-pap pockets should have the power outlets within them. I agree with you on that one for sure. Cabinets also need shelves to break up the space to make them more efficient and storage friendly. Also, can the couch be removed so that an owner can replace it with a couple of reading chairs and end table? Maybe possible? Make the trailer a couple of feet longer and add a cabinet behind the goucho dinnette and use it for a pantry and coat closet. All these could really help for those who are on the road for longer than a weekend. :D
Overall, I like. :-) Things I would change: 1. Pizza oven for a taller oven. While this would be adequate for a weekend or, perhaps, a week, we usually travel for two or three months. Need to be able to bake bread and roast meat and vegetables. My SO and I have different dietary requirements and preferences. I batch cook with limited seasoning (then portion and freeze); he is able to create incredible meals with minimal fuss. And I bake from scratch, due to dietary restrictions. Relationships require a bit of learning and a lot of compromise! ;-) 2. Add a countertop extension next to the sofa. The position of the sink would make it challenging to add adequate support inside the cabinet. 3. Add cabinet doors to the bathroom cabinet. Storage may function well as is, but travel is dusty (as is home life!). Need doors to minimize dust. Despise open storage (i.e., pot racks, utensil magnets, etc.). Do not want to wash things before and after use! 4. Bathroom vanity. Is that much space really required for systems? Would prefer they be consolidated behind a removable access panel inside a functional cabinet, even if it is a bit small. 5. Move USB ports up to nook area in bedroom. Keep the two outlets as is, or move one to nook area. Entry area: Would prefer some type of cabinet storage, but would need measurements to design it. Triangular? Not necessarily equilateral. Just thinking! Definitely would swaption (love that Josh-ism!) Queen rather than king mattress. Since we travel for longer periods of time, we have different needs than the average bear, but don't really want a massive TT. We are not minimalists, and I travel with three sewing machines. They are power tools and have different functions (I would prefer five, but sacrifice to travel). Get over it. 🙃 OH! And kudos to whoever handles your internet stuff. The link to your older video and the Bish's website was flawless. Return journey to this video was equally comfortable! 👍 ...Teale 🏜️ Edit: Auto-correct GLARED at me! Not nice!
You mention that you sew. My wife has a sewing business and we were thinking about traveling in this trailer, but were would you sew at the dinette? How do you do it?
@@NabichtStudios If we're some place with a picnic table and the weather is nice, I clean it and cover it and work there. Be sure to take clips to hold the covering in place in multiple places. A personal folding table also works well and is cleaner. :-) Otherwise, the dinette it is! It does not work well for cutting large garment (or quilt) pieces, but is functional for most other things. Seating is an issue for me. I battle severe sciatica, so limit sitting time to about 30 minutes. Not very efficient, but it is much better than debilitating pain! Your wife probably will try several things before she finds what works well for her. I know someone who sews standing up at a counter. Sometimes we have to be creative! Enjoy your travels! ...Teale 🏜️
I prefer the no slides. Mostly only due to a quick overnight , afternoon nap , couple hour relaxation or some lazy loitering at parking lots. Yes, to a door window.
I use collapsible baskets that fold out wide enough to stay inside the bathroom cubbies. It works great. I also roll my towels and can fit 10 total using just 2 of the cubbies. We love this camper. It’s perfect for a couple.
The ladder mount, is something everyone should be doing. At least this company is. You are right about the plug in the bedroom. For the price point. I like it.
Yeah, even if they aren't going to include the ladder by default, including standardized mounting setup(or at least clearly defined mounting points) would be a blessing for customers and dealers alike... as well as manufacturers because they can just do the mounting stuff without having to necessarily include the ladder itself And yeah, those outlets could do better in the corner, though not as big of a deal if one has a decent-length power cable for their appliance
I feel like it's easy to look at these Della Terras and go "it's just another stick and tin camper" But the more I've looked at them the more I realize they might actually be ahead of the curve in a lot of ways.. 80" long king/queen beds Enclosed docking station (even a simple one) Ladder Mount Goodyear Tires Some brands are doing SOME of those.. but they've put together a really strong "hit list" of features on these that's really earning my respect
The only thing I did not hear. No mention of a solar package. I would expect to pay a few thousand more. But the day with no solar. I think has passed. Did you mention it, and I just missed it?@@JoshtheRVNerd
Soo sweet!! I blame you for the reason I can’t make up my mind for any layout. I like pop ups, hybrids (x213), toy haulers, rampers, and this! Dang it josh
5:30 the openness helps for access with that couch right there 🛋 however I wouldn’t mind doing the sideways two step a bit after adding some store bought option that would fit providing me with an open underneath part for shoe as with drawers and/or a cabinet with shelves for extra storage (pantry) i.e. a door side credenza, especially providing a table top space to toss things upon entering to easily grab before exiting 🚶🏽 + I’d add some command strip hooks above it along the wall or under the control panel to hand jackets 👍🏽
I have just purchased a new camper that I plan on keeping for a very long time but I continue to watch your tour videos because I enjoy them…. Cooker hooker and my new fav…. Crap cap. LOL! thank you!
Hello, have said this before, will say it again...other brands could learn a thing or two from east to west...that bedroom door is #1 in most peoples book, so why other manufacturers haven't figured that out is beyond me. Yes definitely, a window in the door. Also, that wall in the bedroom, if it was blocked from the factory for a TV mount and hookups, even better. I actually looked at 2 used east to west solid sided trailers a few weeks ago close to me...I was happily surprised at how well they have held up after a few years. Sadly tho, I can buy a brand new one for what they wanted for the used ones almost dollar for dollar. I am a Winnebago fan, hands down, but they have priced me out of a purchase sadly, and a few others as well I fear...east to west in both their stick and tin as well as their solid sided trailers has this old man looking VERY hard at them to be my last rv I purchase due to both their low price points as well as their quality and attention to details. Another great video! Thank You, Sir!
Look at Flagstaff/Rockwood. Seriously...you'll get everything you want and need for much less than many others. Pay less, get more. Quality is top notch!
Always liked this layout. Wish more manufactures would offer this in a laminated option. Grey Wolf is the only one I know that does, in the Black Label option.
Thx Jason For clarity - the grey wolf kind of is and kind of isn't laminated The fiberglass skin itself is laminated to an offset double lauan backer But the "skeleton" of the RV doesn't change to aluminum/laminated walls. It's still a "stick built" structure with the fiberglass skin put on top of that
Sorry I'm late to comment on this video... I was camping. I really love this floorplan... I actually bought the Jayco version (Jay Flight SLX 232RB, now discontinued) a couple of years ago, and have used it for weekends and for serious long-distance travel. It's awesome for a couple, and is OK for guests... this floorplan rocks. There are definitely differences in execution between the 2 brands. Wins for the Della Terra: docking station, private bedroom, residential bed size, and cabinets over the sofa. Wins for my current rig: Window in entry door (frosted, but better than nothing), shelving unit\shoe garage beside the entry door, rear cargo bay with fridge, and a factory ladder. Interestingly, the awning on both trailers ends in more or less the same place... on the Jayco, it's to accommodate the rear cargo door, so it gets a pass from me :). Getting back to the point, if I'd been able to see a Della Terra 230 RB when I was shopping 2.5 years ago, I'd have had a really tough time making my choice... I like it that much.
I love the open area behind the dinette. I would put our dog crate there. Also needs a small outdoor kitchen and longer awning. But I love the interior color!
Love this TT, a few things I would like changed put outlets in the cubbies in the bedroom, a window in the door would be nice, if possible maybe a counter extension & move the black flush to the other side. Like always thanks for the great videos. This had been helpful trying to figure out the best TT to get the 1st time around.
Well Josh we pulled the trigger on this model. Will be picking it up soon from Bish's of Bellevue Nebraska. Thanks for the informative and entertaining video on this model. We have been watching you for years and now this 230RB will be ours! This is such a sensible couples camper. Thanks Josh! BTW Bish's of Bellevue is a first class group and would love to meet The Nerd!
Surprisingly spacious for no slides. I like the "flex space" behind the booth seat. Yum! Fried egg sandwiches with cheese, salami and a touch of mustard! Gourmet eating!
I'm just a simple boy. A fried egg or two that's been salt and peppered with mayo on white bread Super plain but man.. it takes me back to my childhood
Love this floor plan and the king size bed & Big bathroom is exactly what I've been looking for because I don't want a TT with bunks or slides,so this TT is just about perfect ,once they extend the awning, move the outlets in the bedroom, add a window in the entry door and add solar, and outdoor blackstone!😉 then it will be perfect 😁Thanks for all your hard work Josh you're the ABSOLUTE Best!
OK Josh.... This one is nice... Its not a super fancy pants model... But its not priced like that either!!!! The struts to hold the bed up is nice. The over all use of space and floorplan really works for the weight. Wish the shower was more of the square type, but I get what and why they did what they did, at least it has awesome head room. The storage in the main area is nice, and drawers!!!! The mount on the back for the ladder is an awesome feature, the speakers are in a great place, the awning coverage over the entry is great..... Not sure that I'm with you on the door window, but someone may want it... The oven should have an option to be the larger model, the plugs in the bedroom should absolutely be in the cutout area... Other than that... She really works!!! Thanks for showing this one Josh!!!!!!
What about an option for NO oven?? I know there's some areas where people NEED to make those biscuits in the morning but there's a lot of folks who also just want storage
I love that little spot back there by the bed-and I completely agree-the power plug/usb needs to be inside that little cubby. I keep my phone by my bed and I am a cpap user-also a reason to put power next to the machine so you don’t get tangled in the power cord.
Yep. Fried egg or scrambled egg sandwiches! Good childhood memories! I love this trailer! I would definitely get it with a queen bed for my personal use but I love the fact that it's a residential Queen length and not a camp Queen. As you know Josh I'm always commenting about how camp Queens are the bane of my existence because you have to either buy special sheets or mess with your standard sheets. I love the fact that this offers a sofa option well actually it's not an option but comes with a sofa but it would be wonderful if it had theater seat as an option. Most of the time in these smaller campers you only get a dinette for seating so having a sofa is awesome! An extra outlet in the kitchen maybe under the window would be great so that it would be there by that open counter space to make plugging in like a coffee pot a little bit easier. The only change in the bathroom I would make would be to either put a door on the storage cabinet or to take out the corner shower and sacrifice the linen cabinet for a rectangular shower space. I love the light bright colors inside and as far as the bedroom outlet placement that you asked, I can see advantages to putting them behind the cabinet as it would be easier if you were just plugging in your phone to charge or had another type of small electronic to plug in. I'm not sure if a CPAP would fit behind those cabinets or not but perhaps the reason they are out front is for room for that type of an item to be plugged in. The TV placement in the living room / kitchen is good as you can see it from the sofa as well as the dinette and I appreciate the fact that the storage under the dinette benches are pull out drawers so they are very easily accessible. All in all a really great trailer for a starter or a full-timer or like me who is on her own with just a couple of small dogs. I know they would appreciate the king size bed as they believe that their half of the bed comes out of the middle! Thank you for showing us this trailer Josh! Now go home and have an egg sandwich! 🥚🥪
Most Cherokee and Wildwood campers don't offer as many quality standard features like a porcelain toilet. This is an awesome no slide couple's camper that's just a longer awning, a decent bathroom fan and an attached ladder from 👍👍👍
Agree with you Josh, that the outlets should be tucked back behind the drawers. Makes it way more convenient for CPAP users. Thank you sir and God bless.
I like this! I prefer no slides. I agree, window in the door, extend the awning. Power supply in the bedside cubbies AND in front ... king bed - awesome! Thanks for the review!
A few things that I think would make it a real winner would be power outlets in the bedroom cubbies for C-PAP users. A small window in the door. Also, an option to change out oven for convection oven allowing for more above range storage and please take the shelf out of the cabinet near kitchen sink to store the trash can. Lastly, a slightly smaller kitchen sink to extend counter space or perhaps a two burner cooktop to allow for that much desired counter area. The lighter interior makes it look bigger and love no carpet! The private bedroom is a real bonus.
I really like this trailer. In my opinion it is everything done right. I like the bedroom having more privacy rather than a curtain or the door opening right there. Good storage. nice bathroom. I as well would like to see doors on those cupboards in bathroom.
Solid looking Camper. Yeah, having the power outlets next to the bed up in the cubbies seems like the more appropriate location. A full length awning is a must. Up grading the 2 vents to the max flow thermostat electric ones would be nice. As far as a window in the entry door....only needs to be big enough to allow you to determine who is knocking but has to has a shade. With the walkable roof, what kind of solar options are there? Up to a couple thousand watts of solar with lithium iron batteries for storage would be phenomenal. I did go look at the grey wolf you referenced...this camper is better overall especially for the value.
@@JoshtheRVNerd a tender seems to be a must. With that walkable roof, I'd be curious how hard it is to retrofit solar into the RV. Really appreciate all your hard work and have learned a lot thanks to your videos. Keep up the great work, Josh.
@@JoshtheRVNerd // I just watched your EAST/WEST video on 2 of their 5th wheels & this brand has quickly become my favorite (other than EMBER, but that’s apples & oranges IMO). 🤩 By The Way... they should be called West/East as the words are lipped from the actual direction as read from Left to Right = West to East 🆚 East to West 🧐
My mom packed fried egg sandwiches for my lunch in elementary school! They would be room temperature by lunch and I loved them! Seems weird today though. Thanks JTRVN
I really like East to West and while this floor plan isn’t right for us, it still shows E-W’s attention to the KISS method (keep it simple stupid). Simple, yet elegant flows thru all their designs and this trailer is no exception. My only wish for them is that they add a few more floor plans to their fiberglass trailer line up and add the Azdel type flooring like the Cougar trailers have.
It'll be interesting to see where composites go but I can't imagine stick and tin campers phasing out any time soon due to the significantly lower cost of production
Was loving this camper and layout until the bedside cabinet/nook. As a person that likes to have a small fan (and my phone) by me when i sleep, having a flat area with a plug is a must for me. I am confused by that small drawer configuration. Seems useless to me. Agree 100% on the window in the door. Should be standard. Also I understand trying to keep "entry level" campers as affordable as possible. But doesn't everyone eventually do the Fan-tastic upgrade eventually? Wish these were just factory installed at this point. LOVE the telescoping ladder mount, I hope the industry is moving towards this. Never towed a camper with the side camera, but ever since driving with our current rig with the rear camera, i'll never go without it. Not only for easy of backing into spots, but the ability to instantly see clearance of other vehicles while driving is SO nice. I know there is a bias towards them by the "old school" campers. Trust me, you'll love it.
I would prefer the outlets in the headboard pocket (and I suspect that's what's going to happen for them in the future), but I wonder if something like a power strip with the cord run under the mattress couldn't work well for you..
Josh: I like the East to West Della Terra 230RB No Slide RV a lot. It IS NOT “just “ a starter trailer. This is what a travel trailer should be. It’s a modest, unpretentious couple/grandparents RV that checks ALL the boxes on the rolling bed, head and mess checklist. If this had been at your Coldwater store a few years back, wife and I would have had a much harder purchasing decision. I like the enclosed docking station and the battery cutoff that’s not open to road and weather hazards. As to that open space to the left of the entry door, I’d suggest a small corner wall mounted coat closet with an open shoe garage underneath. The manufacture should add a high volume fan either in the bed compartment or in the main cabin area. Due to park water supply being mostly on the driver side, have some logistical reservations about the location of the black tank flush. Are you suggesting a water supply line from the outside shower location to the black tank flush inlet? Would NOT do it without a back flow preventer, and maybe not even then. Water would most likely have to come under the trailer to the tank flush. Dedicated hard point spot for a collapsible ladder is a nice feature. Can the oven be swapped out for storage space? If I need an oven, I’d reach for a Dutch oven first in the additional storage space. With the venting around the microwave, is it a convection microwave? The handle location on the black tank valve seems “odd”. Does it open only if the handle is pulled up? Can the entire valve assembly be rotated about 45 degrees to the rear so the handle is easier to access and operate? The plugs next to the bed aren’t really an issue. If wife or I want a plug in that cubby space, there’s always short extension cord somewhere in the RV that’ll fix the “problem”. Overall, it’s a very good trailer. But I'd sure like to see thsis floorplan put into production in in East to West's ALTA line with azdel, fiberglass skin and an aluminum frame . Respectfully, W.S.
I 100% agree, sir. This is a brand at which I originally turned up my nose and kind of scoffed. Admittedly I judged their book by its cover. Then, I got my hands on them this year. My eyes opened a bit. Then, I got to speak with their brand manager and was better able to understand the "why" behind the "what" they do. My eyes opened more. Recently I went thru some EtW fifth wheels. I had the same experience there. I had the same experience with Alta. This is a GOOD brand that's been painfully underrated. They're the dark horse RV brand where underestimating them would be a serious mistake I think. No swaptions on the oven unfortunately. I would love to see that -- even an oven DELETE option rather than ADDING an oven as an option. Might help with their production that way.. I'm not sure on the black tank setup you mentioned -- usually valves CAN be rotated but I'd need to review more closely before I can commit to an answer.
Two ways to do that here: 1.) Factory queen is available 2.) Shave the decking under the bed and swap in a queen bed. The bed "base" is queen sized so it's easily adjusted
I love this model. The floor plan is almost identical to my Springdale 240RBWE. It has some features that are better than mine. However I do wish it had floor ducted heat. Nothing better than waking up on a crisp morning with a heated floor to keep the tootsies warm. Lol
Yeah suuuuuper similar for sure! Cherokee also makes a good version of this one with big feeling open concept you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/XHn65puywgE/v-deo.html
You have no idea how much Peggy gets tortured when you come out with Nerdisms that my brain hooks on to. Crap cap. So, so, so many ways I can use that. Thank you, my friend.
I like the open area just inside the door. This is very nice camper. Love the bedroom door. I like the drawers underneath the dinette benches. There should have outlets in the pockets at the head of the bed. Wish the awning was longer. Like where they put the outside speakers.
Simple and nice. I like the open space and the separate bedroom. An idea for an option in the bedroom. Full over full bunk beds. Maybe🤔 For us grandparents who want to take the grandkids weekend camping to the beach.
I 100% judged east to west's book by its cover originally. Della Terra came first. I was like "Pft.. it's just a knock off wildwood" Then alta came and I was like "pft.. that's just a knock off Imagine" But.. then I finally got my hands on some and I started to see what they were doing. And frankly, I think they're AHEAD of the curve in a lot of areas. Even this "starter stick and tin camper" * 80" long beds with even a KING optoin * Enclosed bellies always * docking center * at least prep for portable ladders There's some GOOD things happening here
Would like to see more power outlets throughout.... will be looking at one of these gems next week in Roca, Ne. I can't believe some of the staff haven't heard of the 'Nerd!!
12:50 just over our weight limit. Nice layout though. Open floor is perfect for dog bed. I still want my microwave below the stovetop. Oh yea, two seniors with two cpaps want plugs near our pillows!
Thank you for showing this rv. My wife and I are entertaining the idea of our first travel trailer. She likes the looks of this but sadly you are nowhere near us. We would like to see a door with a window and at least the USB chargers in the pockets by the bed. We enjoy your videos.
YEEEESSSSS! This is what I wana see. I'm like you and would prefer a door on the bathroom storage. I wouldn't mind a small bench behind the dinette by the entry but a couple of cubes that you can use for storage or sitting can be easily purchased. I'm not a fan of that particular wood tone but thats just my opinion. Otherwise all in all great option.
Move window closer to door and dining closer to door About 12 to 14 inches and on bathroom wall towards dining table add a good sizedcountry that would be super cool
Very nice trailer! Good cargo capacity. Larger oven please! Looks like the space is there and 22" oven is mandatory for my future trailer. And could you squeeze in another 10 gals of fresh water? 100% agree with another commenter that flip up kitchen counter would be awesome. More work space for kitchen and would be nice for couch. Maybe mount it 2 or 3 inches lower than kitchen counter for dual use. Leave that nice space by door wide open! In fact please move fire extinguisher up high to get it out of the way. So many options for wheel chair or walker, dog crate, totes, homemade shelf to suit individual needs, and on and on. It's a great feature as is! Ambivalent on the plugs in bedroom. Might be nice to plug something in there without crawling into bed. More important is there a plug by dinette for computer? How about plug and/or USB by couch? Would be greatly appreciated! Overall great trailer! Have been looking at higher end off road trailers but admit that with just a few tweaks this trailer would do the job well!
I'd have to go hand-review again but I believe there is a set of household plugs near the dinette but I don't believe there are USBs... I could be wrong. Man I see a LOT of campers and it blends together!
I believe that the outlets in the bedroom area should probably be in the nook behind the cabinet. Another thing I’d like to see: instead of the sofa by the kitchen counter as shown, would it be possible to put an L-shaped sofa in there? It could still convert into a sleeping area but the way it is designed now, I wouldn’t be able to sit on the counter side of that sofa. Just a thought.
Really like the RV. Nice bed with room around it. Wished the kitchen had more storage and counter space. Not much at all. I wish it kind of had a slide out to make it feel more "roomie" but I dont know where. Anyways, I still like it, especially that big bathroom and elite TV placement.
I use the fridge as a pantry so the space behind the dinette is great for cooler. The windows are fantastic. The bed cubbies could use phone charger outlets but they are great for a bottle of water and a freedom seed launcher. I still believe ceiling vents should all have the big fan. The one thing I think it needs is at least a small solar package to maintain the battery. I too would like a window in the door, but the frosted window really isn't better than no window. Like you said, not perfect but it does a lot of things great.
I think using the fridge as a pantry is something people don't often consider. You CAN store dry goods in them. it doesn't matter if your box of mac and cheese is a little cold to the touch lol
@@JoshtheRVNerd most of my adventures are "off grid" and generator use is kept to a minimum, so the fridge is just shut off. The fridge is the perfect place for long storage of non-perishables because it doesn't attract mice.
Slam latches would have been nice, as well as a fan in the vent. Love the motion light in the bathroom and the power outlet in the dinette! Even my Flagstaff doesn't have that! Nice touch. LOVE the pockets at the head of the bed, but disappointed in the lack of power/USB outlets. YES...a SOLID bedroom door! Curtains are for windows not bedrooms. Refreshing to see they put the two-way fridge (even though it's 'optional') instead of that stupid battery sucking 12V one. I'd like to see a padded bench with shoe storage behind the dinette. Nice bathroom! I'd prefer a single-handle faucet though, a lot of water is wasted by trying to adjust the water temperature with two handles. HARD pass on the open cabinets! Prefer a double kitchen sink. Nice big storage compartment, and though it's not a Nautilus system, at least they do more than most and give you something resembling a docking station with a hot/cold spray port. AND...they used a decent spray nozzle and not that cheap aluminum finger-fryer that came with mine...I replaced mine with one from Lowe's. Nice thoughtful touch on this. Needs a ladder. Needs a longer awning! I hate the cold-only spray port on the outside...come on, put a hot/cold sprayer port outside! The sewer valve facing UPWARD is a deal-killer all by itself for me personally, I have bad shoulders and arthritis so contorting myself to open the valve simply would not be possible and this is really a head-scratcher to me...was this designed on a Monday or a Friday? Should use torsion axles, this is a small unit for spring suspension...too rough of a ride, your stuff will get thrown around pretty good. Put a window in the door...this looks unfinished. Overall a nice unit, old yet still a classic layout, , but they could stand to stop cutting corners and do it right, this one comes up a little short. These manufacturers REALLY need to take a look at what Flagstaff/Rockwood are doing (and HAVE been doing for years). This gets a 6 out of ten, but you of course get an 11 out of 10 for your videos! #Flagstaff Fan Forever. 😁
@@NYVET48TFW I think that's what EtW's brand manger is doing - a lot of the questions I ask and feedback I'm sourcing have been at his request he's *hawking* these comments buddy
Very nice camper. Yes window in the door would be great. A bigger awning if possible. Personally I would be plugging in my cpap in the bed side cubby. Although the power cord is long enough, it should be somewhere closer to that spot in my opinion. Otherwise very nice.
I do believe I have a new favorite. The area between the entry door and the dinette begs for a corner cabinet. just large enough for keys and USB outlet for my phone. I would prefer doors on bathroom storage. The power outlets need to be in the cubby. While I appreciate the finished pass-thru I disagree with use of the front wall, leave it open to follow the curve of the front. Please add a small wall to separate the docking station from the rest of the pass-thru. I would go with the true queen. Give me manual stabilizers instead of the optional powered version. I think a view-window in the door is a must. Stick and tin is fine, I can live without azdel. Personally, since I'm single, the jack-knife would be going away. In its place would be a wall-hugger recliner, a stand by the outside wall and another to house the heat duct.
this is "THE" layout. 1. door to the bedroom with both being able to get out on their side. 2 still having a couch for guests to visit.3 no slides. 4 heated underneath. love it!
Yeah sometimes no-slides is just easy and perfect
I love this one for a solo person. The empty space behind the dinette would be the perfect spot for pet dishes.
Oh that's a great idea!
In the bedroom yes either move the plug. One or both. OR ... Place a cable tube. Many people have long enough charging cables that they could stretch it to the open space. Yes!!!! 18ft awning and a window in the door. Would make this camper go home with me tonight.
TY Jamie. This is good info we can share with EtW
Im going to agree with this commenter too.
I'm a cabinetmaker. I'd add a 16" or 18" wide 12" deep semi-wardrobe against the outer wall with a place to hang coats/etc above a 2 or three shelf shoe garage...
TY Sir.
I don't know if I've told you overtly but buddy.. I so appreciate all your regular visits and our little chats here
butter fried egg sandwiches on white bread - boy talk about a childhood memory
yeeeeeeessssssss
6 things to be perfect:
1. Vent fan in the bathroom
2. Pocket door for the bedroom
3. Door window
4. Longer awning
5. Ladder
6. I agree about the plugs in the bedroom
Man thing is.. most of that is VERY do-able.. the awning is the biggest hiccup
Agree with all Particularly the pocket door!!
Other than that --->SUPER HUGE PROPS for East To West!
They REALLY knocked it out of the park with this unit!
5 STARS! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Thanks again Uncle Josh! 👍😊
Wow.. TY Moe! :)
Couch is just screwed down and could be removed
On the other hand, wood framed trailers are generally more modification friendly.
Almost perfect but would prefer twin beds.
Overall, I like. :-)
Things I would change:
1. Relationships require a bit of learning and a lot of compromise! ;-)
OH! And kudos to whoever handles your internet stuff. The link to your older video and the Bish's website was flawless. Return journey to this video was equally comfortable! 👍

Edit: Auto-correct GLARED at me! Not nice!
Autocorrect can restaurant in peace lol ;)
You mention that you sew. My wife has a sewing business and we were thinking about traveling in this trailer, but were would you sew at the dinette? How do you do it?
@@NabichtStudios If we're some place with a picnic table and the weather is nice, I clean it and cover it and work there. Be sure to take clips to hold the covering in place in multiple places.
A personal folding table also works well and is cleaner. :-)
Otherwise, the dinette it is!

This one checks all the boxes for me.
Really like this camper. Trash can, shoes and pet bowls behind dinette. Thanks for sharing Josh👍👍
My eyebrows went up reading your behind the dinette ideas. Love it
I prefer the no slides. Mostly only due to a quick overnight , afternoon nap , couple hour relaxation or some lazy loitering at parking lots. Yes, to a door window.
TY. I hear they're working on making a door window happen for future models based on feedback like this! It DOES make a difference! :)
I use collapsible baskets that fold out wide enough to stay inside the bathroom cubbies. It works great. I also roll my towels and can fit 10 total using just 2 of the cubbies. We love this camper. It’s perfect for a couple.
Handy TY!
The ladder mount, is something everyone should be doing. At least this company is. You are right about the plug in the bedroom. For the price point. I like it.
Yeah, even if they aren't going to include the ladder by default, including standardized mounting setup(or at least clearly defined mounting points) would be a blessing for customers and dealers alike... as well as manufacturers because they can just do the mounting stuff without having to necessarily include the ladder itself
And yeah, those outlets could do better in the corner, though not as big of a deal if one has a decent-length power cable for their appliance
I feel like it's easy to look at these Della Terras and go "it's just another stick and tin camper"
But the more I've looked at them the more I realize they might actually be ahead of the curve in a lot of ways..
80" long king/queen beds
Enclosed docking station (even a simple one)
Ladder Mount
Goodyear Tires
Some brands are doing SOME of those.. but they've put together a really strong "hit list" of features on these that's really earning my respect
The only thing I did not hear. No mention of a solar package. I would expect to pay a few thousand more. But the day with no solar. I think has passed. Did you mention it, and I just missed it?@@JoshtheRVNerd
@@kenp9469 Don't think I did. These have a roof prep plug but that's all the do CURRENTLY
I'll be shocked if they don't start offering
Soo sweet!!
I blame you for the reason I can’t make up my mind for any layout.
I like pop ups, hybrids (x213), toy haulers, rampers, and this!
Dang it josh
Lol I feel the same way!
Sometimes people say "Every time you post something I feel like I have to add another to my list"
Powered roof vents and outlets next to the head of the bed would be fantastic.
It’s cute for a the size. I’d put a bigger TV in there. Still, the light colors and natural light from the windows make it less cramp feeling.
Now that's a great little camper the only thing that I'd change is put twin beds in
I have just purchased a new camper that I plan on keeping for a very long time but I continue to watch your tour videos because I enjoy them…. Cooker hooker and my new fav…. Crap cap. LOL! thank you!
Thank you so much for watching. What did you get?
@@JoshtheRVNerd 2023 Jayco 212 QB. Love the farmhouse cabinets!

EtW is seriously growing on me
Always liked this layout. Wish more manufactures would offer this in a laminated option. Grey Wolf is the only one I know that does, in the Black Label option.
Thx Jason
For clarity - the grey wolf kind of is and kind of isn't laminated
The fiberglass skin itself is laminated to an offset double lauan backer
But the "skeleton" of the RV doesn't change to aluminum/laminated walls.
Wow TY for all this! Awesome input from a real owner!
My grandparents has the predecessor to your 232RB when they stopped camping
I love the open area behind the dinette. I would put our dog crate there. Also needs a small outdoor kitchen and longer awning. But I love the interior color!
Darn it! I liked the cerulean blue.
Perfect layout! Just enough room for couples.
Love floor plan & Kiss method to their design! One thing would Stop me from owning is No Window in door!!! Thanks for great videos👍!!!
Glad to be of service, Michelle! Feel free to drop me questions/comments/etc any time and I'll do my best to assist!
TY Tim! I hope to be able to visit there some day for sure
I really like this camper, but yes electrical in the cubbies by the bed. And a window in the door. That empty space would be time out spot.
time out spot lol
In a couple's camper I feel like only a husband would be using it
@@JoshtheRVNerd yes I would be. LOL 😆
Surprisingly spacious for no slides. I like the "flex space" behind the booth seat.
Yum! Fried egg sandwiches with cheese, salami and a touch of mustard! Gourmet eating!
I'm just a simple boy. A fried egg or two that's been salt and peppered with mayo on white bread
Super plain but man.. it takes me back to my childhood
I like the space between the couch and the dinette! Leave it alone! 😁
fair enough!
Ty Troy!!
We just bought the 2023, they moved the the receptacles in the bedroom, put solar on our roof and a window in the entry door.
I agree with a window in the door , I like to be able to see outside as well as in when I approach the door . Another 👍 presentation Josh .
TY Michael! :)
TY Janice. It feels like a better spot to me
Yep. I would definitely need the vent fan
Fried egg samitches! Yum! Been eating those for 65 years! Wow, I'm old!
Egg cooked over hard between 2 pieces of buttered toast, yum!!! Grape jelly optional but recommended :)
Haven’t tried the jelly but I may have to
Most Cherokee and Wildwood campers don't offer as many quality standard features like a porcelain toilet. This is an awesome no slide couple's camper that's just a longer awning, a decent bathroom fan and an attached ladder from 👍👍👍
Yeah for "just a stick and tin" I feel like they're really hitting the biggest and most important items for sure
Agree with you Josh, that the outlets should be tucked back behind the drawers. Makes it way more convenient for CPAP users. Thank you sir and God bless.
Ty
I like this! I prefer no slides. I agree, window in the door, extend the awning. Power supply in the bedside cubbies AND in front ... king bed - awesome! Thanks for the review!
My pleasure, Cheryl! Thank you
Oh, drawers under the dinette! Heck yes! 😍
Rare find in this class and budget range too
A few things that I think would make it a real winner would be power outlets in the bedroom cubbies for C-PAP users.
TY Belinda!
I really like this trailer. In my opinion it is everything done right. I like the bedroom having more privacy rather than a curtain or the door opening right there. Good storage. nice bathroom. I as well would like to see doors on those cupboards in bathroom.
Wish the awning was longer. I would also put a small cabinet with a counter top in the area behind the dinette.
They are not currently offering solar but I expect that to change moving forward. Even a battery tender with low wattage would be welcome
@@JoshtheRVNerd a tender seems to be a must. With that walkable roof, I'd be curious how hard it is to retrofit solar into the RV.
Really appreciate all your hard work and have learned a lot thanks to your videos. Keep up the great work, Josh.
10:58 I like when under a bed platform is finished & well trimmed out 👍🏽 👍🏽
12:40 & the pass through storage 🙌🏽
It's THOSE little details I appreciate on something people would normally just look at and say it's just a stick and tin
@@JoshtheRVNerd // I just watched your EAST/WEST video on 2 of their 5th wheels & this brand has quickly become my favorite (other than EMBER, but that’s apples & oranges IMO). 🤩
By The Way... they should be called West/East as the words are lipped from the actual direction as read from Left to Right = West to East 🆚 East to West 🧐
Wow I really like this one too!!
I can't tell you enough how wonderful I think you are have a great day!
Thank you so much!
Agree about moving the power outlets in the bedroom and the larger awning would be great. Also, I would like to see better window shades.

Thank you Joah. I asked for this one awhile back. It is a great looking floor plan. I love the roof ladder option.
That must be why I had it on my hit list! :)
Love the RV. Love the blue microwave. You have done a great job with this video. I love everything in this RV. Keep up the great work.
Microwave isn't actually blue btw - that's just the protective peel-off film. It's stainless btw
Agreed on the bedroom outlet location to the cubby
TV hook ups in bedroom would make it great, and the extra space near the front door? A small corner bar would fit that nice. Perfect trailer.😁
You know.. I never considered no bedroom TV hookups
Love this video , the dinette would suit me better if it were L shaped, as it would offer more move ability around the floor space and seem bigger
I agree. Upgrade this just as bit.
I love this one, full queen bed would do me fine.
Two ways to do that here:
1.) Factory queen is available
2.) Shave the decking under the bed and swap in a queen bed.
The bed "base" is queen sized so it's easily adjusted
It's nice. I too like the open plan. I've decided I want an lighter weight RV with SUV towable. Thanks Josh.
My pleasure! :)

I would like if they put some netting over the open linen cabinet that way stuff can't fall out in transit. Overall it's a great RV.
Agreed. I think some simple, light weight cargo netting would likely work pretty well
Definitely need power in cubbies for CPAP users, great floor plan. 👍
Yes! Move the electric outlet to the head of the bed.
👍🏻
I think they might be doing that this coming year
I would have a full size bed and larger side cabinet s ,thanks so much for showing this great TT.

Yes I agree there needs to be a window 🪟 in the bathroom plus max air vent fans throughout the trailer.
Very nice! Moving the outlets in the bedroom would be a thing I'd like to see done.

Pretty nice set up. Would be nice if it had a pantry of some kind. Overall, still quite a nice trailer.

I like the open area just inside the door. This is very nice camper. Love the bedroom door. I like the drawers underneath the dinette benches. There should have outlets in the pockets at the head of the bed. Wish the awning was longer. Like where they put the outside speakers.
I really like this one.
Simple and nice. I like the open space and the separate bedroom. An idea for an option in the bedroom. Full over full bunk beds. Maybe🤔 For us grandparents who want to take the grandkids weekend camping to the beach.
Interesting bedroom idea...

Cool beans. Love that bathroom. A very reasonable weight for it’s size too. I had only heard of this manufacturer recently but it seems good. 👍🏻
I 100% judged east to west's book by its cover originally. Della Terra came first. I was like "Pft.. it's just a knock off wildwood"
Then alta came and I was like "pft.. that's just a knock off Imagine"
But.. then I finally got my hands on some and I started to see what they were doing. And frankly, I think they're AHEAD of the curve in a lot of areas.
Even this "starter stick and tin camper"
* 80" long beds with even a KING optoin
* Enclosed bellies always

Awesome. TY :)
Otherwise all in all great option.
oooh! Bench + cubes.. i like that
I'm a sucker for those wildwood-style storage cubes that can collapse/remove easily
Well now that there 8s a very nice lookin Travel Trailer by East 2 West! 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍
Yes indeed!
I believe you uncle Josh! You didn't ask anyone to pull your finger.
No need. I pulled it myself ;)
I like L-Sofas.. I don't think one can fit there there. Not one I've seen offered within the industry to date anyway
I like the floor plan .
It's just no-nonsense classic camping. Sometimes just because something isn't "new" doesn't mean it's not great
Really like the RV.
lol hard to compare a stick and tin to a Flagstaff man. They're practically in a class of their own
@@JoshtheRVNerd true...but why not TRY to make a better product?
@@NYVET48TFW I think that's what EtW's brand manger is doing - a lot of the questions I ask and feedback I'm sourcing have been at his request

Very nice camper. Yes window in the door would be great. A bigger awning if possible. Personally I would be plugging in my cpap in the bed side cubby. Although the power cord is long enough, it should be somewhere closer to that spot in my opinion. Otherwise very nice.
Ty for this. I'm not a CPAP user so I don't always have a good understanding of the logistics of using them
I'm impressed with this model. Never considered them before; can't wait for this land to sell so I can get one.
