He did do Penn & Teller. He didn't speak, it was very simple, funny, and he stumped them, so he won! He's really amazing and funny, and Simon is right, he is smart. Simon really likes him and that's great to see.
2nd trick "crate of death" has been performed so many times before, so its hard to be impressive to me.. woulda been a little cooler to have done a costume change into what he was wearing on the prerecorded set piece he pops out of.. and theres an obvious reason the camera is angle right in front and to the viewers right (crate left) as opposed to seeing him actually enter the crate.. wont give away secrets but its obvious... Darcy Oake has done this trick on the very show 5 years ago and Simon has seen it before
He should not have won the show. Same old tricks presented differently. No wow factor. Sydnie touched everyone’s soul with every performance. After Shim Lim, magicians have to be better than this.
Ok, so I watched Syd having not watched this show. Then I saw he was runner up, so I came here to see what he does. Audition? Most predictable, easiest magic trick ever. The sleight of hand is so basic. Flip over the card before giving it back to them to hold? That’s like the easiest trick to learn in all of magic. I haven’t watched the rest of his performances… but how in the world did he get SECOND? I’ve done a little bit of magic in my time… and nothing major. But give me two weeks of nothing but free time, and I’ll have this exact routine down. He’s a decent performer, but not worth being a finalist unless this year’s talent pool was quite low
Your magic is brilliant; your personality is really refreshing; I like that you keep it quiet, calm and clean!

That was a joke. He spoofed the appearance on his channel with some clever green screening and editing.
i can predict whats going to happen but i still dont know how he did it
he should have won this show is so rigged
