He practically beat the whole team! I feel lucky that i watched all his games after that during his prime. i think it was 2009. People also don't realize who didn't watch the games how in his prime every shift was something to watch. When he came on the ice, you got excited because he was always about to do something crazy even if it was just hit a guy. He was always very noticeable

Young ovi was just a different beast. In his later ywars he has relied a lot on his powerplay but man his first 5 years he was one of the most unique and dominant players ever. Run someone over like a truck one shift, and when he would get the puck at his blue line, everyone would rise to their feet. His speed and abiility to beat defenders was just special
When he gets the puck and starts heading north, he's a holy terror. So aggressive..it almost looks like he's out of control except, he ISN'T!. 😀 It reminds me of how Roenick used to skate, but even harder.

its funny cuz the first hla of his career he was known as being the guy who can score from anywhere, even from his ass. How many times has he scored while falling? There's never been a more dynamic scorer. But then he had a couple down years because everyone figured him out and he couldn't dangle anymore. So then he changed his game and that's how people know him nowadays. but I think that was significant, because he became even more efficient. there was a year or two when it was cringe watching ovi because the teams learned how to play him and he couldn't do it anymore. so im happy he found a way to keep scoring
