I have watched your videos for years, owned VHS of your hunts where you would pick up Wyatt and bring him to the kill. Holy shite I was hoping to see Wyatt in one of the frames. Man, so much time has passed! I see the passion for the hunt is still there after many years! Congrats. I have been on the fence for a long time relative to switching to traditional. I think I am going to make the switch. The problem is, what to get! I am eyeballing Tolkie

I didn't get a shot at a buck in our Michigan Archery season but on Friday morning was able to get a buck with my Marlin 1894 .357 Your video is the best I have seen, very fine job Sir and congrats. Great set up. On private property, I cut cedar branches and shrouded my tree stand so I wouldn't get sky lined. My stand was 8 feet off the ground and had two different bucks within 25 yards, but I had already filled my tag. 12 to 15 feet is about as high as I go. Too high can make for difficult shot angles and can actually reduce your shooting lane options. Great deer with any weapon, but amazing kill with a recurve.

All you need to do now is to take it to the next level and make your own self bow, Osage would be awesome. it is a journey that steps everything up even higher and higher. And it is very easy to do if I can do it. yes, cover is so important and cedar is the best. Cedar behind you, in front of you, all around you. yeah, make your bow, your string and your arrows then git it done Brother!

All the stands I've ever hunted have been no more then 8 ft up...never understood these guys that go 15-20+ ft up. Unsafe with very little upside. Never made sense to me. Congrats!
