Which software were you using that sounded like a regular piano?
I believe that was the Alicia Keys plugin by Kontakt
thank you for the good video. I Will be purchasing soon :)
Great, you're welcome, glad to help. Come back soon !
I've been looking at this primarily to control a Korg hardware bass synth, not use w/ computer. But this has no 9v. power input, but it does have what looks like a USB-A port labeled 'power'. Could I use a powered USB hub just to supply juice to the Keystation. Then I'd take the MIDI out of the USB-B right? And in my case w/ a couple of adapters, plug into the 5 pin jack on the synth. Thanks for any insight. Oh.....howz build quality? I've seen some complaints, but you know how people online love to criticize.
Just got this replacing my alesis v-mini and wow. The keys are much higher quality
Yes Indeed! Awesome, enjoy : )
hello, thank you for your video; I wanted to know how is the touch of this midi keyboard? I'm looking for a light-touch keyboard (synthesizer type); would this one fit? if not which one would you recommend? thank you !
I really like this action for what it is. Highly recommended
Are there any pluses over a smallish Yamaha keyboard that has midi out?
I like it because it's so thin
Thanks for posting this
for sure, thanks for watching
Hi! How does the keybed compare to the one from the Alesis you tested earlier?
After watching both videos I still don't know which of these to buy 😅
did you end up buying either of them ? im currently in the same predicament
@@maxtm3000 I bought the Acorn Masterkey 61, which has the same keybed as the M-AUDIO Keystation. I chose the Masterkey because it comes with the Artist Version of Studio One 5. For me as someone who is not a pianist I'm satisfied with the keybed, even though you can tell that the resistance is lower than on a real piano.
Afaik the keybed on the Alesis is a bit too stiff, but I didn't get to test it myself.
For me, the Acorn Masterkey 61 (which again has exactly the same keybed as the M-audio Keystation) is definitely a keeper.
@@birdieeethefirebird9299 Awesome, thank you for the fast reply haha
the keystation49 is my fav
what did you connect the piano in to that is connected to the usb port of your mac?
It looks like a USB hub of some sort. It plugs into your computer and it might have a couple USB ports or maybe an Ethernet or an HDMI port as well.
I have one it’s not connecting to ableton live anymore do you know why
hmmm? did you try it with a different DAW? Change the wire? Loose connection?
hey whats the best midi keyboard for a beginner but for the long run
This
Home Studio Gear Reviews Simple answer 😂😂 I like it “okey M-audio take my money” ( I really thought I could actually play chords and full song with my Akai mpk mini 25...) Guess I won’t buy the ps5 before summer x) thanks for the review, may you have a good day !
how to download keystation 49 midi driver
I'm on a mac and it does not need drivers
@@homestudiogearreviews Bhai tu ek saal baad reply kar raha mera kitna bada chutiya hai ....ab toh driver ki jarurat mujhe bhi nahi hai ....kyun ki mere pass do mac book hein 🤣
This was one of my first and only midi controllers i ever used. Except one other. Just one other. I been using this for yeaaaaaaars since 2015. She is suuupper nice. Just usb stick inside it breaks EASILY unless you take extreme CARE. im a bedroom beatmaker and i cant tell u how many times i tripped over the wire and it broke easily.
How does it compare with the MPK Mini II?
@@AtticusStount i have no idea i never used the mpk mini
Do you make your beats in the programs?? Or do you have a beat machiene?
@@foda99productions just the program. But sometime the midi :)
dude why don't you tell us what the other one is lol
Are those full sized keys?
smaller
both are full size however the gray keyboards keys are much shallower
The keys are too noisy when being depressed. In my opinion a bit disappointing.
that's just a normal keyboard
It's actually a horrible controller, there is no excuse for it even existing
Thanks I will save 120$
Do you have any recommend with price range similae to this keyboard? Im still cant decide, keystation or alesis q49 or midiplu x4 mini
Could you explain??? Sorry I know this comment is old but I’m just taken back by this bold statement
@aRotundCat no idea why maudio does this but the 49 is a childs toy and the 61 is very decent... go to a guitar center or something and compare the two you'll understand.
hahaha how do you really feel? This is my favorite one : / .........
