I wouldn’t be surprised if this whole album sounds better in mono, like old Stones records. Said Stones records, of course, were engineered by Dave Hassinger, the producer here.
I've listened to this mono (I own it) and yes it destroys the stereo. So much punchier, and even rougher copies still shred. Definitely pick it up!
Phil’s bass in more prominent here, to good effect. But I still don’t understand those last words in the last verse.
