  • Road Warriors: American forces are battling to maintain control over an increasingly hostile society. We spend a day on patrol with one platoon.

A group of soldiers stand in prayer before embarking on another mission. "May God deliver our enemies into our hands or frustrate their plans," pleads soldier Kevin Morgan. Posted in the notoriously dangerous town of Ramada, the troops are well aware that their lives are in constant danger. And they are invoking more than the gods in their bid for help. A lieutenant attempts to persuade a young boy to help. "You are a smart clever boy. You hear things, you see things - I need your help," he explains. But betrayal comes at a high price and most Iraqis are unwilling to succumb to American pressure.

it too bad that the interpreter is translating incorrectly. The solider said,' there Fadaeen and bad people are here.' The interpreter said," Is there Fadaeen in this area?"
Soilder said," it is a proven
interpreter said, " there is, there is."
Soldier said," Mashie" it's true I'm not lying.'
interpreter said," we have realities and we have detainees from from this region.
Soldier said," You need to help us."
interpreter said," second things, you want to help us and help your country."
Soldier said, like I said,' you are smart kid, and you know things. I know you hear things ,and see things. Okay.
lastly, the interpreter is interpreting correctly as the soldiers said.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to disband the Iraqi army is a lunatic.

Even the CIA said not to do it but most of them were un aware that the bush and politicians wanted to create civil war and that was the quickest way....

@@lilcaesars100 They didn't want to create civil war. They were trying to turn Iraq into a pro- western democracy. They were stupid for disbanding the Iraqi Army.

Paul brenner or however you spell tht idiots name. He's the one who made up false intel to force the disarming of the Iraqi military. Lot of people don't want to hear that if our command leadership and I'm talking the fucing 4 5 star generals running the war from the green zone, just got a hold of the republican guard members that they would have definitely worked with the US military to keep the violence down while Iraq could be stood up politically. We al know how it went though and I was over there from 04 to 05, I got there during that long period of silence and then all of a sudden wham!!!!!!! IED's, daily ambushes, daily attacks, Daly harassment fires you name it it happened another we started pushing back and that's when shit got interesting. I spent 17 months in Iraq during some if the most violent and dangerous times during the whole occupation and I can not believe I fucking survived. 18 years after coming home and after 1 more tour of duty to the middle east (Afghanistan 07 to 09) I still can bot believe what the fuck I went through over there. There are days we're I think about it and start to shake and then there are days I miss being there with my friends its a weird thing I cant explain it.

It's odd the soldiers made such a bid deal out of the guy selling fuel for 10x the cost. But then again, we we're probably there for the oil.

They litterally were the rebels there was multiple kinds of factions the Sunni rebels didnt want the American system because they would be dominated by the shia majority they were trying to prevent the civil war alqaeda came to start.

Rebels, insurgents, guerrilla fighters, partisan, militia, terrorist all the same fucking thing to me. I wasted everyone with any one of those titles above, didn't care what they were I only cared what they did. I understand picking up arms and fighting invaders, invaders are people who take your country establish Marshall law and now our flag is their flag and we are there to stay because their country is ours now. That's not exactly what went down in Iraq, there are so may factions over there wanting power and full control they can't even come together to lead their own country together, we tried to establish a across the board elected evenly spread out power but they didn't see it that way. Mid tour I no longer cared about their fucking life and country, if killing them meant going home and staying alive that's what I needed to do, and watch out for my buddies to the left and right of me. Fucking Iraq, 18 Years later and I'm still there wtf over!!!!
