The Conservatives ’suffering’ from Reform’s rise in the polls | Joe Twyman

- “Reform have always been very good in mopping up votes of the disenchanted, the disenfranchised, the distrusting, the disapproving. They didn’t create this wave, but they’ve always been very good at riding it into the beach.”
Reform’s publicity through Nigel Farage has helped them “surge” in the polls, says Deltapoll director Joe Twyman.

I’ve voted Tory all my life. No longer. I’m voting Reform! 🇬🇧
Same here.
Good stuff, that's a vote for Labour ;)
The Conservatives, are suffering because they have been woeful
But....but....but...just hours ago you said Reform popularity % had ´dropped´
🤭
Dont forget people Times Radio is funded by Murdoch,
Doesnt matterwho they are funded by if all the staff are lefties.
Yes News Corp

@@cybergornstartrooper2157 Ofcom is part of the permanent state put in place by Blair. No need for them.
When folk say they haven't made up their minds, I think it means they simply don't want to say.
Because when they all say Reform, the media labels them wacist.
Shy reformers when you pry into it. In my area it used to be a labour strong hold but now people want reform. If you come out and say I'm voting reform they do as well. Scared to be called racist when they arnt at all. Red and blue have betrayed the country and now people have a real choice for once.
No. They are the 33% who won't bother voting.
The ''shy Tory'' helped John Major win a shock victory in 1992. I'm not saying that the Tories are going to win in 2024, but do not be surprised if they do better than the polls are predicting.
No, it means people are waiting until the last moment to vote tactically to keep the right out.
Proportional representation is now a must. Get rid of the corrupted FPTP
FPTP is done. Referendum on the voting system must be on the cards now.
We've all given it a good run and it's failed us, the two main parties are collectively responsible for the demise of the UK, we don't want that anymore so it's Reform.
The Conservatives are suffering from the effects of having ignored the wishes of the people who voted for them. It’s that simple.
Northern voters won't forget labour trying to get us back into the eu and sabotage brexit. They have lost the Northern working mans trust.
@@1ForTheShieldzdefinitely up here was always a safe labour seat. Everyone i have met are voting Reform 👍

Reform will do a lot better than people think.
I agree. At least 10% I think.
The worst of the Tories needed a new home. Reform is it.
@@DRKrust492 You mean the best, the worst will stay in the tories with the same dumb scam of the pointless net zero virtue signal as Labour, and make everyone poorer for nothing.
I'm saying they'll get a handful of seats the Labour lead is being downplayed by the media .
@@ScruffyTubbles
They'll do slightly better than UKIP in 2015 so 14-15%
The shock will be if the Lib Dems become the Opposition.
if that happens - then suddenly the entire balance of this countries politics changes
The "One nation" tories - socially liberal but economically capitalist - are either staying with the Tories or not voting this time. With the Lib Dems as Opposition and getting the airtime they deserve - if the Tory party goes right with Braverman or similar after the election many of that 20% or so of the electorate will jump ship to the Lib Dems, leaving Reform and a right-wing Tory party fighting for crumbs over 15% of the vote. Which I don't think is Farages plan at all.
I was Labour for.30 years. Let down by them as a kid as well before I child vote. So 50 years in all. No more, now I see reform are the party of the people, labour don't speak for the working man anymore they are for.gazza, tax for for thier buddies and destroy ambition. 50 years for me to realise they are targeting thw average guy not multi billion companies not billionaires. They are targeting people who are trying to save for retirement, working long hours, days travelling for work. They don't care about small businesses. I realised with ir35 tories hate small business and no covid support. This country deserves better than labour and tory. Time for the rise of reform.

The question I keep asking about the Conservatives is this:
Why did they not do more to counteract the electoral threat of Reform some time ago when they were starting to emerge onto the scene?
Now the the right-wing vote is badly split, and with our FPTP voting system may remain so for a generation.
The Tories lack of action will surely go down as one of the greatest strategic blunders in British politics. 🤔

Trouble at mill
Farage could be prime minister within 2 years even less than that, it is very possible and it can happen. But only if reform voters be rational and sensible about how they going to vote and vote tactically to avoid splitting the vote in some seats. The first thing that must happen to get Farage be PM in less than 2 years instead of 5 years long of catastrophic irreversible damage that will be caused by labour if they win majority is that reform and tory should come with sensible and practical deal between Reform lead by Farage and tory on Farage terms to avoid splitting the votes in some seats.this way there will be 2 scenarios in this election either labour win with no majority or tory win with no majority.First scenario if labour will win but not majority or even better might be hung parliament in this situation labour will be forced under pressure to call early election within 2 years even less because they will not be able to pass most of their lefty legislations they intent and their win will be meaningless that means for reform they will have their chance and they will be more ready and can win the election and Farage can be PM within 2 years even less instead waiting long 5 years of catastrophic irreversible damage to our country and society and it will be beyond repair if labour stay 5 years long. As I said it can happen it is within our hand us reform voters but first we need to vote tactically with tory to avoid splitting the vote it is win-win for reform.
