- Jason Kellogg, known as Country Boy Gas Garage on UA-cam, found and restored a 1948 Ford F5 church bus. The abandoned bus sat in a forest, growing a blanket of moss, ferns, and greenery, and became a home for rats. Jason walks us through how he gave the bus its first cleaning in 25 years.

I want to commend you for making that woman’s year by setting up that reunion. My dad always said that the best gift you can give someone is a good memory. They always fit, they go with every outfit and you can carry as many as you want, they don’t weigh much. The good ones that is.
Your post has made me remember so many of the good times we had in that bus and I thank you for that. You’ve put a smile on my face, and maybe a tear or two. It’s been fifth teen years since we lost him and it still brings a few tears to my face. They are tears of happiness though, I was blessed to have him as a father.

THAT WAS NOT A BATHROOM IT WAS A BAPTISMAL TUB TO CLEANSE THE SOULS AND MAKE IT FOR BAPTISMS
We eventually parked it on my grandparents farm and it was a place where us kids could sleep away from the adults and scare the younger cousins with Ghost Stories. God I loved the bus.
Where you are, do they make you get a bus licence to drive it? Don’t understand why I can drive a 50’ RV, yet I need a special license to drive a small bus like yours.

@@CountryBoyGasGarage in Ontario you need a special license. It seems we need special licenses for everything. For example, just last week I finally got my license to pass wind. It’s been an eight year process and I’m sorry to say last weeks two decree spike in global warming was completely my doing. But no worries, it too shall pass.

My dad did the same with a ford school bus, only it was a few years older. It was great, my mom was a teacher and my dad worked for the government and he had eight weeks of vacation time.
We saw every province and all the territories, it was only after that did my dad take us to Disney World. He felt we needed to see all of Canada first before we went anywhere in the states.
I was iffy with that then, but I agree with it now. I think that it’s a good idea regardless of what country you see first, I think everyone should Canada first. Lol
Like Canada the States is so different depending where you go and you should really get to know your own country before visiting another. Plus I’m glad we waited, this was I was old enough to enjoy Disney and still remember it.

Yes all the wiring was chewed away by the rats. I rewired the whole bus with a new kit. I made videos of all of it on my UA-cam channel
