Wrestling Bios' Reliving The War takes a look at the WWF vs WCW Monday Night War that took place during the mid 90s - early 2000s. With WWF Raw and WCW Nitro airing at the same time on Monday Nights, fans had a choice to make, do they watch the WWF show on the USA Network or do they switch to TNT to check out WCW and the nWo? Reliving The War looks at each and every show that aired during one of wrestling's most popular and lucrative eras.
This week, WWF Raw is from the Manhattan Centre and a few visitors show up. Paul E. Dangerously and ECW have accepted the challenge and we have ECW superstars taking part in a WWF Raw broadcast. Sabu, The Eliminators, The Dudleys, Taz, Raven, the bWo and more all make appearances on Raw. The show is headlined by a WWF match however; The Undertaker vs Faarooq.
On Nitro, Lex Luger and The Giant are in the main event but Eric Bischoff reminds Luger that he shouldn't have competed at SuperBrawl. Luger and The Giant give up their tag belts however they manage to get themselves involved in a huge main event at WCW Uncensored 1997, Luger wants a Team WCW vs nWo tag match where all the belts are on the line. Nitro ends with a huge revelation that surprises a lot of WCW fans.

Looked at phone and saw that a new episode of Reliving the War is up. I actually said out loud: "Damn I love Thursdays."
I'm not looking forward to catching up to weekly uploads, this binge has been exquisite.
Was hoping for an ECW intro remix on this one and I wasn't disappointed, let's go!
Yes beautifully remixed!
Literally paused the video to make/seek a similar comment. That opening gave me a MASSIVE CASE OF HORSEMEN BUSINESS in my knickers!!!! Let's goooo!!!
Even though the ecw theme at the time was thunderkiss
“Horseman business “ is my new favourite euphemism
Mine too
Seeing the Horsemen giving each other the business, instead of conducting it, brings a tear to my eye.
The Four Horsemen of the 1990's really don't count
@@stephentaylor6617 They are part of horsemen lore, if only to show, how great that stable got booked prior!
Almost anything that was done with the horsemen after the NWO angle startet has been absymal.
Welcome to the best highlight of the day of every Wrestling Bios fan, Reliving The War. The ECW remix at the beginning was a sick tune I can’t lie. Keep up the great work Wrestling Bios and thanks for making my Thursday afternoon so great!
The remixes are always good.
ECW ECW
This was my first exposure to ECW. I was hooked ever since.
This video was EXTREMEly well made. The funny thing is have been watching random Raws on the WWE network and this one came up
No one:
Wrestling bios on Thursdays: “you want a war? Well you’re gonna get one!”
Not on the Network,.
on UA-cam, where it matters.
The greatest era is wrestling when it was WWE vs WCW with ECW in the mix. Proud and blessed to grow up to that era.
Yeah, I watch ECW along with this series.
Wow, Goldust was blown out of his mind, doesn't even look like he knew where he was or what he was doing.
So glad that he got himself sober, healthy, and happy. It’s a dark industry.
You don't know the half of it
@@zemox2534 tell us about it
Especially when your dad is/was a legend
I busted out laughing hard when I heard "Spring board tea bag"! LoL 😂😂😂😂 😂
Once you're subscribed to wrestling bios you're subscribed to wrestling bios 4 LIFE
The Ecw theme mixed with Raw was awesome
8:52 Lmao, The Camera man I guess thought it was really Sting. It Stuck on him instead of panning the crowd
Been wanting to say this forever but this was the first wrestling show I was at WCW. And caught the show in sac the next year aswell. Wish I would have caught a WWF show in sac at this time
916 yeeeeee!!!! Lol u got atleast 2followers @wrestlingbios out here in the city of trees.... Aha keep putting up fantastic content that really takes me bak...💯👍👌
He called his finisher "the train wreck?“ when it so easily could have been called " the end of the line "
That’s awesome.
I’m from Sacramento, and back in elementary I remember some of my friends going to see that airing of Nitro live at Arco Arena if I recall, a buncha them constantly would hit the “nWo 4 life” on us as their “flex” cause they got to go and some of us couldn’t. So much nostalgia hitting me from this era.
I don't normally comment this early in the viewing, but as *soon* as I saw that ECW logo in the thumbnail I knew we were in for something special this week!
STOKED we're in 1997; LOVE that ECW remix intro!
Notable Sidenote : pat Tanaka came out with Bill Goldberg’s Theme Song. I thought this is important nice side information
Headbangers underrated for what they brang to WWF, really fit the time!
Ken Shamrock really got The Rock over and their rivalry was awesome.. showed rockys mean side
A someone who watched ECW after school in the 90's, I've been looking forward to this episode for a long time.
I remember ECW used to come on the TV channels that I had to place my antenna at funky locations to watch it. When ECW showed up on RAW it rocked me and my friend's week. All we talked about in school was all the possible matches we'd get to see in the future!
Keep up the great work Wrestling Bios! You're helping me dig up old wrestling memories that were long buried.
We had to wait till like 2 or 3 am to watch it in Atlanta, but always worth it
Man the ECW theme with Union Underground sounds awesome
YES! Another legendary WWF 1997 moment captured by WrestlingBios again lets go! Always making Thursdays worth it.
That was a damn good episode of Raw. If only 2006's WWECW was even half as good as what was seen from ECW in Raw 1997.
Part of my Friday morning routine. Reliving the war and a coffee before I go to work. Gives me that Friday feeling.
incredible ECW intro, reliving the war is the best show in wrestling internet history.
After countless hours of Horsemen business, I can finally calm down and Relieve The War. Let's Go!
Killer intro to the video as always. The ECW interruption is awesome!
Here's a fun tidbit about the sunny vs Marlena arm wrestling match. I went to a house show 4 days after this on February 28, 1997 and on the card was this same arm wrestling match between the two. And they did the exact same segment to a tee. The powder to the face, savio Vega came out, goldust came out for the save. Totally identical to what they did on raw.
I think it's pretty typical for the Non-televised Show to take a spot and just repeat it in different town. It probably got done in couple places.
That’s pretty much how all house shows were leading up to bigger events
That's how wwf killed whatever was left of kayfabe.
They pretty much did the same thing with The Kat and Marlena/Terri Runnels.
Loved the ECW Invasion Storyline in 1997! 20 year old Me in 1997 went Crazy over this!!!!
I started watching this series just over a month ago and man, it's been fun seeing the Monday Night War in such a way, it's always such a huge talking point about wrestling so it's nice to see just how they paired against each other. Wonderful work Bios.
Back when wrestling was good.
Somehow I always forget when it's Thursday, then I scroll youtube and I see this. Fkin gold brother keep up the great work
I remember being bored during this Nitro and flipped it over to see the ECW invasion and it was pretty cool seeing that.
Thoroughly enjoyable episode again. Loving the trip down memory lane. Anyway I'm off to conduct Horseman business 🙌
My fav part of this Raw was the run-in of the Sandman and how (on the original edit) Dreamer's Alice in Chains theme was playing. It all felt so real and believable like the way a rival company SHOULD invade. You saw WWF on the aprons but the guys in the ring, the music, the fans, it was all pure ECW and it felt amazing.
I aint watching Modern Wrestling, but every week i'm looking forward to RtW !!!
The WWE really Dropped the Ball with Tazz … 🤦🏿♂️
Right
@WrestlingBios Have you ever thought reviewing ECW? Whenever i watch the Monday Wars I'm also watching what ECW does the next day. Either way thanks for the great content brother!
omg yesssss be sure to get the ecw restoration project Bios
😂😂😂Two of my favorites :
Conducting Horsemen business and
The Amazing French Canadians No not the Québecers The Amazing French Canadians
Found this series only last month and now I am finally caught up with it. As a young wrestling fan who was born in the 2000's, this series is giving me the opportunity of living the best era of wrestling history. I am learning many new things about the 90's wrestling and many great wrestlers. Thank you so much for this amazing content. Hope you continue this until the last nitro.
Love when my phone says “Wrestling Bios has uploaded a new video”. Keep up the awesome amazing work bud. I’m a fan for life.
That was an awesome Remix with that ECW intro mixed with the Nitro and Raw
17:38, Best highlight was the "Flying TEABAAAAAAAAG ✈️🍵👜!" LEGENDARY! 🤣🤣🤣
Reliving the war is awesome but the icing on the cake is your commentary 👍🏽
Ecw invasion, l.o.d. Returned! What a raw
You can see that Macho and Elizabeth were genuinely happy to see each other.
RIP to 2 of the GOATs of all time🙏💕
I want too thank you so much Wrestling Bio. This was the best times of my life as kid and I want too thank you for revisting this gold!!
Paul Heyman knew to stay away from the “Rocky” Kid.
I remember watching this live and when Sabu botched that dive off the raw sign I really thought he was injured.
Another Ultra Facts about Ultraman: The Manga/Anime Kinnikuman was based off Ultraman but the storys would later transition into wrestling. Kinnikuman's Son KinnikuMantaro had his name based off Ultraman Taro.
PS: In American Kinnikuman Nisei (the successor to the original Kinnikuman Series) was called Ultimate Muscle:The Kinnikuman Legacy. It use to air on the Foxbox in the early 2000s.
The way you mix themes in this video series is fuckin amazing.
I love the ECW touch added to the Reliving The War theme!!! Always top notch content my friend 👍🏿
Awesome remixes as always. I’m stoked that I get to catch up on these tonight!
Another great video. Brings back so much childhood memories. Thank you so much.
Greatest music mashup ever. Thank you brother.
That’s crazy I forgot Saturn was part of the invasion and wasn’t in WCW yet. I for some reason thought he had already gone to WCW. What a shock my memories of being 12 aren’t super clear haha…I swear I watch this series and think “man I haven’t thought of that since I originally watched this episode”. I feel old haha
Ecw invasion was literally the best part of what was a not so good raw along with the return of lod which at that time was nice to see.
I love this channel so much, every bit of content you produce is just Ace, i cant thank you enough
Raw was played before what looks like a small art house theater in a small town. Nitro looks like it’s in a sports stadium. Hard to believe how the ‘war’ went.
It should have been RAW homecoming
man this is bringing me back. got my bowl of lucky charms and ready to watch
My buddy got stabbed last night... and this really helps me too keep my focus as morbid as it may seem. It's keeping me sane...
Let's hear it for a classic spring board tea bag! 🤣
Ecw was so good at this time
Yes ! The best
Thanks for uploading the content keep them coming man...
I’m so invested in this series that when it ends I may cry for a couple days then get mad at the world and stop watching UA-cam. Hahahaha love your content man. Keep’em coming and I’ll keep watching.
This week’s intro remix is the sickest yet! Love it!
Intro Remix!
I can’t wait to buy a RTW box set!
It was so much more entertaining then than wwe is now
You took the words right outta my mouth @wrestlingbios the split screen promos always show up in ECW matches.
Greatest video segment on the internet. You deserve an award for director of the year. The excitement i get when i see a new video game changing.. i look forward to all videos please keep the series going after the mondsy night war
The man deserves more subscribers! doing such a great job.
I love the ECW theme!
Notable Side-note 2 :
the reason why hardly any Top Guys were present today apart from undertaker was that the germany tour was taking place at the same time. all champions were in germany. the wwf was smart to use this moment and bring in the ecw. so you had a good program without the top stars including Bret hart, Austin, Owen hart , Maivia etc
Yet, the Germany episode of RAW will take place next week. It was the worst RAW in history cause they were prepping for the change to RAW is WAR the other week. The only bright spot that we got in Germany was the British Bulldog winning the European championship in a classic with Owen Hart.
The spring board tea bag absolutely needs to be in a regular move set
I thought that Luger was a failure but after watching RTW I started appreciating him now
He was crazy over in spring and summer 97.
Ultra man and ECW!
What a time to be alive.
The episode RAW goes...EXTREME!!!
We can clearly see Vince knew he had to up his game, bringing in Chyna, ecw, LOD. Etc
😂😂😂Joe Gomez
I was even thrown off
Plus I’m loving these intro remixes
Raw and ECW themes 🔥 🔥
That ECW/Raw intro was so satisfying. Your videos are always enjoyable, favorite channel on UA-cam. Now, I'm off to take care of some Horseman Business. 🤘
Man I still remember that WWF show like it was yesterday and then when the king came down to fort Lauderdale in ECW that was amazing
An amazing episode, it seems RAW got took to the EXTREME, keep up the amazing work
Nothing beats realiving the war then conducting some horseman business. That's why Thursday is my favorite day of the week
Damn that Intro was awesome. Made me go listen to ECW Theme! Cheers
31:45 I’d love to see a shoot fight between Shamrock and Ron Simmons. DAMN!
A lot of people say Vincent is when the nWo became bloated, and that’s fair but I feel like once Macho went it really changed things. Felt like that’s when guys started to join cause they knew that’s the only way to get in with creative. Everything else was secondary
great remix of the opening theme
Such a great 4th dimensional look at the Monday Night War in realtime, as we weren't able to see it without the Internet, or two VCR's going at the same time. WrestlingBio's is the best!
Another awesome RTL I'm always a big fan of the channel
Yes! More ECW on Wrestling Bios!
I joke, obviously you work hella hard and I'm grateful for it, I just love this era of ecw and would love to see a wrestling bios style brake down of ECW circa 96
My favorite UA-cam notification of the week! 100/10
Thank you for making my Friday morning run on the treadmill worth it!
listening to this intro mash up was the hardest head bop of my day
This episode was really good. That intro song was lit
I never felt like Macho really fit in with the nwo
With the exception of the DDP feud
The kid staring at the camera 😂😂😂😂
Been looking forward to this one for a while......thumbs up before hitting the play button..always many thanks for this show my favourite channel for years
The music on this channel is unparalleled.
Trying to figue out how to make ITS THE YET-TAY my ringtone
